yall im on ep 8 and im SEETHING with rage at how qi lian is treating her, people told me he gets better but he's pissing me off so much the way he treats her like a fucking object and manhandles her, like get your fucking paws off her omg. I don't know if I should continue this

1) is this ML too toxic? I've heard conflicting opinions about him being cruel to her at the start 2) does this have a dumb plot twist like scent of time 3) is the FL smart or a damsel?
I just finished this and it made me smile throughout the whole thing, I felt like my teenage self giggling and kicking my feet while reading a cute shojo manga. What can I say? It was perfect.

I understand people who like him with Ruyi and to each their own, but personally they don't do it for me (although I admit there's still chemistry there, I think it's because LTG has chemistry with everyone LOL. Did you know a not insignificant part of the chinese fandom ships him with NYZ?)
I like him best with YY, I think they would make a great match when they both grow into themselves and they have a lot in common in terms of goals, life experience, etc

I thought he was more interesting as a character. Did not think he should be with FL, but interesting is subjective. I could write a whole new story on his life. What’s with the laugh emojis ? 🤔 people have different opinions, shocking, I know .

Hmm agree to disagree, personally thought he was better than the ML which I know others wouldn’t agree with, but hey, we all have different judgements. He had a lot of charisma and boyish charm that was really good for the role.

Interesting. I personally thought he was the breakout of the show, even if his character wasn’t main. It’s all right, I’m not forcing you to like him, I’m just looking for likeminded people !

Well, I thought he was really interesting and the character with the greatest potential. They ended up just using him for plot convenience, but exploring his psyche and having an actually consistent character arc more instead of having him go Lunatic Mode whenever it suited the plot, would have done wonders.
Lots of cnetizens seem to agree, and think he was one of the best parts of the show that could have been developed more. Who knows, maybe if there’s enough demand, they’ll give it to us
