I think Song Hye Kyo was great in That Winter the Wind Blows and even DOTS. But she was almost sleepwalking in Now We are Breaking Up and most certainly would have been poorly cast in Hyena.
Yes, right? No way would Song Hye Kyo (!) have done justice to the role. Wish that Kim Hyesoo had brought a fraction of her humor and sexiness to Juvenile Justice, though.
I wonder what happened to all the Hae Ryung fans? They were so vocal about how conniving Song Won was in S1 and S2. Now that BHR has her claws out for Lee Si Eun, I'd love to see them rationalize away her insecurity and meanness.
The replacement is still very good and I have seen her in plenty of makjang's. Kim Bo Yun I will always love because…
I have to disagree about the replacement. Nothing about her is appealing. The hair, the clothes, her voice, the acting.... The tone shifts abruptly whenever she comes on.
I think there are tons of sexy older actresses out there. How did she land the role?
I started this without too many expectations because one of my favorite podcasters said the trailer cast a strong conservative, law/order vibe. But I love Kim Hye Soo and had to see what she was up to after Hyena and Signal (one of my all-time faves). In one night, I devoured six episodes.
The first case reminded me of Mouse; the writer of that one was also inspired by the real-life murder trial. Eager to see how the cheating scandal plays out, as a parent who barely got through the crazed competition for college admissions in the States. I think it's even worse in Korea.
The original SH had a more convincing entitled spoiled brat look. The new dude just looks like deer caught in…
Lol - trashy. Great to see you here, LG! Of all the swaps, the MIL is the most disappointing, Kim Bo Yun was for me the most delightful actor of the original cast - so arch, sly and sexy. Can't get past the ugly hairstyle of her replacement.
@taegukSpot on ! Love your descriptions of the three casts, I almost roll of bed LOLI can’t quite put a word…
Yes, the 3rd season of Penthouse fell off the cliff. Hoping that's not the case here, since I have spent hundreds of hours not just watching S1 and S2, but commenting on the message board. This once occupied a huge part of my day!
Yes, it has everything. I'm also a sucker for dramas with scruffy journalists and subversives. The contrast between…
I should have said the 80s, not 90s. The main characters were idealists in the 80s operating a pirate broadcasting operation to protest Chun Doo Hwan. Materially, Korea was a developing country. The "Healer" first envisioned and the Healer in the story have different aims and technologies.
Came here solely because of Shopping King Louie. But I can't get past Go Ah Ra's terrible acting. Does it get any better? I thought she was unconvincing in Miss Hammurabi too.
This one has a little bit of everything: action, political intrigue, romance. It's one that I recommend to everyone…

Can they do this without Song Joong Ki???
