Coming into this with no expectations. I just loved the two MLs in Come to You Like a Star (clunky title, yes) and wanted to see this new take on housing. Plus, who doesn't like real estate porn?
sooo good at Came to Me and Became a Star and Top Star Yoo Baek!I loved his emotional scenes, he's good!
Just discovered Came to Me (and the KBS Drama World specials in general) from TheFanGirl Verdict. I loved him in Chuno, Camellia, and now this. What range and what heart!
This one wasn't for me. Dropped it half way through. Not a fan of MLs who fall in love at first sight just because…
It was very slow going for me as well. But I pressed on solely for Oh Jung Se (Noh Gyu Tae) and Yeon Hae Ryan (his lawyer wife). I wanted to see if he would extricate himself from the trap laid by Hyang Mi, an infuriating character whose motives for her action do not add up - at least not for me.
I could care less about the serial killer and even the romance. I stayed for the redemption arcs between mother and daughter, husband and wife, and Dong Baek's blossoming as a person worthy of being loved.
I was not a fan of Ta Mi, and didn't see the chemistry between her and Morgan. What was gripping were Ga-gyeong's…
You captured my thoughts exactly. Im Soo Jung was the weak link in Chicago Typewriter and she goes for another younger man in Melancholia (will probably skip that). She's a black hole that sucks energy and humor.
Whereas Scarlett was magnetic and radiant. And Gagyeong was just compelling. Could not keep my eyes off her intensity.
The husband is one of the worst characters we are introduced to but he just gets away with everything unquestioned…
Having gone through a divorce myself (not because of another person), I don't think it's as simple as poof, split up first then hook up with someone else. Divorce entails so much division, loss and rancor and heartbreak. I can understand why many people would want to try assuage pain or a void without breaking everything else in their life. It's not fair to the left behind spouse, but I stick by my original opinion. She was not fully there
i dont know if this is too late, but dude definitely go for Beyond evil first. Cause like, for me, nothing can…
I loved Beyond Evil too. But Nobody Knows is more chilling and uplifting at the same time. Beyond the friendship/redemption tropes, the commentary on religion and mothering is unsettling and deeply affecting.
This was surprisingly a good laugh, I found some of the situations hilarious. Only up to E 13. No doubt its about…
I'm watching this again six months later because it's that funny! There are dark moments, but it's more poignant than anything else. While being a savage takedown of the Cheongdam-dong set, it treats the two FLs with dignity.
Why does Judge Park always wear her coat at her desk? I don't understand it.
Agreed. Viki commenters pointed this out too. I guess the point is that she doesn't want to present as a woman, unlike the secretary. But it was realistic in that she wore the same outfit more than once, as average workers do.
You nailed it. FL's mother had no redeeming qualities - just antagonized everyone in her way. I get the bottled rage of women of that generation but she had no friends or hobbies or any redeeming qualities.
Started this today to cure my hangover from Inspector Koo. Two episodes in and I'm already wowed.
I found this after finishing Inspector Koo too. I think Nobody Knows is superior. For one thing, the FL is convincing (Kim Seo Hyung can do no wrong), whereas Lee Young Ae is just not believable as a deranged woman who hits rock bottom and loses all sense of hygiene and sanity out of grief. Kim Seo Hyung would have been! (As would Kim Hye Soo and Kim Sun Ah).
I loved the all-star cast. Jun Ji Hyun never looked more beautiful to me than when she's confronting the murderer, in her wheelchair without any makeup. The empathy for his trauma and her courage are etched into her amazing bone structure.
Also wow I didn't know that the Ga Yeong actress is married to the Coffee Prince second lead! :O wow
Yes! Both of them choose such interesting projects and roles. Ga Gyeong was so much more interesting than Tammy, and even Scarlett - and I LOVE Scarlett.
I could care less about the serial killer and even the romance. I stayed for the redemption arcs between mother and daughter, husband and wife, and Dong Baek's blossoming as a person worthy of being loved.
