a lot of the people were chosen based on looks not talent imho
Although I never shied away from admitting that I do like pretty people lmao, 'a lot of the people' is bit of an exaggeration since it sounds like I added mostly terrible or sub-par actors here whose only saving grace is their face, rather than the fact that they just happen to be both talented and good-looking (take Nini and Bailu for example, they're both gorgeous women with excellent acting skills). I love staring at beautiful people, but I don't really dare to call them my favourites if they're bad at their job itself — like Gulnazar who I find as beautiful as a painting, especially in historical dramas, but I haven't really been impressed by her acting skills yet so she isn't here. I also tend to enjoy writing paragraphs (guess this can apply to this comment too) on their looks for the sake of some humour in this list, however that's never been the only quality of theirs that I care about. Besides, there's some actors in this list I don't find physically attractive (won't say exactly which ones for obvious reasons) but fell in love with the way they portrayed their characters so well that they're forever imprinted in my memories after watching the drama/movie.
I know and respect that you're stating your own opinion, and I have nothing against it since I'm a self-proclaimed shallow person already, I just felt like clarifying because I didn't wanted anyone to think less of the people in this list or brush them off as 'pretty faces' just because I can't be trusted XD
Link to watch it (subbed): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nD4F3pfIkNM I can't seem to find the original/raw video on 流云蕊's bilibili channel at the moment so I can't link it :( No idea what happened. But talking about this short though, it was so freaking good that I wish there was an entire drama about them, or at least a novel. I don't think I've read a baihe novel set in republican era with a lawyer mc x childhood friend fl yet.
"I don't know. Write a few words. Just put your heart into it" "You can write anything you like" "I just have to put my heart into it, right?" [proceeds to write 'Chen Chuying, Cao Guangyan, go eat shit'] I swear, Pu Yiyong's a riot. 💀
Do you ever just look at a title's synopsis and go "holy shit how do people come up with concepts and storylines like that?" because... I just did. I can already tell I'm going to love it, for some reason there's not even a single doubt in my mind that they won't execute it well or anything.
Personally, it's going to take me all night to catch up with the last one, judging by the amount of episodes I was hesitant to watch because I didn't wanted it to end. So, by the time I'm done, this drama's basically over too 💀
I really hope you're also a teenager cause your profile has a picture of Arthur Chen when he was only 16 years…
"an extreme pedo" you have lost it. Take your meds. Fucking creep willing to go to any length over a disagreement out of all things. Feel free to call me a teenager, but it won't change the fact that your immaturity can put 12yo edgelords to shame.
Aren't they both only 19 though? Pu Yiyong has been in a coma for two years since he was 17 so he's mentally still…
You really said "You're literally sitting on your phone waiting for a notification from me" as if you aren't jobless enough to check my profile because you have nothing to say in your defence and can only throw around kindergarten-level insults. And no, I'm not a hypocrite or a pedo. I watched Evernight back when he was 16 and I was 12. It's not anything like romantic relationships between 20yo adults and 16yo high schoolers that you're dead-set on defending. And the pic of him on my profile? It's literally just a fight scene. He's in a full body armour. It wasn't even about him, I was posting the fight scene I liked because my profile is xianxia themed.
Edit: Also, it says 'beautiful people I'd bark for at 3am', it's a list of my favourite actors and actresses, in which I only talked about Chen Feiyu's nose 💀 as for 'my reason to live and procrastinate', it's a list of my favourite dramas and movies. But judging by your reading comprehension skills in general, you probably can't read.

Referring to the last part of your comment — yep I agree, it could be the case here. After reading @flours' comment, I also saw his actions in a different way. I was just bothered at first because, well, let's not pretend, it's not uncommon to come across dramas where adult-minor relationships are portrayed in one particular way that makes them look completely perfect, with no power imbalance or any other imperfections in sight. That's why I commented that, since I didn't wanted this drama to take that route.

Lmao. I'm not a piece of shit, but I surely am 'judgmental' if an adult is dating a high schooler, I'm not talking about 17yo and 18yo (where they're legally adult-minor but have an age difference of just a 1 year ) here but 16yo and 20yo. Guess I should've seen this reply coming when you took it personally in your last reply, since you're somehow offended at the fact that a comment on a mdl is going to hurt your poor bf's feelings when the exact situation I was referring is nowhere close to your relationship. Also yes, I'm having a nice day after not throwing ad-hominems at every single disagreement.

"According to this logic then it would be weird for us to still be dating as soon as he became an adult?" Don't take this personally, I have no opinion on you or your relationship. You're free to do as you like, and if you didn't dislike that aspect in the drama, good for you. You just said it wasn't a big deal in your opinion, so I replied back with mine. Let's agree to disagree I guess, we don't need to be on the same page here because I doubt any of us want to change our opinions. Have a nice day.

They could also be 20, I think I remember the drama mentioning it before. And it wouldn't have been a big deal if she was 18 or something, but 16 years olds are mentally, experience and maturity-wise closer to 14yos than 18yos imo. 4 years of age-gap is suitable when both in the relationship are at least adults. Maybe it's considered a norm in some places, but personally, if I saw a 19/20yo dating or crushing on a 16yo high schooler irl, I would definitely find it creepy. Because at the age of 20, you can have a job, buy a house, access alcohol, get a driving licence and even a gun licence in many countries, while at the age of 16? You're stuck in a high school with a part-time job at most, the power difference is obvious and I find it concerning.
I'm glad she divorced her cheating husband, they've been married for years and even have kids together, yet her husband cheated on her with some college girl. Absolutely disgusting. There's also a reason why despite being a good actress and popular for her looks in c-ent, she hasn't done as many works as someone like her should've had, and the reason is that she sacrificed her career to focus on her marriage-life because both her husband and mother-in-law were quacks.
Her husband would get mad at her for acting in romance dramas with slightest skinship (not saying someone's feelings aren't valid but why purposely marry an actress and then tell her to not do her job? besides it's not like he ever cared about HER feelings when he cheated), while her mother-in-law often berated her for being an actress, claiming she's not 'worthy' of being part of her family because of her career and for being an year older than her husband (never saw someone being so angry and bitter over a 1 year old age-gap before lmao). I hope her kids are doing well and she can finally do as she likes. She didn't deserve such a shitty husband.
