It was disturbing how during the aphrodisiac scene, they treated Xiao Rinzhou's maid molesting that random guy as a 'joke'. There's nothing funny about something like this just because the victim happens to be a man.
Perhaps it's an unpopular opinion but I was a bit weirded out by the doll arc. She's literally wearing a high school uniform and Yiyong even said "Her age is probably between primary school and high school" while she kept changing her forms like a gif, so Guangyan could probably guess her age (which is 16 I guess?) but he still blushed from time to time and seemed to have a puppy crush on her. I'm SO glad he didn't go any further or did anything creepy, and I also know that she's supposedly a ghost of the doll rather than the original girl herself, but still... it's weird. At least to me. Didn't seem like it would've had affected the plot much if she was a college student or something, so why a high school girl? But if it was indeed crucial to the plot for her to be a high school girl, then why add this one-sided-crush-angle between her and a man in his early 20s? I still like this drama though, I'm just not fond of inappropriate age-gaps (I mean adult x minor to be more exact) being normalised.

I've only seen a few episodes so far, but I must say, Yiyong's mom is so endearing I want to put her in my pocket and protect her with my life. I hope nothing bad ever happens to her, otherwise I'll dramatically cry in the shower at 2am (yes I do shower at 2am) and it'll be this drama's fault.
Pian Ran and Si Ying can honestly be besties, they've got the same 'idgaf I will do what I want to do' vibe and even the same fashion sense (since they both wear red) lmao. I'd love it if she came back and met her. I can already imagine the chaos they'll create together.
I hope Jiwu and Mo Nv doesn't end up together. I couldn't care less if she 'needed to do this and that in order to survive' (Tian Huan didn't even have a motive like that though), she has done unforgivable things to him in both of their past lives and nothing can erase it. Jiwu deserves better. A LOT better. Even being alone and content with his life would be a better ending for him, there's nothing wrong with being single afterall. Honestly, at first I thought they'll set him up with Fuya that's why they changed this character's gender from the novel (Fuya was originally male and had a puppy crush on Li Susu), but it seems like this might not be the case because there's more interactions between her and Tantai Jin's subordinate, and she has barely seen Jiwu. Either way, I only wish a good ending for Jiwu. He was one of the kindest character even in the novel, so I have a soft spot for him.
Looking forward to this. Although I doubt anything will top the og bad kids because it was perfect already, but since it's a Japanese remake, I guess it could be grittier and more direct (even though I liked the symbolism in bad kids) because they don't need to worry about censorship.

Ikr! Ming Ye was such a jerk in the novel, along with the ML and the novel's noncon parts were... uncomfortable to say the least. I'm happy to see how they made them both likable in the drama, to the point where I'm actually rooting for the CP to get together here.
