I think the reason why I like Su Yishui character is the reason he turn cold and want power to himself make sense because of the way his mother and father treat but really I can see him caring about those who near her such as his sister ..his surbordinate as well. And when he fell in love, he can fall deeply and give up a more ambitious way for love without any hesitate. So its what he wanted all along.
Mu Qingge gifted Su Yi Shui a beautiful tree. She just wanted him to start new life with sweetness, no bitter past. I like the way talk about about what tree means "In spring, it grows green leaves, In summer, it's shelter from wind and rain. In autumn, it bears fruits for us to pick. In winter, it provides branches for firewood" Mu Qingge is such romantic shifu. To my personal take from her saying tree represents (new) life and protection which she was giving to her Xiao Shui. Which Shui will be also giving to Ranran (new life of Mu Qingge).
Her role is a bit different from the novel bcos the novel doesn't have her love line for either suyu or another guy. He died in the end. I wish drama ended like in novel..but oh well. I wonder if others think she better die or and its already fine with her end in the drama?
This drama is satisfactory to my long wait. The CGI and actions scenes one of the best i have ever seen in any C Period drama. It is breathtaking. And the love story is heart throb.💓
