Want to suggest Smile to Life but the FL did break up with the ML, a celebrity/singer. But the ML refused to accept…
Hi! Yes, I’ve seen that drama and it was a nice one. It’s worth a special mention and I can personally tolerate the angst because it wasn’t so bad. The ML is loyal and devoted to the FL so what’s important is that their feelings for each other are constant and the ML is not the wishy-washy indecisive type.
LOVE ME LIKE I DOThis is a cute, lighthearted, funny drama and I included it in the list because even the reason…
There was nothing original about the plot but it’s well done and there’s a lot of funny scenes. The ML is hilarious and their voiceover dialogues are very amusing, especially the ML’s. So it’s a plus because you can hear what he’s thinking most of the time and what he’s feeling. He’s a CEO of a company who designs and manufactures toys and the FL wants to be a toy designer. He has hemophobia from a childhood trauma so he gets dizzy and even faints at the sight of not just blood but anything red. So you can imagine their buildings and offices has nothing red on it, not even the workers are allowed to wear red lipstick. He has sunglasses on at most times even when indoors for safeguard against anything red that might unexpectedly come into his line of vision. I remember one scene when he was chasing after the FL while she went for a night jog. He was in a suit with a group of men in suits, all of them wearing dark glasses jogging after her and her neighbor commented that her boyfriend looks like he’s from the mafia. When he met her and discovered that the moment he touched her he doesn’t get dizzy anymore after seeing red, you can see it a mile coming. Of course he started clinging on to her for dear life 😆 Good thing they did not drag the phobia around throughout the whole drama, he recovered fairly fast enough with her as his cure. The bad thing he did which caused her to put him in the doghouse for a few days was because he was still feeling insecure about his relationship with her. He was not quite her official boyfriend yet at that time, he was still in the probationary status and she was going to go for some work training which will take her away from him for 3 months. He was all magnanimous and trying to be supportive about it but his friend heckled and teased him about the girl finding someone else during the time she’ll be away from him. He was still confident no one can lure her away from him until he heard that his love rival, the FL’s senior during college who is now one of the top designers and who has been earnestly chasing after her as well is going to be one of those trainers. The moment he started imagining them bonding together during those 3 months, including the two going inside a hotel room together, he started panicking and his good intentions flew out the window. He did everything to stop her from going, including shamelessly pretending to be sick and having a relapse of his hemophobia. He got caught pretty fast, too. But she forgave him quickly enough. They were a cute and sweet couple and I remember there’s really no heavy drama here at all. It’s the perfect antidote after watching dramas that end up giving you heartburn 😊
LOVE ME LIKE I DO This is a cute, lighthearted, funny drama and I included it in the list because even the reason for their one misunderstanding was rather funny and very brief that I promise this won’t stress you out. I watched this to destress after watching “Maid’s Revenge”. I’m still kicking myself for not looking at the spoilers for MR before watching that one. So here’s the spoiler below for Love Me Like I Do if you want to peek on what that misunderstanding was about.
I thank you for having this show in your list! thanks to it, I decided to watch it, and I have no regrets. However,…
This is a Taiwanese drama with less inhibitions in their censorship compared to Kdramas and Cdramas, and I would tag this as a taboo/forbidden romance so if you’re too sensitive and feel disturbed by dramas that skirt around the boundaries of scandalous romances/affairs, then you probably would want to skip this because the couple’s relationship started even when she was still his teacher and he was her student. The FL actress is beautiful, and the ML actor is also good-looking and very manly to look at, so their relationship that evolved from teacher-student to a more intimate relationship was sold convincingly. ML came from a privileged background and is used to having his way, so he’s bold and aggressive. You can feel his intense emotions, his rather obsessive, passionate feelings toward the FL, the recklessness that can also be found typically in a young man with raging hormones and in the throes of infatuation. The actor sold it very well, no wonder they chose him for this role. Their chemistry is off the richter scale, and they have hot and steamy scenes. They did have their share of roadblocks, but the ML is persistent, clingy and cannot live without the FL. They just couldn’t hold back their feelings for each other, so even if they had a brief misunderstanding, it’s not enough to keep them apart for too long. They are one strong couple for being able to overcome the difficulties in their relationship and made it to their happy ending. The story has a good plot with enough plot twists to keep you glued to the screen til the end.

LESSON IN LOVE… although it can’t really be classified under the “no break up” drama in the truest sense of the word , I still highly recommend this so this will go down on my “Special Mention Dramas” post. There’s a spoiler below for those who want to check out the angst level before watching.

Yes, I think I did mention the angst on my comments but I remembered that the ML was rather obssessed and did not give up nor really accepted it when the FL pushed him away and it didn’t seem like their misunderstanding lasted for a long time because they were together again after a while. Lol, I skipped on some of those parts where they had the misunderstanding but the overall story was worth watching for me that’s why it’s on this list. 😊
Knight of the Rose is a cute drama with a great ending. I posted spoilers below (This is only for those who want…
This is one of those rare dramas where the FL is physically more stronger than the ML. Usually it’s the ML who saves the FL in distress, but this time it’s the ex-Special Forces FL who kicks ass and always saves the ML. She could easily overpower him with her brawn but his brain is in the genius level. The FL’s brain is no slouch either in the brain department. So cute how they had twins at at end (I think she was already pregnant before their actual wedding ceremony). I also found this scene amusing when the 2 fathers were sitting down in a family meeting with their 2 adult children standing like kids being scolded after the FL’s dad stormed into the ML’s house the morning after FL did not go home and her strict dad found her wearing only the ML’s shirt after sleeping with him. He referred his daughter as the “flower that got plucked by a pig” 😆. The ML’s father already liked the FL for his son so there’s really no parental objection. This happened right after the one and only misunderstanding they had after they became officially a couple. They did not break up but the FL found out and misunderstood that the ML’s pharmaceutical company was involved and at fault during the last military mission the FL and her dad were in. Her dad lost his hand while saving her and she almost died, too. The ML had been trying to look for the female soldier who saved him during that hostage situation and was jubilant when he finally learned it was her all along but for her it was the opposite. The ML immediately went to get evidence to prove to his girlfriend that their company was just framed up and did not do anything wrong. The misunderstanding occurred around the last half of episode 19 and got cleared up halfway in episode 20. So for me, the angst level was not so bad, because he was willing to do everything to not lose her, and he gave her a backhug before he left and asked her to trust him and promised to find out the truth and come back to her as soon as he can. After she calmed down, she followed him to show her support and just like that, they made up. So their misunderstanding was handled very well and did not drag on and on, I would say.

It depends on the person watching. I think they broke up after her mother tried to kill him. She told him that…
I do understand that folks who like to watch “no break up” dramas are actually looking forward to a feel-good, stress free show with non toxic plots. But even if there’s no official break up, sometimes you can still see some conflicts and misunderstandings that are kind of painful to watch. I can personally take small doses off angst but I skip on the parts I can’t stand to watch. I probably wouldn’t quibble much if the main couple has a misunderstanding that lasts for a few days at the most, then gets resolved pretty quickly without dragging it out. So I guess it depends on the level of angst one can personally tolerate.
Hi! I loved that drama, but I feel like they were never officially together even though they had great comunication…
I guess it might be something like Sell Your Haunted House, then? It’s a good drama to watch but they never became an official couple even if they sort of like each other.
