Can someone recommend me same drama like this ... im soo obsessed with rebel princess, princess weiyoung, princess…
How about The Love by Hypnotic? The FL is a royal princess who has the ability to perform hypnosis on people, and the skill she has came from a secret knowledge passed down only to those in their direct royal lineage. The main couple had an arranged , political marriage for the sake of their respective kingdoms but fell in love with each other afterwards. The love triangle is fierce to the point that both her husband (ML) and the SML (there’s a twist in their story) started a war with each other because both of them are in love with her and were fighting over her. Their chemistry is off the charts and the main couple are very touchy feely and intimate with each other most of the time once they freely acknowledged their love for each other. Oh, and another thing, there is also a SFL so desperately in love with the ML but never got even one single chance with the ML from start to finish.
Honestly, I would sound brutal but Minglan is not smart at all because her goal is too random and unclear.....…
On the other hand, I love dramas with very faithful MLs, and these ones easily top my favorite ML list:
-Ye Hua in Ten Miles of Peach Blossom (he was an immortal crown prince who remained faithful to Bai Qian even when he thought she died already and it took 300 years before he found her alive. He spent all those years trying to bring her back from the dead, he was so grief-stricken when he lost her).
-Wei Wu Ji in Sound of the Desert (He was an undefeated general and also connected to the Imperial family, so his marriage had to be granted and approved by the emperor himself. But he never gave in to the imperial scheming and family pressures no matter how strong. He would rather not marry if it meant marrying another woman other than Xin Yue. Imagine the reputation of both a man and woman back in those days in that culture if they choose to live together publicly as husband and wife without marriage and the woman becomes pregnant. Those two decided not to care what others think and just went ahead with their very public relationship until they were able to escape the palace machinations and treachery, even if they had to fake their deaths in order to live their lives far away where they can have a peaceful, happy life together with their child. I Iike how both ML and FL were smart and not easily manipulated.)
-Chu Bei Jie in General and I (another ML who is laser focused only on the FL and both ended up becoming Emperor and Empress in the end. No other woman stood a chance of coming between these two no matter how hard they tried. Even when the ML thought that the FL died he never looked at another woman even during the time she was not with him because he gave her a vow that he would never love anyone but her in his whole life).
-Li Qian in The Love by Hypnotic (he made princess Ming Yue his only wife and no amount of pressure or blackmail can make him take the SFL obssessed with him as his second wife, and believe me, the SFL was so in love with him. There was also another SML who is willing to start a war just to get Ming Yue back, but Li Qian would also readily to go to war than give up his beloved wife. The main leads were so inseparable that they would rather die together than be separated. Of course it’s a happy ending so they both lived happily ever after.)
-Li Hong Bin in Oh My Sweet Liar (He loves Xi Rou and no one else can come between these two. He married her because he loved her and what I like about the ML is that he is very smart about female entrapments that even if someone wants to trick him so she can become his concubine, he easily escapes the trap. He never liked the SFL and the more she chased him the more he disliked her and is not averse to showing his dislike at all.)
-Mo Lian Chiang in The Eternal Love (he only loves the FL Qu Tan Er and even if he had concubines whom he was forced to marry because he was a royal prince and his marriages were all arranged, he never gave them the time of day nor ever came near them. That fact was established from his conversation with the FL that she was the first and only woman he ever slept with. He had another marriage forced on him after he married the FL but it was so insignificant and you can’t really get pissed off with Lian Chiang because he is totally indifferent to everyone else other than the FL. He doesn’t even make the effort to give single bit of attention to these other women, it’s like they don’t exist in his world. He went straight from his wedding ceremony with the other woman to spending his wedding night with the FL. His new wife sent her maid to fetch him back but he told her to scram and he only spends all his time with the FL and with no one else. He was also very protective of the FL that he would even give out warnings or punish anyone who offends the FL, even if it’s only a slight offence. The FL also knows he dotes on her a lot so she is confident and not above rubbing the others noses in with how the prince loves only her and spoils her a lot.)
Honestly, I would sound brutal but Minglan is not smart at all because her goal is too random and unclear.....…
Lol, I agree with you, my fellow drama lover, I also don’t like the idea of polygamy but for some reason, I couldn’t stop watching Yanxi Palace either right through the end and strangely enough, I was able to go through it all and ended up satisfied with the ending. I was glad I gave this drama a chance despite my initial misgivings and I did not regret watching all 70 plus episodes. I would even rewatch it...so glad I did not give this drama a miss.

Oh yes, I liked Yanxi Palace, too. I’ve never come across a more cunningly smart FL as the one in Yanxi Palace. She gives as good as she gets and more besides. No other villains can best her and there were a lot of scheming villains in the harem. No wonder she got the cynical emperor’s heart when he never even gave it to others, including his late empress, current empress, and all his concubines.
.........- both the Empress Dowager and Empress get the fruits they sow- A'Wu is entrusted to take care of the…
Lol how on earth did I let myself get roped in....I usually don’t watch until a drama ends to save myself the torture of waiting for the next episodes.
.........- both the Empress Dowager and Empress get the fruits they sow- A'Wu is entrusted to take care of the…
XQ taking on a second wife would totally ruin the drama for me. He shouldn’t have made a vow to only have one wife if he’s not going to be able to keep it. That’s going to be a letdown.
Some spoiler I got : Yuxiu got married with General Song and is pregnant. Awu's cousin failed to seduce XQ. Seems…
I’m one of those people who actually prefer spoilers so I don’t invest my time watching dramas only to get burned in the end with crappy endings. Thank you so much for this. ?
Wow, a drama without breakup! That’s my favorite kind of drama. I’m in! Thanks for the info.
I will go into a few details of the drama so if you hate spoilers then please do not proceed further.
I really cannot speak for others because everybody has a different personal taste and opinion. From my own personal viewpoint, I like fluffy and angst-free romcom shows because it’s stress-free and a breath of fresh air for me after watching all those dramas with conflicts and long separations/breakups. I especially hate the endings that have tragedy, cliffhangers, as well as undefinitive open endings.
ML has the wealthy CEO background commonly found in dramaland but he does not come across with the typical bossy , arrogant, egoistic attitude. He is actually a nice and calm ML. FL is not the annoying type which I dislike in most dramas, she is pretty and popular with a nice personality as well. Their first meeting consistently reflected their characters. He stepped on a bus for the first time in his life, I assume, since he does not know how to pay (I can totally believe it because I myself have never stepped inside a bus here in the country where I live now, so I wouldn’t know how to get in and out nor pay either). The FL was the one who helped him out of that situation he found himself in. They already have good first impressions of each other from their first meeting so when they met again, it paved for a nice easy rapport between them, thus their romance begin. He did take advantage when she mistook him for someone else and did not tell her his real identity but only because he was already curious and drawn to her by then and wanted to be able to stay near her, thus he ended up as one of her employees. Even when she found out his true identity, the conflict was resolved quickly without any dramatic fanfare. They became official early on since Ep 8, I think, and any other conflicts that happened in the show was never about their own personal relationship. Rather it’s to showcase their deep feelings and trust in each other, and also show that the ML is no slouch in his ability to protect the FL if needed. After all, even if he’s a pussycat around his girl, he’s still not a CEO for nothing if he does not have the ability to be one. And I like the fact that he treats the FL very well indeed.
I would personally rewatch this show. Even if others might find the plot as bland as vanilla, for me it’s not the case. I cannot say this is one of the best shows out there, but this is not one of the worst shows I’ve seen either, and there are plenty of good scenes worth re-watching. This show fits my own taste that’s why I like it.
Yep, I watched it and did not like the draggy angsty parts and there’s plenty, especially with the wishy-washy main couple. I skipped through most of the scenes. I’ve watched way better dramas than this one.
As someone who usually avoids non-Korean dramas, I must say....THIS DRAMA IS UH MA ZING! Like, I've binged two…
You guys are awesome! I love going in to these forums because I get great feedbacks. I skipped watching this show but after reading the comments I decided to give this a try and I am loving it so far. Thank you!
Its called double standards.Cheating ML´s is the worst thing i know.
I totally agree with you, I also came across The Handsome Cowboy and it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever I remember that drama. Thanks for the spoilers, I’ll pass on this one. The one thing I hate watching the most are dramas with a manwhore for a ML.
