No one but Luo Yunxi could have better played this ethereal role. The haters must be the children who are enjoying teenage fairy tales and ugly graphics which I can draw myself, with plushies , rubber artifacts and cartoon like characters. Sad that so few can appreciate a series with deeper meaning than romcom/mean fathers and court politics and a martial world full of idiots.

The CGI and special effects are excellent, much better than the rubber artifacts in other series and graphics which I can draw myself. The amount of talent in creating the environment, the costumes, the acting are beyond what I've seen "ever". It's a top class production with great actors, I'll rewatch for sure when I don't have to focus on the subtitles and can enjoy the beauty.

He stands there so proud and not intimidated by that huge ship - everyone thought they'd be crushed, then he reveals he owns it and changes into some glorious clothes to match. Go Tang Lici, go!

Oh no, I'm sure this series is great with CY, but am on episode 2 - and would much prefer a CGI/AI spider than that brown rubber toy! What a downer, hope there's not too many of these, sigh!

Someone is jealous of the justified praise and accolades for Luo Yunxi, and wants credit for their fave? Well if they were worth it, they would be the main lead with their own series. LYX is the only one who can accomplish this role for WoF. Who can know the intent of the strange folks out there - many hearts are dark inside.

Wow Luo Yunxi so ethereal and gorgeous in his flowing robes - each episode is worth rewatching just for this

Anything with Luo Yunxi is a wonderful experience. I can't wait for this to start tonight. It will probably be the only series this year where I stay up late waiting for the next episodes. I'm sure it's his dancing skills that make him so natural and lithe in martial arts. I also love his makeup here, no serious black eyeliner and glossy/red lips to hide his handsomeness.

The Patriarch wanted Su Muyu to succeed him due to his pure heart, but why did Su Muyu give the position to Su Change? They grew up together, he knew his friend had the propensity to be evil?

Bit confused here. Is the soul reaper's hall the same as the 3 folks in the cave that control everything?

I think Su Mu Yu is conflicted with being an assassin and keeping his promise to protect the Patriarch, and also conflicted about Su Chang He as his friend who wants a new leader. I would also be trying hard to look emotionless so my enemies don't know what I'm thinking. In the later episodes, his eyes tear up so subtly when s.h.t.f. to the ones he cares about, but he has to be cautious all the time.

So even if they choose a good Patriarch, he's still under their control?

I think Gong Jun has a more compassionate face and the other one a more scheming face so the choice is right

Wow, I'm noticing (is it just me) that in the last few series I've watched, that while one is negotiating/confronting someone, another comes and stabs you in the back (so many scenes of the sword coming through your chest from the back). No more honor in fighting for sure. Hope this isn't indicative of the environment in which we now live, a literal stab in the back!

Been waiting forever for this - I really miss Luo Yunxi. Hope it will be a HE for him.

I hope he's playing a good guy, his face is so gentle and kind - always wish he had a bigger role

These 3 young actors really did a good job playing with our emotions and kept the 2nd half interesting

What a wild ride, enjoyed it immensely. Two comments: why was the blood so orange and why do female generals have to fight with a bow and arrow? I'd much rather the FL used a sword and also have a bow-arrow weapon like XJS for mid-long range use. Also it would be wonderful to learn from FSG's sifu (who was it?)

Goodbye Xia Jing Yan, excellent acting and kudos to Qin Tianyu. His was the only death for which I cried.
