He, like me, is an avid wuxia/xanxia fan. I'd be so delighted to be transported into one of these fantasy stories that I'd be enjoying myself tremendously, especially knowing that if I died, I'd just come back to normal life (and back-stabbing office politics where others take credit for your ideas and achievements).

I am glad I watched it as it reflects the real world struggles between different peoples and the possible love between them. The ML is handsome and I hope he gets more lead roles, and the FL grew on me although she's not the typical "beauty". It's a good story and the hidden villain being so "benevolent" but was so evil and manipulating gave me the creeps but I didn't know why. However the ending was so sad (the illusion of happy times didn't help me at all) and I bawled my eyes out - on Christmas eve. It just shows that the actors did well as it impacted me slowly and gradually and I didn't realize it. Watch it - it's worth it.

I love it when Tang San talks - his voice is so deep and calming, great for de-escalations

I would have preferred the 4 tribe chiefs to be tougher so Tang San can learn skills from them

Will Xiao Wu ever come back in her "human" form? I'm so sad he talks to her and then she disappears.

Yeah, I can't believe that I've developed an affection for some soul beasts ...

Am looking forward to this, but sure wish they had spent the money and effort to give us better closure as part of the series. Not sure why they didn't do this - was editing too hard, would they have had to pay the actors a lot more?

I stopped watching 1/3 of the way. Waiting to see if it's happy ending, will watch the rest.

Not really, she's been admiring him as an author for all his books so I think she's a very willing participant and might have wanted to help him with his illness but didn't know how. Maybe she was intimidated (wrongly) that he was a famous writer so her only way to approach him was to praise him for his books (except the one with the bad ending), so the mutual attraction was already there.

Would have made a great happy ending scene!

I really enjoyed this series, not just for the cute interactions of beautiful Esther and handsome Ding but because:
- the story shows that love can motivate a person to keep living even if they are "chronically sick"
- selfless love grows when a person treats you well
- unforgiveness, bitterness and resentfulness hurts yourself and others more than you realize
- your parents are sometimes guilty of "tough love" but you won't know till it's too late
- our dreams and imaginations can change the course of our lives
- always have hope for a better tomorrow.
I have been so spoiled by the excellent acting here that I can't bring myself to watch the "other two".

I'm happy that Miao Miao is forgetting her original objective to make Mu Sheng fall in love with her so she can get out to the real world. Only when she is 100% in love with him, can it reach 100%. What kind of love is based on the system's demands? Not real love at all. She is now fully dedicated to helping his cause, instead of deceiving him and that is how the relationship develops. Imagine if you were Mu Sheng and you found out all her moves were to leave the novel and not sincere.

I think the lit candle with the 2 bright shapes underneath right after he said "you are Miao Miao" and she grabs his hand, replaces a kiss and possibly more. It short-circuited the system because Ziqi doesn't want her to leave. I'll be happy whether he goes to the normal world with her, or she stays with him in the novel.

I started all 3 but this is the best one, stopped the other two. Eagerly waiting for the episodes here. Fell in love with Ding Yuxi or is it Ziqi - so handsome and cute, and Esther is so beautiful!

She heroically died after getting her revenge and knowing her living loved ones were safe. She learned not to delay or avoid the inevitable, that 3 guys she helped, would spend their lives trying to save her while she was in pain. It was her finally letting go to find peace.

A man or woman should be allowed to decide to provide and protect their families. Not everyone should be mandatory drafted to fight for a cause - it's our right to our vocation.
