Luo Yunxi has been doing quite a few interviews, and he's been gushing about Whispers of Fate in every one of…
Thank you for the links! It's lovely to see Luo Yunxi expound on his thought process of how he immerses himself in a character and forgets to be Luo Yunxi, and the mountains he has to overcome to become a character. And as always, he is mature and gentle to the point that his humble authenticity is so heart-warming.
Aha, the cat outlives Gui Mudan who forgets to give it a name, so Tang Lici adopts our feisty feline and appreciates the Jianghu and life and friends after surviving the final battle! Here's to second chances! I would like this ending.
Ahaha. I can feel all the frustrations coming from you~ These kinds of dramas are trying to make us stronger in…
No wonder I was sneezing so much this late afternoon!
At this point, I believe you are reincarnated Xue Xianzi and Mizuhira-san is Shui Duopo XD And I'm not Tang Lici, thankfully XD Probably reincarnated Xiao Xuefu
Actually, I don't think this drama has a female lead per se. If we talk love interest, out of all three main female…
I believe the characters have to do one-on-one evaluations, otherwise the psychiatrist won't survive a session with Gui Mudan and Liu Yan together when the two characters disagree. That cat and you have to be present.

The production team has a hard time trying to balance everything while incorporating fan service, and I think they have mostly done a good job! That's why there are shipping wars over Tang Lici, which adds to the visibility of the drama. The MDL cast was originally listed correctly as Tang Lici being the only lead, but I think there's been some back-and-forth editing by different people which is why it can be confusing to new viewers who come to WoF through MDL. That is what has me puzzled.
Fang Zhou is number 1, Liu Yan is number 2 (this matches the novel and I'm viewing from a platonic perspective of who Tang Lici prioritises), and as to Chi Yun- Chi Yun's attitude for the drama is more cheeky and charming than novel-Chi Yun, which I enjoy. His entrance and presence in the first six episodes happily made me feel like a kid enjoying his antics. I wish there was time for a bit of a backstory with Tang Lici, but I don't think that will happen. That said, I believe Tang Lici will show how dear Chi Yun is to him after episode 33. I'm one of those who likes a romance between mature people or a Mysterious- Lotus-Casebook-type of brotherhood, and everyone has different preferences other than those.
The drama cuts out what can be considered as a lot of draggy irrelevant extras from the novel and makes it easier to digest (which is still a lot to digest for viewers in the first two episodes). When I evaluate details, romance is not the first or second context that I use as a filter. That's how my guesses are at least 80% correct about details in crime-thrillers such as Mobius.
I also like how Xifang Tao and Puzhu have a bond, and they are interesting characters. It would be great to get Gui Mudan and Zhong Chunji and Liu Yan on a couch for a psychiatric evaluation and find out what makes them tick. I like to get into mindsets. I am first and foremost, about the individual and how they view emotions or relationships. Xue Xianzi and Shui Duopo are making some of us crack up over their friendship as a non-couple who should be a couple. Not all discussions take place on this page. And of course, the themes! There's so much richness of heritage and beauty and CGI that it's a feast for the senses. I enjoyed the Sichuan opera elements.
Overall, despite what I consider to be pacing issues within the first twenty-one episodes, this is a very enjoyable story of high fantasy where wuxia pushed to its limits melds with xuanhuan elements.
No wonder LY is crazy and lying to himself. He can't admit he caused his Shixiong's death, likely manipulated…
Whoops, only just saw this comment. Will refrain from mentioning novel spoilers to you (although if it helps, this drama is very different from the novel in many aspects, but retains certain similarities)
Drama-Zhong Chunji is an interesting character for an actress to take here, because there's a lot of micro-emoting required. I wonder how similar ZCJ will be in the end, with the novel. Her role in the drama is greatly expanded.
Chi Yun will not escape his fate, even if the end is different.
I hate romance, recently Guardians of the Dafeng was the first cdrama I watched in years with a female lead who…
The fanservice is artfully done so different shippers can see what they want in the background that also requires some imagination, but 30 episodes in, Fang Zhou is always Tang Lici's most important person in how Tang Lici makes decisions.
There's nothing wrong with no romance in dramas. "Immortal Ascension" and "Mysterious Lotus Casebook" isn't about romance, neither is the first season of recently-finished-releasing "Time Raiders" from DmBJ. If you like the FL in GotD, ask yourself what kind of FL you'd want to see if there is romance, and then describe based on that. And some of us can give suggestions :)

Drama-Shen Langhun has a future as a therapist for warriors of the pugilistic world, assuming he survives in his goal to do away with Liu Yan. In the novel Shen Langhun leaves Tang Lici after an epiphany, and Liu Yan doesn't die by his hands.

Gui Mudan doesn't want Liu Yan to give Tang Lici his half of the Tome of Samsara (the Rebirth Scroll). After all, Tang Lici is soon to be a guest of Gui Mudan. And Chi Yun might unfortunately pay the price for that, since he always does his best to save Tang Lici.

There is only one lead role, and that is Luo Yunxi. Don't know why the MDL cast has been wrongly edited to have other roles listed as main roles.
Tang Lici can smile for anybody or be serious with anybody. 30 episodes in, there is only one person Tang Lici sheds tears for, and the true significance of his carvings to him becomes more evident to viewers in episode 30. Fang Zhou is the most important person to Tang Lici in the novel, and this far the drama stays true to this aspect of the novel.

The cat that Gui Mudan is treating with affection better have a happy ending.
Chi Yun will not escape his fate, even if the end is different.
And perhaps Saint Saiya, if having an urge for anime.
