I heard about the director of The Untamed giving detailed direction but never see it myself. Other than The Untamed, I think another Xiao Zhan big drama (or tauted as big by his fans) is Douluo Continent. However that drama is rather controversial because it gets much hate from original fans (including me unfortunately). Not to mention, I don't think Xiao Zhan acting in there is that outstanding. It is only okayish. He still have unaired drama with Yang Zhi, Oath of Love. Perhaps that will be better.

Yeah, I am agree that the lead of WoH is more mature in regards of acting since they have more experience. I enjoy the acting skill of casts in the WoH as a whole. The chemistry between the lead comes out as normal and casual without fakeness.

These days my tolerance toward inexperienced actor getting lead character just because of their traffic is getting less and less. I am no longer in my teen age when my mind practically only seeking for eye candy. Those stiff acting is so hurtful for my eyes. It is no longer matter how handsome you are but if your acting is so bad ......

The problem with Xiao Zhan popularity is that he lacks portofolio under his belt. He needs more drama to cement his position in the industry. Relying on his rabid fans is not safe because I bet majority of them are teenager and young woman. Once they phased out certain age, they will no longer has this kind of crazy passion in stanning him.

These days, actor/actress is not getting popular because of their acting skill but because of their face and their horde of crazy fans. They are not confident with their acting skill, thus the fan service ..... Not to mention the producer nowdays just can never get a good script written.

Well, I have never ship real life couple in my life, so I can never relate with this craziness. But still, their action is unpardonable in my book. If people think forcing gay to become straight is bad then the vice versa also hold true. I just dislike people double standard according to their selfish desire.

As I see it, the time of both Xiao Zhan and Wang Yi Bo in the top of that chart is already numbered. From 2019, we can say there is no BL drama adaptation that can match The Untamed popularity. Now we have WoH. And this year, we will get lots of popular BL novel adapted into drama. Yeah, it will be interesting to see who will be the no.1 in the end of 2021. May the best actor win

I get your point. But this crying about getting spoiled start to annoy me a bit. Because this kind of forum discussion is spoiler heaven for those who are late watcher in a way. It is just inevitable. It is like you know cannot eat candy but still enter candy store. Comment about the ending in current time without spoiler tag, that is bad. But comment about episode 10 for the example, should be done freely by this time.

Currently, lot of us who have finish watching the raw is still holding ourselves to discuss too deeply about the drama in its entirety. But by the time this drama finish airing at youtube, all spoiler will out in the open. Because the drama has already ended. The assumption would be everyone is by then ready to discuss about everything.

I can understand the need of those who are late watchers coming here to share their opinion. But they cannot force those who are watching this in airing date to hold themselves back. Because if it is so, then everything will be spoiler forever. A back and forth discussion is not comfortable to be done under spoiler tag.

Honestly, I am just confused by this kind of request. I am always come with full knowledge that I will be spoiled everytime I come to a forum discussion of a finish airing drama or ongoing one. In my opinion everyone must be responsible for themselves and not expecting the other to cater to their need. Moreover, those late watcher comment will in the future become spoiler for those who are more late. So, I think your request is quite impossible.

Oh? As far as I know, number one is now Gong Jun in popularity chart list (I forgot the name of the chart list). Xiao Zhan is currently no.2 with Wang Yi Bo no.3 and Zhang Zhe Han no.4.

Perhaps she needs to update her information. I cannot say anything about Xiao Zhan current situation since I don't live in China. But that scandal for certain has tarnished his image in front of passer-by based on comments I read in bilibili. Yes, he is still popular. But popularity is a very flimsy thing and can gone overnight. This year, we will get a big influx of BL drama adaptation. Just after WoH, he has been dethroned. What will happen in the end of this year?

I really hope we as fans can be humble and not be too obnoxious in fanning our favorite. Because no one can stay number one forever.

I hate it when those crazy fandom always looking for clue of proof that the lead actors of BL drama adaptation are gay for each other in real life. I mean, what the hell???!!!!! And yes, those creepy question in interviews .........

Anyway, I can never get those crazy girls (because I take majority if not all real BL CP fandom is female) logic. Do they want all male in this world to be gay? Then there would be no one married them then. Nowdays, the world is quite abuzz with gay right. Well, straight also has their right. As I have said, respect goes both ways. You respecting gay does not mean you have to hate straight man and vice versa.

Just let the actor kept their sexual preference private and enjoy their CP in the drama.

This is a bit difficult to do. Honestly I am confused by this kind of request. It is understandable to hide under spoiler if I want to talk about raw episode that has not yet aired in sub version. But to ask from episode 1 is too much. In every forum discussion (not only MDL), I always take that all episodes that have been aired in sub version is fair game. Your request literally asking us to not discuss about anything in the open. Until when? Because there will be always an influx of new viewers who are late.

I can understand that shippers narrative but I think they assume too much. The probability of a man or woman being homosexual is pretty small. By their logic, all those actors playing in BL adaptation is secretly gay. I hate this kind of assumption. I think we should respecting each other. Respect goes both ways. If you insisted that nothing wrong of being homosexual, then it is also NOTHING WRONG of being heterosexual. It is not our business to care about anybody sexual preference.

I see. I am pretty much fine with shipping of drama character. But I am always feel uncomfortable with real life shipping. Because actor and character are separate entity. And there are immature fans who bind actor to certain characters which are very detrimental to the actor future career.

Regarding The Untamed, I am not following the news so I am not privy of that. Well, that is just crazy ...... And honestly by what I have watching back then when the drama was airing (and that was not much), the interaction between Xiao Zhan and Wang Yi Bo was quite normal. Nothing really stand up in my opinion. I am not insinuating anything here. Just saying that people just hallucinated themselves too much sometimes.

Thankfully, there are lots of good BL novel in China for them to choose from. I don't understand why we should have a ML and FL??? Cannot we have like two FL or two ML?? Granted, there is such a scarce of good novel about friendship between women which sadden me. As if we cannot have a soulmate relationship with another woman. Woman should not be caged in romantic relationship only.

You are correct. But before that scandal happened, the solo and CP fandom already in fight with each other as far as I know. What kind of fighting, I don't know. I heard that people were angry that they brought internal fighting to "outside".

Hahahahahaha!!! Romance truly is overrated in drama. Why we cannot have a drama with nice friendship and soulmate? These days, I am getting fed up with all those romance genre because they are almost always have annoying FL (damsel in distress, entitled, stupid, etc .....). Is it too much to have a FL like Mu Ni Huang in Nirvana in Fire 1 or the kind like Gu Xiang in WoH (I love that character!!)???

Perhaps because both of them is around 30 years old already and have spent long time in the industry, so they are wiser regarding fans. Good for them. I hope what happened with The Untamed CP fandom never replicate itself in other pairing ever again.

I really hope that this kind of toxic culture of real life CP can died out in China in the wake of Xiao Zhan scandal back then. There is nothing good happens out of it. And I don't want this kind of thing make the actors that will play in BL drama adaptation in the future getting uncomfortable with their partner in the drama.

Honestly, I don't really like this part of culture that transfer the CP inside the drama into real life. I admit that BL CP is far more crazier though. I hate it when a friendship between two guys always annotated as them being gay. If they are, then it is their business. But if they are not, what the fandom does will only make both guys uncomfortable and make them distance themselves from each other. If even man and woman can be very uncomfortable with this real life CP fandom, I can only imagine for those BL actors if they are straight.

This is a weird time that we are currently live. Different gender cannot be casual friend without being taunted as romantic couple. And same gender cannot be close friend without being suspected as gay or lesbian. Does every love must be considered as romantic?

I am sorry if I am sounded annoying here. But, this kept happening with BL drama adaptation that I have watched. All I see is a casual and close interaction between friends but there are always people who hallucinate about love and secret gesture and so on. This is just crazy.

I am surprised by this kind of comment from you. Please be noted, that what you are currently doing is exactly the same as those annoying The Untamed fans have been doing in all over BL drama adaptation. And they have risen the ire from lots of people that are fans of other BL drama adaptation. You are practically bringing down Word of Honor in order to raise Killer and Healer. It is not that people here cannot respect different opinion, but your way of degrading Word of Honor will rub the people wrong. I think this page is quite good already in respecting each other (believe me I know, since I am very fresh from Douluo Continent fight between drama/actor fans vs original fans).

Yeah, I also don't think he is fit to be Wen Ke Xing. But his scorpion king is very good. Enjoy his acting very much. I am glad he can find the role that better suit him in this drama. I am a believer that gold will always shine. No matter how small your role in a drama, as long as you put your effort and heart into it, people will be able to see. I am certainly will take note of him in the future.

I think of trying this. But, from the clips that I have watched, the way the two male lead interacted is not my taste. Is it really good story wise?
