Yessss that's one of the things I would've changed! It should've been done throughout the drama. Also I lowkey would've felt it to be even more epic if we got Zuo Ye appearing as Ming Xian throughout too (to show us that no matter which gender the ML will always love the FL lol). I enjoyed this drama tho I rated it below a 9. I really loved how the leads grew in their relationship. It was beautiful to me. A rating below a 9, specifically in the 8-8.5 range, doesn't mean it's bad at all. I consider those scores still pretty good. They're for dramas I enjoyed for the most part. The reason I don't rate it a 9 is because of some changes I would've made to the script that would suit to my taste and would've felt more epic to me BUT the story is still amazing in its own way! I'm not sure why you think everyone should rate it a 9 at least. People have their own criteria in rating anyway. As someone who rated it 8.0, I still consider it a great drama :)

Finally got around to watching two eps hehe! Ans after watching three dramas with Chengyi this year since September, I gotta say, third time's the charm. It's so nice to see Chengyi and Tong Mengshi again! In all three dramas they shared a close relation in some way but this one seems to be IT! 🤞
