needs the melodrama tag, this is way too dramatic, noone actually doing anything to improve their situation, everyone…
?? Yeah no. She is improving her situation by actively seeking help for her odd symptoms, accepting her diagnosis, taking her meds and changing her lifestyle.
He is improving his situation by getting better lawyers, paying off all the debts he can, searching for the anesthesiologist and researching the medical cases that can help him.
They are both helping each other by giving each other a safe space to feel and express their feelings while they are going through very large and overwhelming life crisis.
The drama focuses on that last bit and still finds time time to show the other stuff. Neither of them have a problem you can just force a fix on.
I do understand if you dont like watching them expressing their emotions. May not be the perspective you like in dramas. So this might not be the drama for you. Totally okay.
However, they are not wallowing without doing anything to improve their individual situations.
Don't tell me she couldn't make it to snu becuz she let it go becuz of him by any chance? (Not hoping this plot)
I dont think she’d deliberately fail. But she might have had it in her head and it messed her up. Also this may be a red herring. They may want us to suspect that and it’ll turn out very different.
His hyung. Min Kyung Min. Former tutor. Works at FL’s old hospital. Has “helped” ML with his case since episode 1. Gave the crappy incomplete history of FL to her potential new job. Normally wears glasses. Unclear if he’s actually a bad guy or a red herring.
If they do, it will likely be a drunk kiss and feel highly unsatisfying. Also the earlier they kiss and get into a relationship the more likely a break up trope becomes.
Using humour to tackle serious issues, can be powerful, but so far it's seemed that the more serous issues are…
I hate that trope too. What has impressed me so far is our FL went to a clinic when she realized something was wrong and once diagnosed she is taking her meds and changing her lifestyle to improve her mental health. None of that required or involved the ML.
At this point his presence is shown to merely be comforting because the rest of her support system is too self involved to hear her (her bestie) or too worried and scared to know how to support her. (Her family) So to me it looks like her recovery isnt tied to him at all and would happen without his existence. It just would happen differently.
As for the ML, the stress and anxiety he’s feeling will only be relieved once he passes this life hurdle. But again, her companionship comforts and now her medical knowledge seems to be helping him practically.
Its early days but so far I dont really see the romantic love fixes all mental health issues trope. Even if this is a simple romantic comedy, its characters approach these issues better than other more serious dramas Ive seen.
I have a suggestion for all commenters.I ask people to consider not using the Hide Spoiler option. It's makes…
I get it can be confusing, but I like it when people put that. It gives the reader a choice. And it only takes a click to see. If a discussion is wanted their is the option of creating a discussion thread. Alot of people skim comments just to see how the drama made others feel. They arent looking for plot details.
Can someone spoil me & tell me how Romance of Tiger & Rose ended? How did they resolve her being from the real…
Tiger and Rose predates some of the stricter guidelines on ending. And we met his real world counterpart at the beginning. Basically they both woke up from a long dream with memories of their love in the other world. It didnt show much after that.
Isn't this the same premise as The Romance of Tiger and Rose??
Writer entering her own novel? Its a very common trope in web novels, tv shows and comics. This show is very different from the romance of the tiger and rose in all other respects.
So many people seem to be a fan of the Eun Ho and Hee Yeon pairing. I haven't read the webtoon but the idea sound…
Webtoony spoiler:
Their romance was one of the last arcs of the main story in the webtoon. So I think we may still have a few more episodes before she realizes her feelings. And he takes even longer.
I’ll answer your question at the bottom of your comment, you’re not serious. No sane person would gaslight…
That would be a good story. Ive read attempts at it. But nothing where they redeem both the ex and the bestie/sister.
I do think even the best version of this ex husband would be a single rich dude who lives life as an irresponsible player. His whole thing with his friend where they tried to pick up chicks shows how basic he is. No idea how youd get him to have any positive goals.
The bestie would be interesting. Her actual backstory (not revealed yet in drama) if it follows webtoon raises this question of if she could learn to overcome her childhood to see the world differently and be self sufficient, could she be a better version of herself? Its hard to say because her behaviors are almost more pathological than the ex husband but she does have this deep seated insecurity that could be treated…hats off to the writer who could make someone sympathize with and believe the evil bestie’s redemption.
Totally entitled to your opinion and I support you dropping something you dont like. I do want to point out in…
You think the two narcissists sincerely love each other?
Also in this drama fate is set. Whoever becomes his wife will suffer like the female lead did. Or worse.
He’s assaulted her multiple times after the time travel. Or do you consider slamming a person against a wall not assault? Grabbing a person aggressively by the arm and leering over them to intimidate with your size not assault? If so, we definitely wont agree on this. I think he’s abusive and scary and so is her bestie. They will abuse each other.
I shall just leave you with this: with the right lever you can move the world. The flip was cool and possible.
On ep 10 and DROPPED.I understand her bf is a huge asshole, but the way hes getting all the blame and her so called…
Totally entitled to your opinion and I support you dropping something you dont like.
I do want to point out in case you missed it: she came up with her plan in episode 1 after figuring out fate is set but can be shifted to another person. The ML didnt figure that out. She’s been creating scenarios for her evil bestie and ex to end up married so the evil bestie gains her fate. Thats not doing nothing to the evil bestie.
Also if you need another example of her being smart consider what she did in episode 6. She made sure that awful director was more famous than he was in the first life. Than she called that terrible director right before he did his plane freak out so he’d have her on the brain and vocalize his denial of stealing her work out loud. Which in the context of his freak out guaranteed the entire nation who watched the recordings would know he stole her work. The company couldnt ignore or hush it up.
While the ML has tried to do things for her, she’s rejected most of the material assistance (he surprised her with the engagement bit) he’s offered in favor of emotional support. Which is not weak or stupid. Everyone needs positive and supportive relationships. Especially an abuse survivor rebuilding her self-esteem and agency.
Now I know its petty that she flipped and smacked the ML. I was all for it given how many times he had physically assaulted her and because during both those scenes he was in the act of assaulting her.
Someone help me out here, so Im at episode 5 and the manager is constantly pissing me off. Hes stealing her work,…
He does get his. Part of the problem is their hierarchal company culture means people arent reporting when their work is stolen. Plus he has backing from a family member higher up. So FL’s first life she went along to get along. However, this life she isnt. Episode 6 is the start of his comeuppance and you kind of get the final bits of it in episode 10.
So will she still end up dying of cancer? She only went back in time, so will it eventually catch up to her?
In episode one she immediately got checked out at a hospital and committed herself to taking good care of herself going forward. Even if it does come back she’ll catch it way before the stage 4 cancer she previously had.

It may pop up later. Hopefully not.
