She had already invested seven years into him and while she didnt appreciate the thoughtlessness she did appreciate the idea she’d have a family again. Just like she ignored the red flags around how her evil bestie behaved, she did the same for her husband. She didnt think to say no because she wanted to marry him. She was just annoyed by how he did it. Now she is learning to expect more and hold people to that.

She already started to have feelings now. That whole thing where she misunderstood he was dating his sister and she laughed at herself for almost liking him. She kind of directed herself away from those feelings but its clear her trust and liking of him are growing stronger from how they interact. Her priority right now is getting her situation resolved. So its smart she’s not thinking about dating anyone.

Does she? I always feel like her internal thoughts are appropriate for the scene and help describe her motivations: be happy and ditch her crappy fate on to her crappy bestie.

Im kind of glad the moving across from him hasnt happened like the webtoon. That was a total red flag behavior that he manipulated that series of events. She didnt know she was moving across from him and he tricked her into it using his sister. Now that she’s been to his place, if she moves in across from him its a choice rather than a manipulation.

She felt bad because this is her best friend. She has a few months of distrusting and resenting her vs almost 30 years of habitual codependent toxic friendship. Plus plenty of people who want revenge feel guilty when they hurt others and even the target. Its not actually a clean uncomplicated motivation for most.

What nolatoo said, plus she wants to be sure he marries her evil bestie. She thought when they slept together he’d end it with her and choose her evil bestie. Now she had to recalibrate since hes a total scum.

Because Jihyuk helped him do the proposal so Jiwon wouldnt have to experience a sucky one again.

I think that was set up as a way to get the evil ex to marry her. If the evil bestie has money, he’ll be more into her.

That would be a big change from the comic

They’ve changed his character setting a bit but yes she does. Hope they dont ruin it cause they were a cute couple.

Thats my theory! It never made sense that the evil ex died when he didnt the first time around. If he takes on the ML’s car accident that would be perfect.

She’s just like Jiwon. She see’s the surface cuteness and appreciates the warmth of Sumin attention. She hasnt dealt with her scheming side at all. Its not actually obvious to anyone. Only person who caught on to it without a past life experience is Heeyeon. We the viewers see more of her different faces than they the characters do.

Ms Yang is basically like Jiwon was in her past life. Crappy husband. Crappy work (mostly cause of the boss.) Little self-esteem. Except for having a kid she’s just like Jiwon. Right down to the secret admirer who is waiting for her to wake up and take control of her life back.

No she’s trying to pass her whole fate to her evil bestie by marrying her off to the evil ex. That and keeping herself healthy are her plan to avoid death. ML doesnt have anyone he’d be okay inflicting his fate on.

Was it? It all seemed to depend on just getting evil bestie to marry the guy. He took care of the rest. FL is still working towards that goal.

The writing may not be for you. The first episode gave two valid examples of how fate in this show works. I thought it was well done. You dont appear to like the concept so you reject it. That is totally cool as your choice. But it doesnt actually mean the writing is bad. I think its still too soon to say if the writing is good or not. Ive found the dialogue and pacing engaging. But it might not live up to its promise.
