To be honest this show isn't very good...? It has many elements to make it a great show but somehow they aren't…
Actually people like the second leads exist. Ive met four different men who behave exactly as the evil ex. I also met a woman who treated her daughter the way the evil bestie treats Jiwon. Just like Jiwon the girl had been gaslit by her mom since she was little. She didnt even realize it was a problem till she moved out and that was a struggle in itself. Gaslighting is a real thing and its hard to spot when you are the one inside. You are very lucky these behaviors dont seem realistic to you. People like this exist.
I see JiHyuk stepping back from his original plan after JiWon revealed about the fate logic. JiWon has SuMin to…
Soooo, if you are okay with webtoon spoilers here are my theories:
In the webtoon the ML commited suicide before he time traveled. Later when FL is about to be hit by a car he protected her and ended up in a coma. FL assumed that was him taking on her accidental death fate. Last deus ex machina from dad was telling her ML wouldnt die because he’s her allowance. So dad saved him.
However two weird events that kind of broke the “fate is set” rule happened: the evil ex hubby died in a car accident and his mom (FL evil mother-in-law) died. Niether of them died before FL before so you kind of had to assume they were meeting their fates earlier. But no explanation was really given.
My theory is the drama is fixing these plot holes by having ML’s fate of dying in a car accident transfered to the evil ex husband and the FL’s fate of dying due to malicious practices of family go to the evil ex’s mom.
I also think we’ll still get a possible coma letter scene with the ML. In the webtoon thats how she found out he was a time traveler too. Here it would be a great way for him to reveal his assumption he’s set to die in ten years .
Of course I could be wrong on all of that. Just theories.
Also JiWonaa, the first thing one learns at work is how to protect the data. To do so, one must lock their screen,…
Meh, if I had a nickel for every time someone forgets that step because they are in a hurry Id have a Guinness world record sized jar of nickels. Did he promise not to let her go or did he promise to protect her or both? I thought he just said the second one.
Does ML and FL get married in between the story or at the very end?
It was kind of a disappointing thing for me in the webtoon when they did marry. Spoilers:
She didnt ever want to marry and he supported her in that. They were together for life anyway. But than they pulled the whole she became braver through his love thing. Which is a nice concept but didnt have enough buildup. It was like “I love you and we arent getting married” than you are at their wedding. Best part was the epilogues about their kids. That was cool.

Im kind of torn. Id love her to be into him now but it still feels too soon from just the perspective of her journey. I want the baddies to be together first unless they draw that out to the last episode. I hope they dont. The webtoon gave us lots of glimpses of their hellhole of a marriage.
Maybe, like Ji Woon, Ji Hyuk can try to change his fate too? He looks resigned to die another time... Don't give…
I think that is what they are going for. And I bet we will still get a scene everyone is missing from the comic about how he revealed himself the first time. Only this time it’ll be revealing what he thinks is his inevitable death.
I don't mind some of the changes they made in the drama since there are some plot in the webtoon a bit controversial.…
It was more emotionally wrenching in the webtoon. I still like this version because it addresses the inherent power imbalance, dishonesty in omitting the truth and semi stalker vibes (which I thought he gave off in the webtoon too) before they start their relationship.
Just wow, apparently you didnt read the webtoon 🤷♀️1. No, the villians are not fat and tanned - only…
I read the translated english version and it did kind of have a prejudiced tone. The original before the author fixed it was worse. It made it seem like all muslims were extremists like the taliban. Thats islamophobia. Apparently the authored fixed it and the company that hosted their novel apologized, but the author didnt. That may have been because they were prejudiced, embarrassed or told not to as part of the PR management over their mistake. And while the real event they were basing if off of was ripped from the headlines and actually happened, the comments used in the original really problematic version of the story did not distinguish the difference between extremists and other islamic people. Thats where the phobia part comes in. Its like implying all white men in the US south are part of the KKK because of features that have nothing to do with that choice: their gender, their faith, where they live, color of their skin etc.
can someone tell me how this compares to the webtoon? i know the webtoon has islamophobic messages and almost…
Edit: leaving my original comment about the fat, ugly tanned villains but I googled and found what you were talking about for islamophobia. I read the english translation after it had been fixed by author. So it was not as prejudicial but kind of still was. The halal instant food/ extremist kidnapping arc has not occured yet in the drama. Not sure it will. At the point we are at in the story the SFL whose idea it was in the webtoon to make the halal instant food line had already brought it up. Hasnt happened yet in drama. They have done a different arc where the FL’s taken advantage of a bosses inevitable bad behavior that was public and newsworthy. So I think creators may have replaced that arc with this new arc in terms of her using newsworthy events to change things.
Not all the villains are fat, ugly or tanned. The two main villains are her best friend and ex. Both are conventionally attractive. The ML in the webcomic was very pale but in the drama he’s naturally tanner.
the way every one is saying they cant take min hwan seriousely cause of welcome to waikiki meanwhile here i am…
He’s just that good an actor. Especially at becoming the character. When he plays someone silly, he’s charismatic enough to invite you into the silliness. When he plays a possessive narcissist abuser who is as obsessed with appearances as this character, he’s scary. Either way he’s iconic and the first role you see him in is how you’ll see him until his new role overwrites the first one.
Would you say it's a makjang? The acting, editing, even the music, the way the characters look - it all makes…
A little bit especially when it comes to evil ex and besties story elements. However, the FLs main storylines are often healing: for herself or someone else she knows.
Sorry but they seriously butchered Ms Yang's character. I was looking forward to her as she was rather cool and…
Im giving it time. I strongly think her behavior is part of her deal with Jiwon. But even if its genuine it just proves she’s living the same kind of life Jiwon did the first time around. I imagine it’ll follow the webcomic timeline: as the evil bestie and ex hook up and get married the story will show Jiwon focusing more on the drama of Joo Ran’s situation and the FL’s concerns about the other aspects of her fate being transferred to others. And we’ll get the check in on the hell bestie and ex are living :-p
Im really sorry that is your experience. Its a sucky feeling when you are disappointed by a drama adaptation of…
You may be right. I was basing that off my observation from comments that people who read the webtoon either give glowing reviews or really dont enjoy this adaptation. Non-webtoon reader comments seem to fall into more of the mid range. But thats just what Ive observed from the comments Ive read. There may be more middle of the road webtoon enthusiasts that Ive missed.
I think it was a subconscious action taken to shield her person. Like she didnt think, she just moved.
I dont disagree with this point. Still to give a slight benefit of the doubt its only been 200 years that he’s had powers, her movement influenced his own reactions and how often has he been shot at? SK has fairly strict gun laws.
Just finished 13/20 episodes. At first I wasn't expecting much, especially referring to the romantic part of the…
They both have a great catalog of quirky great dramas. If you can find them: “suspicious partner” is another great one for him and “whats wrong with secretary kim” is a comedy gold for her.
