Agreed. Towards the middle of episode 13, he became interesting and then afterwards I stopped being annoyed by him.

The most ridiculous part is that she believes it herself, knowing full well it's not true. Insanity is really the right word. I laughed so hard when her cousin said that her husband died because he couldn't bear the weight of her Empress fate.

How is Wei Shao's mother that stupid? I'm assuming she's educated, since she's a noble lady. She has spent years navigating complex family dynamics and managing the household. Beyond mere stupidity, she's also childish, petty, entitled and always acts like some kind of victim. Such a difficult person to be around.

She paints it on? At least get a tattoo if you're that dedicated

Must have started when she was pretty young then, since most people are unaware. I was already imagining her family had tattooed the thing on her forehead when she was a kid to fool people into thinking she's someone important.

Is that huadian mark on Su E Huang's forehead a marketing scheme? Or are we supposed to believe she was born with it?

I'm halfway episode 13 and I will admit, I am getting more interested in his character.

Out of all the annoying characters so far the most annoying one is definitely Wei Yan.

So far there are some cute jealousy scenes from both of them. At least that's how it looked to me.

He keeps saying not to try to seduce him with her beauty, but he was clearly already affected the first time he saw her. The fact the he needs to repeat it so many times only shows how well it's working without her even trying. He's in trouble when she actually starts trying.

When did the leads got together?
At the end of episode 26.

Any breakup? How long?
There's basically a breakup in episode 33 which lasts until the end of episode 35.

Any love triangle? Annoying?
No real love triangle. As I mentioned in my comment, while she's kind, she's detached and people see him as scary. While Qian Lin does fall for Ji Tan Yin, he never really expresses or is annoying about it.

Happy Ending? More like a hopeful, open ending.

I spoke too soon. The ending of episode 7 made me tear up.
