I was looking forward to watching this drama and for the most part I really enjoyed it.
It's visually stunning, the acting is good, the costumes are gorgeous and the story is interesting.
Admittedly, after the initial goal is achieved around episode 23, the story became less compelling.
Overall, the biggest problem is character inconsistency. Some of the characters kept making choices that were contrary to their established personalities. Little things wouldn't have mattered, but these choices had a great influence and didn't make sense.
Hey hey Moonies! Time for our 2nd anniversary rewatch!😄Tune in to Episode 36 and brace yourselves🥺
GYJW's jealousy and grief are pushing him towards a dark path. Also, what facts is he talking about? The fact that QXZ was stabbed with DG's sword? Where's the proof CJM even has the sword? Didn't they take away the only demon artefact he had last time? He has been under surveillance ever since, so he could not have acquired the sword afterwards. No one saw CJM stab QXZ, so the only thing they have, is the word of the only other person who was there, which is DM. What do they even know about DM? They know he joined ADG all those years ago and although he is pretending that he joined as a spy, where's the proof? If the immortal sects are so quick to condemn, DM should be the first one they condemn.
I don't want to watch this next part...🥺🥺🥺 Daddy Qu........😭😭😭
And he goes on and on about how he wanted to be a good person for CH and LSS, but didn't have a choice. Really? No choice? He could have chosen to not betray CH and stay with her. He could have chosen to protect LSS instead of use her. But no. He chose himself and power time and again and is pretending like he had no choice in the matter. It seems like there was no choice to him, because selfish, disgusting and greedy scum like him always choose to do evil.
I am on Ep 24 and am unable to understand why FL lead is helping X Lin escape prison and I also do not understand…
I think that even though she made a logical distinction in her head between GYJW and XL, her heart never did. So she always associated XL with the senior brother that died right in front of her eyes. When TTJ rode out of the camp, she didn't know where he was going, so she instinctively went to try and save XL. It was impulsive and reckless, but it was on instinct and not some thought out plan.
It's the same thing as when he's caught and she helps him escape. To her he's a kind, benevolent and innocent person who doesn't deserve being locked up.
It's not a smart move by all means, but following her instincts and emotions is also the reason why she always saves TTJ.

All in all, I still enjoyed watching it.
TTJ finally gets to see that there are people willing to believe in him and trust him.
Of course he only ever needs LSS by his side to be happy and it doesn't matter where they are as long as they are together.
