One more person clearly not moving on

I never really considered Susu selfish. If anything, she's a very selfless person. She clearly loved him even though she probably didn't admit that to herself most of the time, but her mission was more important. If anything, the times that I was disappointed with her was when she was indulging in the life of Ye Xiwu and would ignore her mission to meddle in affairs that didn't really concern her, therefore prolonging and eventually almost failing her mission.

She might have had an actual puprose before the cuts were made. As it is, the only actual contribution she made was making a distinction between the Ancient Devil God and Tantai Jin. We already knew that distinction, but it was probably meant more for Tantai Jin's ears. To give him confidence in the fact that he's a different person who had light in his life and not only darkness.
