They changed it for TV censorship. In the novel there was never a one year mourning period. They were constantly…
You have to watch the whole scene. She is on top because he was carrying her and sits down with her on his lap. THEN he lies down telling her with his eyes "the ball is in your court" so to speak. That's why is looks like she is the dominant, but a few seconds later he flips them over. I don't know how old you are, but men do like it when the woman takes the lead. It adds spice to things.
I'm reading the novel and onto ch60 now. I think the story is a lot more logical in the novel AND it is really…
People saying he is too aggressive haven't read romances from late 90s/ early 2000s then. The way it is described is pretty tame. Eventually they both find their own rhythm in the bedroom. (but poor XQ was left sore more than once at the beggining). BTW, read chapter 90 and then come back to me ;)
If you are talking about Wei Shao, the answer is no. Both in the novel and in the series he rejects the idea of taking concubines. In the novel, at the end, he is even pressured but he refuses.
Just a quick post to say that judging by the reactions I kept seeing about Ep 32 remind me of that video meme I have seen in YouTube of Me and the ghost in my room π
Just finished it and all l know is may this kind of love kidnap me,the ml would definitely burn the world for…
This is the first time I see no redemption arc for the mother. In Fireworks of my heart I was mad FL was on speaking terms with mommy dearest at the end, and same in When the phone rings.
I read those parts of the novel. He is rough with her at the beginning because he is also inexperienced (he was…
No, actually no. They didn't consumate until after 1 year has passed. But they did the deed way before than in the drama for what I have seen (I haven't watched yet, I am waiting until it is almost done so I can binge watch). IF you are interested, chapter 40 is when they do it for the firt time. By chapter 74 they are more into it but poor girl is left exhausted.
Lmao π€£ we knew Wei Shao isnβt the most rational man when it comes to his wife ππ but honestly I wasnβt…
Him burning the house happens in the novel, BUT! He is mad because the concubine tells Wei Shao that Wei Yan pleasured himself in front of the painting...
Can somone who read the novel tell me how was WS ruthles to Manman because i saw comments he was so much ruthless…
I read those parts of the novel. He is rough with her at the beginning because he is also inexperienced (he was a virgin himself). Eventually they find their own rhythm.
Decided to give this drama a try. I am glad I did. No, is not perfect. It was funny, silly at times, and an overall feel-good type of story. I wish they could have given us snippets of the couples' married lives as the story focused on the next daughter, but meh. Can't have everything, can we? It was a no fuss, no muss type of story.
The timeline with HL was already changed though because HL had to make sang zhi 5 years younger instead of seven…
Well, a 7-year gap is not a big deal, when we see dramas with 10-year gaps or higher. In Love me, love my voice, she was 22 and he was 29, that's 7-year gap. The issue with HL is that she met him when she was a minor. Also, Chen Zhe Yuan didn't look older than 25 at the time of filming (he is 28 now).
Is not perfect but is not a complete disaster either.

When the Phone Rings is Kdrama
(but, keep in mind, there is redemption arc with the mom in both)
If you haven't, watch the sister story Hidden Love (with different actors)
Also, Chen Zhe Yuan didn't look older than 25 at the time of filming (he is 28 now).
