I am just done watching the first three episodes and it is one of those rare Chinese dramas where it is the female lead who is arrogant, rude & obnoxious (and so very very shreiky). So much so you start to look forward to her fiance leaving her at the altar. Smart man. I do like the reverse trope though, that it is the male lead who is a bit of a pushover & stupid for a change.
I do not know if you are still looking for Engsubs but someone just recently posted a link to it on dramacool. I am just starting to watch it now. https://dramacool.so/drama-detail/perfect-wedding
i just watched the drama and finished it...the ML already made it clear that he loves FL by ep 39 and even took…
lol. You say the male lead does NOT make it clear he loves the female lead UNTIL episode 39 in a 44 episode drama. That sounds like a looooong wait with a lot of filler
After watching episode 15 and 16 with subs I see why SQ doesn’t trust LW. She’s very sneaky and tries to act…
It is on Viki (and kissasian), but the subs for ep11-18 are not 100% done yet. They are only around only 95%+ done, but if you cannot wait untill they are 100% done, there they are
amaginon: Wow, I want to see what do Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese citizens reply to this comment. I have friends…
Really? Have you actually watch many dramas? Everytime there is eating portrayed it is portrayed as being done with the mouth open. (I love your "I have friends who are .." comment though. How very NAmerican of you lol)
Another quick comment. For me, the plot is not that great and perhaps acting is not like 'wow' but somehow, YQ…
I like Ireine. I think she is a fine actress. And personally, some of my favourite Chinese & Korean actresses seem to be short (Rosy Zhao, Bo-Young Park, Lu Zhao Hu). I would no more judge a person by their height than I would for having brown hair instead of black hair
I want to kick this Qin Shen (Aaron Deng) out of this drama.No.1 : His acting sucks as hell!!Also he's dragged…
I enjoy Ireine Song's dramas, and liking this, but the voice actress they have for her in this, just does not fit her imo. I do not really notice voice actors, beyong the usual offputting dubbing issues (and that one time I recognised Nikki Hsieh's voice on a side character in "Boss & Me") but she just does not really fir Ireine here. Maybe I am just used to her VA's in Ireine's other roles.
I like Ireine's dramas, but I really wish she ended up alone at the end of this one, or even with Alan. Neither the male lead or the 2ML is a good love interest for anyone. Both are selfish, self-centred manipulative people who do not really change.
I was gearing up for massive second lead syndrome, but he killed it when he turned out to be a huge liar. =_=…
Plus he deliberately used his & the female lead's friend in such a way that was only ever going to hurt her. That and his outburst/declaration that he is NOT Lin Lu's friend and has never wanted or seen her as a friend in the 16 years he has known her made him very icky.
This character trope is the one I despise the most in Asian Dramas. But they seem to be the most common character trope (usually as 2mls, but 2fls are not uncommon either). I refer to them as "Spiders" and they lurk around their disignated prey for years pretending to be friends, when friendship is not what they want. Constantly trying to wrap their prey in webs of deceit to prevent them from escaping. They are are a more common character trope than "Arrogant Cold CEOs" or "Nice, but Naive Girls"
FL is an idiot. Idk why the character is written to have no common sense. My thoughts were sealed on episode 18.…
You only whinge about Ireine's acting. I know it is normalised on this site to accept however bad a male actor's acting is and only badmouth the female actresses acting but come-one, Ireine acted rings around her male co-star here despite her acting flaws.
Ireine is often critised unfairly imo, she is not bad, just middle of the road; an actress of Jennifer Aniston calibre (an average actress). Jerry Yan on the other hand is an actor of Tommy Wiseau calibre (in fact I would say every actor called Jerry Yan is at this level) but you and others only seem to concentrate on commentating on the female's acting and not the male's
honestly i started i'm in episode 2 but i just don't know if it's worth finishing usually i'm not a quitter i…
I just do not think I can continue with it. I am on episode 2 and have been on it for nearly a month. I just find this a lot more sexist and disturbing than "Well-Intended Love". I just can not see how the female lead will ever have any agency with the male lead.
Her side-effects from the comet seem to be - chase after the male lead; desperately want & try to please him; even sign contracts with him that benefit him but disadvantage her. His side-effects seem to be - easily distracted by balls & paper. If she "falls in love" with the male lead, how is she ever going to be able to distinguish if she fell in love with him or if it's just the dogs emotions shaping her own.
After searching and searching for a worthy modern c drama, this was a breather. I rated it high because I didnt…
How does it turn it around so she is NOT disadvantaged in every interaction with him? She is forced to chase him, forced to want to please him, even sign contracts to please him to her own detriment, all because she has the dog's affection towards him. So how does she have any agency at all? Two episodes in and this feels worse and more sexist than "Well-Intended Love". So far the comet has made him easily distracted by balls & paper, but made her willing to do anything to please him, including harming herself.

But seriously it is a delightful movie (and the drama is even nicer).
