. I do like this drama but I can't stand the YQ to be a pushover. She never stands up for herself and puts everyone…
Your critiques are fair EXCEPT the eating one. If you have watched any Chinese/Korean/Taiwanese drama it should be obvious that chewing food with your mouth open is not considered rude in those cultures because I have never seen anyone in any drama from these nations actually chew with their mouth closed. Different cultures are different not wrong.
Thank god that in this one the "dark past" of the guy is not leading her into believing that she has leukemia…
I will take stalker crush over gaslighting someone to believe they have leukemia. Fuck, I will take stalker crush over the goto "seduction technique" in Thai Dramas.
I actually loved the romance & chemistry between the leads in the first one, but that "twist" is just hard to get past. So I am also glad this season exists without the twist
If you really want to know about the ending of season 1 read the spoiler below.
That is season 1. Season 1 has nothing to do with Season 2. The only things the seasons share is the name and the fact the story involves parallel worlds. Season 2 DOES have a happy ending.
Hello, why ? What's wrong with her? I didn't start to watch it yet
Eh? She is one of the best female lead characters to appear in a CDrama. It is extremely rare for a CDrama to have a female lead who is not stupid and/or a pushover and this female lead was neither. She was smart, sneaky, crafty, aware of when the male lead is interested in her pretty much straight away and even can correctly reason out why he does something that on the surface appears hurtful.
Both leads are so cute and funny and I really like the female lead, she's funny with her expressions.
I love that she is not a "dumb" female lead. She is sneaky and crafty, and figues things out fairly quickly (I loved how she reasoned out why the male lead fired her). And she is aware straight away when the male lead starts to be interested in her. Thank god for a CDrama with a female lead as smart as the male lead for a change.
Do u need to watch the first season to be able to understand the second season?
No. Not at all. It is it's own distinct story with it's own characters. I think it is even better than Season 1. The only things it shares with Season 1 is the name and the idea of parallel dimensions.
One of the very few Chinese dramas where the Female Lead is as smart as the male lead. It felt so refreshing that there was never any sexist condescension about her intelligence by the male lead.
It is it's own distinct story. Has nothing to do with the story in Night Comet 1. To be honest I am unsure why this is called Night Comet 2. But the story (and characters) here is fantastic.
The FL got so self-centered in later episodes. She always has something to get upset about. It got annoying pretty…
I would argue that she was self-centred from the very start. Everything was not her fault but the fault of everyone else. Even the universe was at fault for her incompetence rather than she was in her mind.
I actually loved the romance & chemistry between the leads in the first one, but that "twist" is just hard to get past. So I am also glad this season exists without the twist
