LOL, exactly. I humbly suggest you watch the finale though - in my mind it doesn't really redeem the story, but since you've come so far... You know, like one of those crushes we had in middle school when you would think you were madly in love with a cute guy and then the crush disappears from monday to tuesday because he had the wrong t-shirt on, or he said a wrong word or something. That's exactly what happened to me with QIHM. In the end I couldn't care less. That's the conclusion I came to: the drama was a crush, not love.
I see my post ended up on the right wall after all. ;)

I never wrote a review because there is one which is so identical to what I would have written myself, it's almost scary. It's also a lot better written than I could ever have done. It's Omnichelle's review. :)

When the initial excitement had gone, all the little imperfections of this drama, which I had been ready to condone, became evident and glaring: the acting was repetitive, the lines lost their wit and I was left with two pretty people with good chemistry (why not? They were dating in real life!) but a plot full of holes and illogical turns. Once again, time travel IS illogical, I'm well aware of it, but in the realm of fantasy, a plot has to respect the criteria which were set in the beginning by the plot itself! If you tell me I'm dealing with a troll, you can't suddenly tell me the troll is in fact Pinocchio.
So here it comes: highly overrated. And the ending is indeed one of the main reasons why this drama was so beloved. If in some years time you'll actually come to see it, you'll understand why. ;)

I wonder if I may pop in and take part in the very interesting conversation? ;) I have no idea where this post will be shown, if on Addy's page or Pretty's wall, so I may just make this whole a lot more confusing, haha. Forgive me in advance.
I am one of those who sponsored QIHM like crazy at the beginning. It was refreshing to see a heroine with true spirit, funny without being a klutz and clever enough to get things in motion when needed. The hero, with his sober and quiet pondering captivated me too, and their first kisses (instigated by her, hurrah!) made me squeal in delight like any other fangirl. But the freshness wilted soon, they decided to go down the usual K-drama path with lots of unnecessary angst and twist which were so unclear they resulted unbelievable even in a fantasy scenario. In short, I lost all interest. Just like that.

Don't fear, Twinny, not only I haven't got the time or the money for another holiday right now, but I have been supported by a few trusted friends and am ready to face all the harted that should come my way. ;)
Love! :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I suppose we were both trapped in the same fear. A much wiser friend told me she was so unaffected by the drama she didn't even give it the benefit of a review. Alas, I can't be this elegantly superior, I was just too pissed by what I consider a shower of undeserved praise.
Therefore, thank you for you message, my friend. I needed some support. ;)

I have a feeling both KDW and HB will concentrate on films, more than dramas. Kang Don Won's a truly descreet kind of person, isn't he? I'm not a huge fan of him (for no reason other than I don't know him well), but I loved everything I saw him in and I think he's a great actor (mighty good looking too), so I'm curious too.
A drama would be fantastic... longer time to stare and drool. ;)
I love how superior you are to dramas you didn't particularly love.:D As for me, I have this bad, bad habit of becoming annoyed when something I truly didn't like is showered with what I deem undeserved praise. I couldn't help myself, lol.
I also find it a lot more amusing to write desecrating reviews than appraisal ones. ;)

My plan at the moment is to jump to Japan and stay there for a while. ;) I may start rewatching something I loved, just to get back the feeling and then find some clever plot which will make me forget that torture called Nice Guy. Once again, I finished a drama only to write a review. If it weren't for my weakness for desecrating reviews, I'd have dropped the odious thing by episode 12 or something.
I confess now and then I resorted to recaps, so bored I was by the events on screen.
But enough with this!
I have half an idea to re-watch long love letters. Yosuke might not be the usual perfect eye-candy, but he's a fantastic actor who makes me feel strongly.

P.S. Today His Gorgeousness my Binnie is coming back. I'm very anxious as to what his next work will be. I hope he stays away from:
1. the hong sisters
2. saeguks
3. extreme melodrama
;)

Thank you, Mike! I fear I'll receive as much well spoken hate for it, lol.
For mysterious reasons, the drama had a huge success on MDL.
As a cure after the torture, I'm going to re-watch Pride for the... nth time and stay in Japan for a while. ;)

My dear,
after the review I wrote of Innocent Man, I suppose I'll have to leave again for a long holiday. :P

Oh no, no, I think I expressed myself wrongly. Forgive me.
Buzzer Beat IS a romantic story, and a very cute one. I just don't think it can be compared to Pride, which is more my type of romance, with heartbeat and an undeniable chemistry. However, Buzzer Beat has yummy Yamapi in it. *insert grin* Yes, I may be a little caustic in my reviews, but I never refuse an eye-candy myself. ;);)

My dear, dear Shika!
The painting is striking, I totally agree. I usually prefer later figurative art, with geometry, or lots of colours and just hinted figures, but this one has a light... truly, I wish I could express in words what that painting says to me.
Have you read the book by Tracy Chevalier "The Girl with the pearl earring"? If not, I recommend it to you. A slow novel, played on colours, light and dark, just like the painting itself. Beautiful.
And the little town... magic. It was very cold, so I don't mind a warm hug from the north, hehe. Let me hug you back with the same warmth which has nothing to do with the weather outside. :D

Thanks for the encouragement.:) Actually, while I think Buzzer Beat is a very entertaining show, I'd not in a million years compare it to Pride, neither for intensity, nor for acting or romance. It's a nice show and I'm sure you will enjoy it, but I am truly very curious to know if you share my opinion or if I am simply a little too difficult at times.
Please let me know! :D

I've always had a weakness for trains, I love the sound, the general atmosphere on trains, the incredible variety of people one meets on them and the places one would never see with any other vehicle (except maybe the bycycle, but I wouldn't want to cross continents with one, lol).
This said, one of my last experience with a night train in Malaysia was far from enchanting: we didn't sleep a wink as it must have been the loudest, most bumping train I ever travelled on and it rained and thundered the whole, never ending 14 hours. LOL
As I said, I should stop thinking Poirot and his 20th century luxury trains... ;)

I know the feeling! I'm not a student anymore, but you can easily imagine what impact the addiction can have on my job and my deadlines, lol.
I never noticed the resemblance between Vic's acting and Johnny Depps's, but now that you tell me I don't think I'll be able to ever see him again without thinking about it, hahaha. Double encouragement it is then! ;)

Thank you very much for appreciating my reviews.:D Please just be aware that my taste is often disputable. Queen InHyun's Man is one perfect example: I loved it in the beginning because I thought it was fresh and different and ended up liking it just so-so, because I truly thought it does not deserve the hype, it's not perfectly acted, nor is it consistent. It's a pretty thing with two pretty leads which have chemistry because they are a couple in real life. This said, I suppose I am a little difficult to please, and my opinion is always open to discussion. :)
Kimura Takuya is a gorgeous, fantastic actor! Did you try Brain? He's hilarious in there, but no romance, I'm afraid. ;)
My plan is to finish the incredibly boring Innocent Man and write the most desecrating review that ever came out of my pen... ehm, keyboard. LOL
I won't be loved for it. :P
How about you?

Wow, from Poland to Gibraltar is a truly long journey, but it must be fantastic!
One day, I truly wish to be able to do a very, very long train journey, something like the Orient Express, or the Trans Siberian line. Perhaps I should stop reading Agatha Christie. ;)

Thank you Addy! :D
Isn't it great to find back that rush and enthusiasm of the beginning? Now and then I forget it, mostly when I decide to watch an airing drama... in fact I think I'll stick with finished ones for a while - a long while. :D
I have had Black and White on my ptw list for immemorable time now, since the days of my addiction to everything Vic, lol. I should consider a trip down Taiwanese lane again too... ;)
Glad to hear you are enjoying your drama ride: it gave me the right push to start again! ;)

Hello my friend,
I'm finally back and able to reply. I'm so glad you liked GO, as you know it's a favourite of mine. Since you're on a movie mode, you may perhaps recommend me something, I always trust your judgment.
Have you been well? :D
