Hello my dear, it's good to read you!! :D
Yes, it's been a while, and mostly the fault is mine I suppose, as I was first absent for a long time, then I came back to criticize all the most popular dramas and soon I'll be going on a holiday. LOL
Drama-wise, I can say I have taken out my foot from the gas pedal. My obsession for YOUR "husband" and his latest work spoiled me for everything I attempted at watching afterwards. You should have warned me! ;);)
More seriously, this very critic attitude of mine kept me away from discussion threads, as I didn't want to spoil everyone's pleasure.
But how about you? I haven't seen you around either - but perhaps that's only because I haven't been. How's your blog going on? And your drama watching? :)

Thank you for your support: as much as it can be funny to sing out of the choir, it's always much more satisfactory to do so in good company. ;)
As a matter of fact, I had a lot more to say and criticize about that drama: how plot lines where introduced and interruped without continuity; how none of the side stories were well developed; how every character remained as flat as a sheet of paper; how lame the romance was. But I didn't want to write an essay, I don't thing the drama deserves it.

I'm always looking out for your reviews, because I know you usually choose the most neglected dramas. As a lover of reviews myself, I find those are a lot more useful than the nth rave party about the "drama of the moment". :)
When will I read your next? :D:D

Yes, I'm leaving on November 5th and be back by the end of the month. We are going to France first and the Nederlands afterwards: the weather is going to suck for sure, but we are visiting good friends so I expect it to be a great holiday. :D
I have dropped all those dramas in a day because I wanted to "tidy up" my list. I suppose I'll drop more, but for now it suffice to have gotten rid of the most blatant melodramas. Yes, you read me right, they are not my cup of tea. It seem to me, seen one I have seen them all. Even the setting is always the same, some corporate business everyone wants to thrust their claws into.
And I think I see the type of man you favour (in a drama at least): the dark, strong one, ready to sacrifice his wellbeing for the people he loves, but who doesn't show it, hence is mistaken for heartless. :)
The good thing is: we will never be rivals in love, haha!! ;):D

Thank you for understanding, Twinnie. ;)
I am going to watch both! But not right now: I haven't got the time to start any new drama now; besides, I've found out I prefer to marathon through completed dramas - or almost - than watching 2 episodes a week of an airing one. Unless I fall head over heels with a story and its characters, the wait kills all the pleasure, just as much as it enhances it when I love it.
But Japanese dramas usually restore my good mood, so you can be sure I'll be of the party. ;)

Thank you for your recommendation, Omni. In fact, I had never taken that one into consideration, for some reason, but I too trust your judgment very much and since I have finally dropped Innocent Man - and had a party to celebrate my re-found freedom and neurons - I suppose I can pick up the vampire! ;) Besides, I like murder mysteries very much.
Arang never was in my list: the poster alone made me think of Gumiho and you know I'd rather be tortured than be reminded of it.
So the vampire it is!! :D:D

My dearest,
don't hate me too much, but I'm dropping Nice Guy with a huge sigh of relief. It irritates me so much I fear if I go on watching, I'll get a rash. I will stare at Joong Ki's pictures and hope to see him again in something which suits my taste a little more.
Sorry my friend. To be very, very honest, I have endured until episode 14 only because of you.

Uh, I didn't know of this drama, but the cast certainly sounds interesting: I love both leads.
I also found out the drama has been given a rating by 16 people already: the sure know in advance! lol
Whatever: put in my ptw list for sure! :D

LOL, I'm afraid I can't be of any help here, as I am no fan of Lee Min Ho. Yes, blasphemy! If it can make you go softer on me, I have been grilled before because of him and my not liking him. I call him the marble statue... :P

Thank you, my friend, for lending a patient ear and sharing your thoughts with me. :D
I have come to the sad conclusion that the the only reason why I'm still watching is that Joong Ki's too hot for words. I sound ilke a 15 year old, but denying would be even more childish at this point. The guy is a pleasure for the eye. This said, for all I care about the characters, they could all die in the end - except for Choco and that beanpole of her, lol. I almost wished the drama were about them. :P

I have a conflicted opinion of City Hunter. I loved it while it was airing and I watched each episode with pleasure to the end, although I am not a fan of Lee Min Ho. But ever since they aired the last episode I never, not even for a minute, felt the desire to rewatch a scene, or listen to the music, or find out if it had a continuation. In a word: it disappeared from my mind the moment it finished.
This is weird, when I love a drama I re-watch some of my favourite scenes and the story lingers there for weeks.
So, I don't even know what I think about it, lol. I gave it a 9 because I think it's a well directed drama with a consistent plot and great photography, but that's it. :)

Very, very true, my dear. Escher is a question mark, but that is why he seems to bring back some balance to my mind when in doubt. What's more revealing than a reality which can be viewed from so many different standing points? ;)

I have been wishing to write you these days to... rant. LOL I am in need of an ear which won't immediately skin me alive: I can't stand that absurd melodrama called Innocent Man!
However, I'm too far into the story now to simply drop it, so I'm somehow self-condemned to a watch that is so far from a pleasure as a chinese torture is from a bath with Bach's flowers. Obviously I want to know how it ends, although I have half an idea, but is it only me or those characters are one more irritating than the next, and getting worse by the minute?

Hello Omni,
how are you? It's been a while since we last happily raved or ranted about a drama - btw, I see you've dropped Rich Man Poor Woman: wise girl! It never improved from its mediocrity. :P
Because I felt very brave and tenacious for having watched that one to the very end, I started a melodrama, or perhaps I should say THE Melodrama: Innocent Man.
The result is, I now spend hours wandering around in search of a kindred spirit who find it as boring as I do. I don't know what's more pathetic, the drama itself, or me insisting on watching it. :P

My dear Twinny,
Escher is always the best solution when I feel a little confused, or in doubt. His idea that reality only depends on perception puts things back in perspective. ;)
This said, I can only wish you to get rid of the "writer cramp", hehe.
By the by, I will be on a holiday almost the whole month of November, like last year. Not that I won't have access to a computer, but for someone who works with it, it's nice to have a respite from the machine, now and then. :D
Hug you back, my friend!

Indeed he's among my favourites too. I have asked several times the MDL admins to add the screenwriter to the dramas info, but it always went unnoticed. I believe for many of us it would be a much more useful information than, say, what the drama's popularity rank is.
This said, this particular writer combines delicacy and wit in a way I find charming. Have you watched the one about the perfect son, his latest script? I have it in my ptw list, I think it must be truly funny.

Ah, sweet memories!! LOL
No, I never noticed the reference, since I watched Strawberry after Love Shuffle. Good job in pointing that out, Mike. I love little details like these. :D
By the way: do you eat the strawberry first? ;)
Whatever, Love Shuffle is a jewel. You really make me want to re-watch it for the 3rd time! ;)

Hello Rain,
thank you for your appreciation and for passing by to say hi. :D
Are you really on Jeju Island right now? Can I express a little envy? ;);)
My drama watching is very slow at the moment, but perhaps it's better this way, I'm trying to bring back that enthusiasm I had when I started watching dramas. Unfortunately, the Secret Gardens and the King 2 Hearts of this world aren't produced every day. ;)

Hello my dear,
I see you're not watching too many dramas at the moment, I hope this is because you're involved in other pleasurable activities! :D
This said, I also noticed you haven't watched "Moon Child", the Japanese movie. Something tells me you'd love it - not to mention the fact that the two leads are one of the most gorgeous couple ever appeared on screen. ;) There's quite a lot of fighting and shooting involved, but other than that it depicts a beautiful friendship (that's why you came to mind ;)).
Tell me what you think whenever, and if ever, you decide to watch it. :)
Hugs!

I have been in France many times, my husband is from Marseille, so we usually favour the South to visit his family, but I have visited the Vosges and Alsace, the area of Lyon and the Beaujolais, Paris and l'Ile and went as far as Angers towards the north west. Normandie is still missing, but not for long, since it's been on our "must see" places for a long time. :D
Whatever the coordinates, it's always a pleasure to go to France, eat and drink well and see some wonderful places. :)
