I know how frustrating it can be not to be able to go on a holiday, long or short, either due to the lack of time or the lack of money (in my case, those two often go together). I have envied my friends last summer, when they all left for one place or another, but I must say it's great to go when everybody else's working too, and avoid the masses of tourists. I have to admit it wasn't easy to see Amsterdam with an almost horizontal rain which bit the little of my face which wasn't covered by hat, scarf, hood and umbrella, lol, but the little I saw was worth it, hahaha.
You live in Warsaw, I read. Now, that is another city I wish I'll be able to see one day! :D

Thank you Skye!
Forgive me for replying so late, I have been very far from any usable computer (and yes, I admit it, even happy to be). I had a great holiday and a lovely b-day.
Hope I find you well too! :D

My dearest Twinny!
I'm back from my holidays refreshed, relaxed, re-energized and ready to resume a little drama watching. :D Oh, I still have to finish the gloomy drama we both know about, and in due time write my desecrating review (which is going to own me a lot of hate, just in time for Christmas, lol).
I'm going to post some pics of theplaces I visited at the Pretties, hope you pop in now and then.
How have you been, my friend? I am now going to read your pm, I just wanted to give a sign of my presence, given how late I'm replying and end it with my usual warm hug!!
Kisses :)

I LOVE Gackt! :D Akumu-chan is on my list as of now. ;)
I travelled to the south of France first, than up to Lorraine, Luxembourg, Belgium and finally The Netherlands. It was magic and busy, despite the cold weather. As you say, now and then it's just great to unplug and be reminded there's a wonderful world out there waiting to be explored and enjoyed. :D

Hello Addy - please forgive my habit to find nicknames without the owner's approval! ;)
Sorry I'm replying so late, perhaps you read on my profile that I was on a holiday, far from the madding net crowd ;)
It's been a great break and a lovely journey, so it's now a little strange for me to go back to my usual habits and the drama watching. I still have to finish Innocent Man - and it's going to require all my endurance ability. :P
How about you? Are you well? Watching something interesting?
I also have to make up for all the missed articles... a busy time awaits me... ;)

Hello Betta - that's how we italian usually shorten the name Elisabetta ;). Please forgive me for the very late reply, I have been on a holiday almost the whole month of November and in between visiting places and connection problems I almost forgot the Internet exists - which, for a change can be a refreshing thought. ;)
Thanks for liking my reviews, I like yours too, if only you wrote more! :D
I haven't watched much drama lately (and that's another refreshing thing, to be really honest), and I fear my next review will be another... against the current one. I must have been a salmon in my previous life. :P
How about you? Watching something interesting? :D

Hello Shelley, you must have guessed I WAS still on holiday, given my very, very late reply. :S Be assured, I'm usually a bit lazy but not so much, lol.
Ojakgyo brothers was not on my ptw list because of the length, as you rightly point out, but I've heard only good about it and I may give it a try when I have lots of leisure time. Thanks for recommending. :D
Are you watching something interesting now?

Good morning my dear Violet! :D
How are you?
I'm back from my holiday, which was lovely enough to make me sad it ended, and long and quite fatiguing so that I'm happy to be back to my routinary comfort. Just like a good drama. ;)
Watching something interesting?

Hello my dear, I'm fine, just very, very busy with the last pages of my translation before Christian and I leave for France tomorrow, on a much deserved holiday. ;) This is why I haven't started any new drama, and it's also the reason why I may be less active here than ever (which is an euphemism, given my hiccupping presence, LOL). But I wanted you to know, just in case I don't reply at once. Of course I will have access to the net, but part of my holiday will be to stay away from it, for a while. :)
I have started A gentleman's dignity before, but stopped by episode 2 or 3, perhaps I was simply not in the mood. I read your review and loved it though, therefore I think I may pick it up again and put up with the annoying heroine - maybe she improves?
In the meantime, I send you a big, warm hug! :D

I know the feeling: when I'm too much in a hurry to write because I hated a drama or I loved it, the result is usually quite... semantically heated. LOL

Great review of Bloody Monday. As usual, I found it extremely useful without having watched the drama, and so well written!
Thanks, Rose! :D

Sorry dear, cannot do. You can't expect me to watch the whole thing only to write a half apologetic review. They will pay for my suffering, lol. ;)

Oh, I have a very simple reason: I WANT to write the most outrageous review ever. To do so, I need to at least complete it. A mixture of fast forwarding and comment reading does the trick.
When a drama grates on my nerves to this point, the desire to bash it surpasses the torture.
So my friend don't worry: I haven't crossed to the dark side, mine is a lucid revenge plot. LOL ;)

Happy watch, then. If I recall, HYD2 is the one where Sojiro's story is told - my fav. character. :D

Hi Becca, I love your review of HYD. It's a different take of this timeless story and I like how much enthusiasm you've put in it: it makes me really want to rewatch it. :D

I added Manhattan Love Story in my ptw list as soon as I read your review. You know I trust your judgment, so I'll be sure not to miss this one!
I've already told you you should write more reviews... ;)

What I am translating is actually a romantic novel set in the medical world, with the two leads being both doctors. It's not necessarily my genre, but it's what I do for a living, so the plot is irrelevant. That's why when I watch a drama I expect it to surpass a little the sugary romance my work subjects me to. ;)
I'm off now. Thank you for the very plesant chat! Let's repeat it soon. :D

We have very similar taste it seems, with a notable exception each: I hated 49 days and from what I see you hated Secret Garden. LOL
But that's exactly because the character either speak to us or they don't. A lot depends on our personal experiences.
Like you say, a lot still has to be seen. Right now though, I can't indulge in any drama, good or bad. My translation (a medical romance no less) is eyeing me with a vengeance... :P

I am not a rom-com addicted, in general. Mind you, I like comedy and I like romance, but for these two to successfully unite I need something more than cheesy declarations, a couple of kisses and the usual ton of shilly-shally. Love Shuffle is a gem: it's clever, modern, hilarious and wonderfully acted, rare qualities indeed.
It's difficult for me to pinpoint a favourite genre, because I'm invariably attracted to the characters, more than the plot. The plot can be unoriginal, but if characters and dialogues are witty, say something different for a change, I'm satisfied.
It's the reason why I adored dramas like Secret Garden, Orange Days, Long Love Letter, Q10, K2H, Shut Up flower boy band and others. I fell in love with the characters and loved to see them interact with one another. I... cared for them. If I don't, the most convoluted drama will leave me cold.
What about you? :)

Thank you for your review of Ramyun Shop! Be sure the unhelpful button will not be pressed by me. I have discarded this drama as soon as it was announced: the idea itself did not attract me. However, as if often happens, I hesitated a couple of times because of enthusiastic reviews I read. But... something was still putting me off. Your review decided my curse of action: dropped at 0 episodes. LOL
I know one should form a personal opinion of things before judging, but I suppose after a lot of korean rom-coms I have developed a sort of radar. I may pick it up one day in the future and see for myself, but right now I'm happy to have one less in my ptw list. :D
