If you wish, I can upload Ikemen desu ne on 4shared and send you the link. I have the whole serie on my pc because at the time I had trouble with the streaming mirrors.
I just need the time to upload it all, but I can send you the link once I'm done with a couple and while you watch I upload the rest. :)

Absolutely. Read my bio for references, LOL.
It seems lately k-drama are improving a lot regarding women leads. That's why I'm duble annoyed when some writer still come up with the trite, and now old, cliche' of the dumb klutz.

I think I've just read the best written review ever: your Kim Sam Soon's one.
I confess (please be kind with me), I did not enjoy the drama, despite it's being objectively a gem, for script, direction, wonderful actors, humour.
However, your review almost made me want to watch it again. I won't, not right now, because I remember it well and I remember the... pain it caused me, but I needed to compliment you because your review is really wonderful.
I'm not a flatterer, so please take it as an impulsive, honest comment. :)

hmmm, not really. There is a second female, and there is a second male, but they are both tolerable, even likable. The second male is not the usual doormat all good and sweet who never gets the girl, and the second female... is doing it all wrong, but there is something about her I actually like. She's not super evil, just trying to survive.
This drama is not cliche-free, it just treats the cliche in quite a surprising way, without exaggerated angst or people cying all over the place. Even the humour is different, dropped here and there, not slapstick.
But I truly believe you should watch and decide for yourself. After watching many dramas, we all become picky, but there are things we like or dislike which are really hard to explain rationally. To me, the fact alone that the female lead is a smart woman is enough to overlook all the rest. :)

No, no, no, sorry, I wasn't referring to you in any way. What I meant is that the issues are teated in an open-minded way if compared to the way the average K-drama does. Not to spoil the drama, but, for instance, she's pregnant but doesn't want to marry. That's not her purpose. I liked that: regardless of what each of us thinks about the issue, I like it that they decided to show the other side of the coin. Same about abortion, or the younger-older relationship. It's open minded because it explores (without judging), almost all points of view.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. :)

I have tried to watch Fated to Love You, but I dropped it by episode... 4 I think. Too cheesy and the female is the usual klutz, or so it seemed.
I believe the only trait in common is the pregnancy out of a one-night stand. The rest is totally different: the characters, the development, the pace, the way in which issues are debated and resolved upon. I do I do is more adult a drama which deals with delicate issues in a refreshingly mature (and open-minded) way.
You've been warned. ;)

Yes, it does. Personally, I liked the pace of it from the beginning, not too convoluted, but I see how it can bore others. However, after the first few episodes, the plot itself becomes more gripping and most of all, the characterization is splendid, the characters truly come to life and change in a believable way. You must love the characters though: if not, it's much better to drop it, because the drama is built upon them and mainly on Kim Sun A's persona. I AM a little biased, though, since I love Kim Sun A. It's also an older woman younger guy story, so I'm not sure you would appreciate it. :)

I'm not watching much. I'm distracted by 1000 things: love the Summer. ;)
I do I do, which I truly like and Kagi no Kakatta Heya, which is episodic, so it's perfect for the season: one can watch an episode today and the next in a week, it won't change a thing. I also like logic quiz, so I'm enjoying it quite a lot. :)
How about you?

Honestly? I value reviews for how useful they are when choosing to watch or not watch a drama. A review which goes "BEST DRAMA EVA!!!" <3<3<3<3<3 is as useful as a hammer blow on the head. What I like to read is the why: you liked it? Well, tell me why and what. If you're able to do so, I may or may not agree, but your review is valuable nonetheless.
Therefore, you have my support, for what is worth. :)

Honestly, I start distancing from them. While in the beginning I thought it was funny, even sweet at times, now I drop the drama as soon as I smell "dumb heroine" or "evil uncle". Mostly the silly lead female, I've had enough of those. I can put up with meddling relatives if the leading lady has a brain. If not, I'd better stay well away. ;)

I translate romance novels, from the average Harlequin to more complex (and gripping) historical or medical romances.
Basically, I'm immersed day and night in hot glances and shivers down (and up) the spine. As if I didn't have enough, I frolick with romantic dramas in my free time. :P This is probably why I'm a lot more punctilious towards a romantic plot than I am about anything else.
Some of the most celebrated rom-com dramas here seem to have derived their plot and mundane lines to a class B harlequin (actually, some harlequins are a lot better).
The Bridal Mask will be my autumn pleasure - or so I hope.
I'll wait for your review! :D

Hahaha, pervert! ;) I agree, by the way. I also think she's very elegant. It seems such a shallow statement, but it's quite refreshing to see a woman with true taste in a K-drama.
What I have learnt from it is that:
1. smart women with a career CAN indeed be the heroines of a drama. Hurrah!
2. there are no adults in this world: only kids with wrinkles
3. a senile uterus can be used as the perfect excuse to discourage a man. At least until you get pregnant with another. :P
Seriously, I truly like this drama. It's surprising, endearing, romantic in its own anti-mushy way, and it's funny without retorting to some klutz who's always saying the wrong thing. :D

Always glad to make you smile! ;)
I'm not watching much, really. I told my editor I will be working the whole summer and she was very happy, because most translators go on a holiday now and she feared nobody would translate her new medical novel. :P So when I have free time I'd rather go out or swimming than sit in front of my pc... again. ;)
However, I manage to watch 2 episodes of I do I do each week (I actually like it a lot) and en episode now and then of Kagi No Kakatta Heya, which is perfect for this period because it's episodic.
How about you? How are you?
Watching The Bride Mask I suppose? :D

Just kidding, of course. Yes, I would love to see some episodes more, although I am not a fan of babies (here, I confessed it), or perhaps I should say I'm not a fan of everything related to the birth of a baby, it always seems a little cheesy to me. I'd like to see them jump to when the child is a little grown up though, enough to talk: I love talking kids, LOL.
This said, I haven't watched ep.14 yet: these past days have been very hectic and this is the first free moment I have... and run at once to watch it! :D

I like it. :D Nothing earth-shattering, but very pleasant in Summer when instead of a marathon I'd rather watch 1 episode now and then. I'm also a fan of Erika Toda, so she's a bonus. ;)
I suppose you've seen it: did you like it?

Hmmm, it all started with chinese wuxia-like films and Takeshi Kaneshiro. I went looking for more of his work and found a couple of Japanese movies with him. From there I decided to try out other Japanese movies and I was fortunate enough to land on "Tada Kimi Wo Aishiteru", a very sweet, suave love story with Hiroshi Tamaki. And this actor led me to the drama world, first with Nodame Cantabile and then to all the rest.
I wasn't so lucky with K-dramas: my first was My Girl, which I found enjoyable enough but if I had to rewatch it today I'd probably drop it and then, like you, Full House, which kept me away from Korea for at least a year! :P
Coffee Prince be blessed, because without it I think I would never have come back to k-dramas. ;)
So here's my drama-story in a nutshell. :D
