I didn't know of your love for... Odi. You fickle woman! ;);)

Wow, architecture is a very fascinating subject. I am amazed by the creativity and at times visionary ability of architects. My only approach to it has been tons of lego when I was a kid. LOL
You should use your study as the best excuse to visit Italy. ;)
The weather isn't wonderful here either, it's been raining a lot lately. The temperature is great, though, around 20° and everything is either green or in bloom. I love this time of year.
Are you on the west or east side of Canada?

LOL, in the case of this movie, I didn't even stop thinking if it would be helpful to anyone: I just needed to shred it into pieces. To each one her venting methods. ;);)
Yes, 200 seems a little too much to me too: I already have problems wedging my craving for dramas into my working hours and most of the time I end up rushing like mad in order to give back my translation in time. I'm not proud of this. :P
I agree with you about how helpful a review is. I often read them before watching something and regardless if I agree with the marks or not, I find them helpful when they are well written and the opinion expressed has substance.
The rest is taste... indisputable thing. :D

What do you do, Asian Canadian girl? ;)

Thank you for accepting and for your appreciation of my reviews. I just wrote one which is going to earn me at least a couple of hateful glances (which I won't see, so no problem).
As a matter of fact, I have worked as a free-lance journalist in the past, but the political oriented ambiance of newspapers made me change my direction entirely. So here I am, a translator who's more than happy to work behind the scenes. :)
I'm happy you like this site, it's a great place to put some order into an otherwise inextricable blob of dramas. I started watching asian dramas almost 5 years ago, this is why I have seen quite a lot. But you'll soon find out there are members here who have watched over 200 dramas... don't ask me. ;)

Twinnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!
I have missed you too. I have been so many times on the verge of writing you, but got always distracted by... life. You know I can't simply open the page and write 2 lines: this is my biggest limit. If I write, it has to be at least an essay. LOL
I'm glad you finished your sketchbook. Are you happy with it? Has it come out the way you wanted?

I have been fine. The stress is gone - to come back soon, I'm sure, but I'll bandage my head after it's broken, not before. ;) I have convinced my mother to watch a drama with me! She's coming over tomorrow and I'll show her the first 2 episodes of King 2 Hearts (it's her kind of thing). I have to translate the subs and read them to her, because she has trouble doing it herself. It will be either hilarious or a catastrophy. LOL

I'm so happy you are liking it so far. I'm a little... possessive towards this drama, almost as though it were a creature of mine, LOL. Please don't be deterred by the poor quality of the cinematography, I know it's not shiny and spectacular as more modern dramas or eye-candy as korean ones, but I believe the raw, almost grating setting makes the intensity of emotions shine. And one must love Yosuke Kubozuka (here as well as everywhere else), he's smart, but also incredibly insecure. This drama is so human... I simply love it. :)

Sorry my dear, I had to go cook something before I run out of the house for my side job (tutoring).
It's going to be a long day...
I wish you a great one and wait to read your episode review. :D
Hugs.

Ohhhhhh, Violet: the tree!
All the scenes you mention are wonderful. This drama is a collection of moments and quotes. For example, I love how Akira's presented. The first thing he says is: "Nietzsche says God's dead. But how did he die, I wonder?" That's not an ordinary introduction of a character. It's clever, and deep.
And there are so many. Not to mention the humour, which is priceless, imo. The whole story of the man who stalks people in the night to have them confess who they love it's hilarious!!
Yes, it's decided. I'll add re-watching Nobuta to my plan to survive until wednesday!
;);)

I agree wholeheartedly.
I should have known, you have it in your favourites in pole position. ;) Mmmm, now that it was mentioned, I may re-watch it... for the 3th time: I have it all downloaded.

Hahahahaha.
Well, you're lucky: I didn't write the script of Rooftop Prince and I have no oracle glass, so there are very high chances I got it all wrong. You enjoy your ride and I'll wait for you should you decide to watch the other travelling joseon man. ;)

Yes, I know what you mean.
A good example could be Nobuta, one of my favourite dramas. Most people simply discard it as a teenager drama, they complain there's not enough romance, but I think that drama has a lot more depth than your average school fluff. I laughed, and thought and simply adored to watch how the friendship grew and became as strong as any romance.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like to laugh or I want only heavy dramas. I like good humour, and I like silliness too, as long as it's either only comic, or it has some deeper, more human problem to face.:)

Oh, if you want my very personal take on the ending of RP, here's my theory:
The modern prince (can't remember his name) isn't dead and will pop up sooner or later and end up with modern Park Ha. The joseon prince will go back to the past through the same time twirl and find out the dead body is not the princess' but one of her waiting ladies, killed in order to have the princess flee with a lover or something, but by then the prince will have found out how evil she was and marry her sister instead.
All's well that ends well. :P

LOL, I might go back to it in the future, I truly like Yoochun and I resisted because of him. But the plot is beyond redemption, for my taste. And I'm not really a fan of fluffy dramas. If I want to really laugh, I prefer Japanese humour, which is so surreal.
As for Cha Seung Won, that's really a problem that can't be solved, I'm afraid. All the more so, if he acts in Hong Sisters' dramas (yes, this is another idiosyncracy of mine, possibly because the infamos sisters are the queens of fluff).

I want to start Queen In Hyun's Man though. It's another time travel, but the plot appeals to me more. Are you watching it, by chance? :)

Violet dear, I'm afraid I've dropped the rooftop prince. It's not my cup of tea. And before I bash a drama which is obviously likable just to vent my frustration, I'd rather drop the thing and migrate towards others, more to my liking shores. ;)
