I can't believe I actually made this LOL. I randomly chose Crazy In Love as the BGM and tried to see how far I could go by taking (most of) the scenes out of context. It turned out hilarious!!

P.S. I'm planning on making some more FMVs of this drama. I'm welcome to ideas :D

I think they never considered the possibility of the groom being DFQC, because the poem specifically said that the person CDNZ was meant to marry had a surname of Xiao. So they are convinced that Xiao Run must be the right groom.

They actually figured out and understood the poem, and went in knowing CDNZ and XR were supposed to meet and fall in love during the festival night. What went wrong was that both DFQC and XLH thought something had gone wrong in the process - DFQC thinking that XR did not arrive in time to stop CDNZ from drinking the drugged tea so he stopped her himself + XLH thinking that the bandits were not allowing XR to go see CDNZ and went to rescue him. They both thought they were facilitating the event by saving their respective person, but it ended up messing things up. CDNZ was SUPPOSED to drink the tea and fall off the building, and XR was supposed to be beaten up in the alleyway so he could catch her from the fall.

I'm betting on that orchid plant being the thing that allows them to resurrect XLH

You're right, this only counts her age after she is reborn as a flower. It doesn't count the years when she was in Xilan.

In Chinese culture, Pi An flower symbolizes death and separation. This plant has flowers and leaves that never meet, when flowers are in bloom, the leaves don't grow, and when there are leaves, there is no flower. In Chinese legend, the Pi An flower is a flower that grows on the Huang Chuan Road (kind of like Wang Chuan/the lake of forgetting) that dead people pass through to forget their memories and reincarnate. So any mention of this flower's name in dramas would likely be about people never being able to see each other again due to one person's death.

According to Rong Hao, Xunfeng really did cut ties with him, so at elast we know he's no longer on Hai Shi's side. But I'm still not entirely sure if he is fully supporting DFQC. At least we know one thing, he doesn't care about his sister-in-law, so that's gonna be a problem for sure.

I'm thinking about what each OST song represents.

Loss of Memory (Esther Yu) - This one is about XLH's love towards DFQC. In the lyrics, she thinks back on their moments tgt and the secret feelings she has stored at the bottom of her heart. "I've been with you through life and death, I've fought against the world with you." "If our love is destined to part, I would rather lose my memory." (Could this be a hint to the plot??)

Searching For You - This one seems to be in DFQC's perspective instead. He is looking for XLH. "Walking through the thorns, looking for you, day and night" "Our story has not been written down" He believes that the end is not predetermined.

Parting Love - This is the theme song, and it corresponds with the original title "Parting of Demon and Orchid" so all the lyrics are story references. "When the ground breaks, I open my eyes. My soul has no place to go so it can only fall. When our souls meet amongst the sky and earth, our love vows cause a realization - I can't bear a world without you. When emotions are removed, the gentleness once left between your fingertips, became a sword that pierced towards me."

I Still Remember That Day - Ah, the theme song for our poor SML Chang Heng's hopeless love :,( "I still remember that day, you came into my eyes. The story fades with your smile. It still lingers not far away." "If I meet you again, I am afraid I will be given the courage to miss you again."

Remaining Love - Not sure about this but it seems to be a generally sad song about all the love lines in the drama. "A lover's dream is unforgettable. When you wake up it ends up hurting." "Why is your heart still aching?" The characters cannot be with who they love.
