Esther suits this role but for ML..hmm. I just hope his acting not gonna be stiff again and mediocre
I've seen Dylan Wang in both Meteor Garden and Miss the Dragon. I dunno why, but his performance in Meteor Garden was way less stiff than in Miss the Dragon (which is where the criticism came from). I think his role in this drama has a more similar personality to Dao Ming Si in Meteor Garden, so I'm hoping that he performs at least at the level of his debut work this time.
i think the drama removed the whole part of her trying to find a new body and replaced it with sml plot i’m…
I hope that the change is worth it too. I don't mind a love triangle if it's not too draggy and SML doesn't annoy FL too much. I think the real CP is apparent here, so XD

Yeah, I noticed there was a huge change in the plot. Not sure it's a good or bad thing tho, we'll have to see. I do agree that the plot in the novel was rather simple and the "finding a body" thing took up too much of the time. But at the same time, I'm not a fan of love triangles, and one good thing about the novel was that it didn't have a SML. So this change can be both good and bad.
For those bitching about Esther Yu being the lead actress of this drama, I gotta say, I read the novel and the personality of the female lead character in the story is very similar to Esther Yu irl. The role suits her perfectly as if it were tailor-made for her, and there is every reason to cast her for this.
Can I expect a decent screentime for Cristy Guo? or just some special appearances
Not sure about the drama, but in the novel, her character only appears in the prologue and towards the end of the story. I think they might change it tho.
What’s the FL like? I’m too lazy to read the whole book.
He's the typical overbearing CEO type of male lead, who clearly has feelings but fails to acknowledge them. One cute feature tho, is how child-like and flustered he acts sometimes due to the female lead's mischief. It's a fun dynamic, imo.
To all those who read the novel, which existing Xianxia drama is it most like or is it something entirely different?…
Neither of them, the plot of this drama is completely different from all the xianxias that have aired so far, except for the forbidden love part (which is not an exclusive trope to xianxias).
Is the bodyswap a big part of the story? How long does it last for?
In the novel, the female lead loses her original body and lives without a stable/reliable body for almost the entire story, but in the drama they changed it. The trailer clearly shows that the female lead's body still exists (and is possessed by the male lead). So I doubt the body swap will last for a long time given this fact.
It hasn't started so I don't know, but I enjoyed the novel and the first few episodes of the anime.
In the novel, they gradually fall for each other, female lead notices her own feelings at around the middle of the story, and male lead towards the end of the story.
Judging from the latest trailer, I think they changed the story by quite a lot (and added a lot more stuff). In the novel, the leads only admit their feelings for each other in the last few chapters and the story ends before they become official (it is implied that they stay tgt tho). In the drama, they will have a lot more romantic moments together early on and more stuff happens after they confess their feelings. So I am guessing that they fall for each other earlier in the drama compared to the novel.
Haven't started on the rest.
Trying to sleep so tmr can come quicker and I can binge the 6 episodes XD
