Being a huge fan of this novel, I can't help but to post some trivias that's in the novel but not mentioned in…
1. Han Ye had 4 other brothers and one sister other than Anning. Elder brother, 5th brother, 6th brother and 13th brother (later became the crown prince when HY went missing) 2. Anning's love interest was Shi Zhengyan, a general who worked with her when she's posted at the border. Anning mentioned in her letter to him before her death that she wanted to live as a normal lady and married to him in her next life. 3. DZY owned half of the land property in the capital city of Dajing including the land where the crown prince palace resided on. She mentioned that she could tear down his residence if she wanted to 😆. The land deeds were passed on when Han Zian gifted half of the land to Di Shengtian as a gratitude for helping him to conquer the country. 4. DZY had a cousin sister Di Junxuan who managed a restaurant at Junxian city (border between Dajing and Northern Bei) and she headed the intelligence network to provide information to DZY during the war. Even the king didn't know about this intelligence network but HY suspected it, exposed it, used it to his advantage through one of his scheme which DZY could only salute him. 5. HY's blood was highly potent that could resist most poisons. His father had been feeding him with some elixir since he's small so that he wouldn't be poison by his other brothers. HY actually managed to save DZY once by drawing his blood to feed DZY to keep her alive when she's badly injured in one battle. 6. HY had a collection of DZY's toys, books and furnitures of hers when she's was small. He renovated one part of his residence to look like DZY residence when she's small and kept her belonging there. HY crept into Northern Bei pretended to be a merchant, followed by DZY as a daughter of one Northern Bei's general to get hold of General Shi's bone and kill Northern Bei King. That king actually fell in love with DZY and proposed to her to be his wife 😆... HY was of course angry and jealous!! 8. The fake DZY, Di Chengen was made as Han Ye's concubine by the king as a warning to HY that he's keeping an eye on him after RenAnle exposed herself to be DZY. Later, she caused the rift between Han Yun's (Han Ye's brother) mother and DZY when DZY was ruling as regent... Yes, she's a pest until the end but HY forgave her and let her leave the palace after HY became king. 9. LMX never join them at war and was all along at the capital keeping an eye on the king and managing the court on behalf of DZY as by that time, DZY had most influences in the court. 10. LMX didn't die and recovered after being treated using the Changsi flower. He became very good friend with Di Junxuan and I wasn't sure if they became each others love interest... I imagine they would. 11. Mo Shuang ruled as a regent for Northern Bei after his brother died as his brother's son was too small then. In order to protect Northern Bei after it's weakened by the war with Dajing, she proposed to HY to be married to him as a concubine (and to repay her for taking care of him after he fell off cliff) so that Dajing can protect Northern Bei from being attacked by other nations. Of course, HY refused...
