I can't remember which chapter but this scene should happen before they each departed for their planned military attack ie. yesterday's episodes... Fat hope we'll get this scene. The Fuling mountain kiss happened the night of the New Year banquet after Han Ye knew of her identity. He stole a kiss from her when she's was drunk.
In the novel, DZY kissed him back to confirm it was him who kissed her back then, right in front of all her soldiers before they each set off for their military attack. She then said, she needed to get a few more guys to test out and compared. He was embarrassed and shouted huang tang with the rest of the soldiers watching and laughing at them. Yup, we didn't get this, otherwise it should have been in today's episode.
Oh yes he did in the novel. I'm disappointed that scene was omitted... He kissed her when she's drunk in Fuling mountain after the New Year banquet ie. after he knew she's DZY.
Youku really did this show dirty...they didn't bother to promote it much, they butchered the script and got too…
Me too... It's amazing that how much we rant about the messy plot, the fake DZY and the horrible CGI, yet, we're still holding on and thinking of rewatching 😂 .
P/s: This jail incident happened right before the war happened. He really didn't want the throne anymore and planned his suicide redemption in the war to stop his father's obsession of passing the throne to him.
Maybe I'll explain one more...HY's killing Jiang out in public. We all know HY was a calm person and yet he just exploded and did that? Besides to silence Jiang, HY was indirectly telling his father that he wanted give up his crown prince position and not inherit a throne tgat stepped on lives of many souls. The things the king had done to Di family just to hold on to his throne would not mean anything if HY was not the crown prince anymore. The conversation and confrontation the king and HY had in jail with regards to the king's cruelty in planting Anning to witness her grandmother's conversation and using his own mother as scapegoat was heart breaking for Han Ye's and Anning. Anning just happened to visit her brother in jail and heard his father admission to using her as pawn and being a princess, it's rightful she should do that for the throne which HY going to inherit. It was not a coincidence that Anning was there. This confrontation couldn't exist in the drama since the drama choose not to make the king the real culprit of the drama.

I feel so sorry for the novel writer... any news on her reaction over this messy adaption? Probably slamming her palm on the table shouting "Huang tang"!!

In the novel, LMX never stepped into the war zone during the war. While DZY was at war, LMX stayed in the capital to keep an eye on the King and the court ministers because DZY planned to dethrone the Han family after she's back from war.
