is neck kissing the new thing in the BL world to avoid kissing a man on his lips ? we saw it in moonlight chicken…
So glad I’m not the only one scratching my head over this…. It’s becoming so common, even with stars who have already kissed a co-star. Tharn said it best: I’m not sleeping with someone who won’t kiss me.
Guys, you're amazing. I love your comments, you made my night better. 😂😂😂 And for the series, I stopped…
Since the subtitles were already a mess, I thought cake was a typo. Replace every instance of cake with a phallic male body part and the tantrums make more sense.
I love side couples too. I just don’t like when there are too many they don’t develop. “My Engineer” and “My Secret Love” did a pretty good job developing all 4 couples to where they had a decent storyline with development.
This show isn’t making it into my list of all time favorites, but it was funny, cringy, dramatic, and sweet. I’m pretty easy to please, and I have never dropped a show.
I have one burning question: how the hell did that pool stick withstand all the force? In the American movies, the pool stick breaks when used to hit a backside, frontside, or side of the head. But in Thai tv, pool stick is intact. I don’t understand how the physics is different in United States and Thailand!!
1. This show brought attention to gender based double standards. People hated on Cherry because of her persistence in chasing Kamol. They called her a bitch, manipulative, skank, crazy, obsessed, stalker etc. BUT Kamol did the exact same things as Cherry, and it is romantic. Wow Kamol must really love Kim. Kamal stalked Kim at work and home, even when Kim explicitly said NO. But Kamol never got the same hate.
2. They didn’t turn Kim into a pillow princess bottom during the courting phase or when they finally became a couple. Kim stayed independent, and he had no problem putting Kamol in his place. Kim had the same personality single and when getting in a relationship.
3. While I understand the age of consent in Thailand is different, Khom did not pursue a relationship with Baiboon, an innocent high schooler. We all know there was some serious attraction, but the life Khom leads is no place for a high schooler. And just because age of consent permits, doesn’t mean you should. Khom recognized this and things ended how they should.
4. There were no unnecessary side couples: Itt and Day were necessary. This show balanced the romance and the mafia job, and all the other drama nicely.
Yes the BDSM and the secretaries served no purpose, but honestly I’ve never seen BDSM, so makes no difference to me.
Do I need to watch any series before this to understand this one why is it called love syndrome 3
Itt was behind Gear raping Day’s brother. To get revenge, Day raped Itt and held him captive (through blackmail). Of course they both started to fall in love.
I would hope they have flashbacks or discussions about past events because the first book alone is mostly rape and abuse scenes. Day’s temper is ridiculous to the point I wanted to punch him. He would get angry over the smallest things. Ugh. I don’t have a problem with these triggering topics but Day’s character was so annoying.
"Uea life is so fucking sad one abusive relationship to the nextso if this show gives that bitch of mother and…
I’m really annoyed they make the mother so unlikable. And gave her no redeeming qualities. Is it me or do they make mothers more vicious than fathers?
They gave Uea the most depressing history. Everything that can possible happen to Uea has happened and now they are forcing King into the role of knight in shining armor. If King makes any mistakes, he will take the brunt of the hatred.
I thoroughly enjoyed the series but I am a bit conflicted about the coda. It was a bit anti-climatic and preachy,…
“I pity you for your grudgy and sad persona fed by resentments.” TMI, but I peed myself reading this. Like this is so real I can’t. If Alex was my friend, I would have called him out, and been understanding of his situation too.
“Just Friends” is probably my favorite kiss. We know Koreans can do it and I will never understand accepting…
Hahahahaha and last thing I must point out is we got like 4 of ‘em. I get the first one in the flashback. It was a nervous kiss. And then he was practically ghosted afterward. But damn they should have gotten better with time. Are they implying neither one kissed anyone else in those years? If yes, then they have intense willpower. Despite the lackluster kissing, this one goes on the bottom half of the KBL spectrum.
“Just Friends” is probably my favorite kiss. We know Koreans can do it and I will never understand accepting…
Yessssss, Preach! ALL good Korean BLs with above average kiss scenes. And thank you for not throwing that “we don’t have to to have a kiss for a drama to be good” BS argument. We ALL know a drama can be good without a kiss. BUT if you are going to throw a kiss in, make it worth while!!!
1. All the cliches: drunk sex with an enemy, Morning after regret, Uea has a homophobic and abusive mother, cheating…
A bad break up is sufficient reasons for Uea to get drunk and sleep with King. They could have shown us that mom is a a villain after he rushes to the hospital and she questions his relationship with King. It just throws the entire pacing off when they throw everything in at once. When writers reveal too much information too fast, it feels rushed. It’s like we now know everything we need to know about Uea and why he is the way he is in a single episode. You are right that it needs to be balanced because they do show unnecessary things.
“Warp Effect” does good job with pacing. We learn that Army does something awful to Joe, but it isn’t revealed until we finally learn what happened at Jedi’s party and what happens in school afterward.
As for transitions, I just want them to make sense. I’m fine that they transitioned from the parking lot right to being an hour into karaoke. No one cares about this. I’m also fine they spent so much time with Uea wallowing in his apartment. I do like when they cut to tan Ariel view of the city and then next scene. But those emotional scenes and the ones where it is a catalyst for something deeper should be better.
Loved the flow of the story & the cute reunion. It had its fluffy moment just the dead fish kiss is always a turn…
“Just Friends” is probably my favorite kiss. We know Koreans can do it and I will never understand accepting a role where you are unable to give 100 percent.
I am giving the actors the benefit of the doubt that it’s the directors/writers/culture etc. that don’t want to overshadow the story with sex. It took a while for Kdramas to show real kissing, so I believe the day will come for us to get proper kissing in same sex relationships.
