For those of you who can’t find any progress this week:
1. Team and Win didn’t feed into the gay man stereotype of dirty toilet sex. (Implied, but unconfirmed) 2. Team didn’t have a night terror. 3. Team knows Win’s favorite coffee drink and can order it like a good boyfriend. 4. Team got a B in English. 5. Team unofficially met Win’s parents. 6. Team has an official key to Win’s dorm.
Their relationship is going places, even if it arrives at the destination a bit slower than we like! They have known each other for one term and Win has given Team a key to his place? That’s considered fast pace in a lot of cultures.
happy holidays! I’m with you on the 8 episodes. I’ll take a side order the remaining 4 episodes of just with…
Honestly their kisses are better than I expected them to be… their entire sex life is better than I expected it to be. I expected “Even Sun” level of intimacy.
This is going to sound sexist, so I apologize in advance. I am stating this is a gay guy who has been through…
In defense of Team, notice he only acts that way when Win is being nice, cutesy, and affectionate…. When Win is after that ass, Team is incredibly compliant. Win only attacks Team in dirty locker rooms and nasty bathrooms. Team was shy during his first time, and Win was hella aggressive then too.
And your comment is not sexist. It is an observation of how both genders handle defining relationships, and your observation is on point. Women need the security while men just go with the flow.
Everyone knows that people should communicate with each other. People should be open and honest about their feelings and their needs in a relationship. But people also forget how difficult it can be to communicate with others. People also believe that communication gets easier the longer you’re in a relationship, but that is not always true. Gun should have chosen a time to tell Golf that he is feeling neglected and ignored. But how do you tell someone who is constantly ignoring you that you want more attention? Gun was probably feeling like Golf has already been rejecting him for months, so he will probably reject his feelings again. Golf should have fought for the relationship as a way of showing his feelings toward Gun. Golf doesn’t even realize what he did/is doing and people rarely self-reflect. People’s feelings are so complex that the obvious answer isn’t always so obvious. Sometimes breaking up is the best solution if open communication isn’t possible. I liked how this was written, especially seeing both of them struggling to let the relationship go.
Side note: Every time First cries, I am reminded of his dramatic “Don’t Say No” scenes. So proud of his mature character here.
It just shows that if you are too afraid to try, you can't success. Once he had the bravery to write under his…
I agree!! It’s such a great message. My heart hurt after learning Cha Jung Woo felt he had no choice but to be just as bad as his seniors. I’m going to rewatch because I feel like it was Jung Hyun’s idea and a devastated and vulnerable Jung Woo went with it. This on had a great premise and all of the characters are relatable. Even Jung Hyun not realizing the level of possessiveness over Jung Woo was detrimental. So glad Tae Young tracked him down because I have a feeling it would have never be the right time for Jung Woo to become a writer.
Recently, I read an article about Western and European women traveling to Korea in search of love and now I understand why. Korean men have the patience of saints. Dense Gu Mu Yeong’s constant misunderstands despite the evidence to the contrary. The constant wallowing and refusal to have a conversation. And Gu Mu Yeong’s running anytime Han Joon Seok calls. I’m so happy they chose to leave out Mu Yeong ditching Seon Ho when they were supposed to go on a trip.
Oddly enough I can’t even be mad because they are just so adorable. I’m a sucker for Korean BLs.
Ohhh I love the subtle reveal about Cha Jung Woo’s disgrace. What did he do that was so bad to get him kicked out of an entire profession? I continued to forget about why he couldn’t write as I became more engrossed in this strange love triangle that wasn’t really a love triangle. It is such a nice touch to have Cha Jung Woo commit the same sin he accused his seniors of committing.
My biggest criticism is that these stories do whatever necessary to ensure a happy ending. Cha Jung Woo couldn’t write for 3 years, but he was able to jump back into it as if no time passed. They built this entire narrative that there would be irreparable damages, but then his first novel published under his name is #9 on the bestsellers list. I hope they start dragging out the drama because some of these short ones need it. I’ve never seen a disappointing Korean BL, so I’ll take what I can get for now.
That ending.... I wish they could create a happy one... This time travel only making jae woo suffering more instead…
Imagine living over a decade filled with guilt that someone gave up their life for you to live. The happy ending is Shin Jae Woo being able to finally move on with his life, and not being trapped 15 years in the past. Kang Ji Hoon making the same choice even though he knew the outcome. This should never have been marketed as a BL because it isn’t much of a romance. It made the ending even more harsh….
Love the dark vibes of this show. I have a love/hate relationship with high school dramas, and this one has exceeded my expectations. I love a fierce, but humble Neung and a reserved, but cautious Palm. Both characters break against the stereotypes for their respective archetypes and even the side characters scare me. I have no idea who to trust and it makes me a bit angst. This is a major upgrade from “Golden Blood” and I’m here for it.
Not going to lie, I really enjoy the NC scenes in this series. It's like a real young couple in love. Even real…
I agree with you!!!! Lom and Tatch really illustrate a new couple during their honeymoon phase. And not just their sexual encounters, but while they are on campus, they have a nice aura about them.
One thing that’s frustrating is when a main couple gets intimate early on in the series, and then they tease physical intimacy through the rest of the series. “Ai Long Nhai” did this with the main couple. After episode 3, their physical intimacy died and was revived episode 12.
Not at all. You could technically watch each season as an independent season.
I think each season has its own charm, whether it’s the character stories or cast. Also, season 2 and 3 does provide relevant flashbacks, so you know exactly what’s going on. I hope you enjoy watching!
Okay, after all that running and the shirt grabbing during the almost fight, how in the hell did Tatch’s shirt stay so perfectly starched? There wasn’t a single wrinkle I could detect.
Now that we have learned the whole story about the drowning, I hope they move on to them defining their relationship. Or something other than the night terrors. How sad for a young child who barely understands the implications of reckless actions.
Sex in a public toilet will never be sexy, although the lead up to it was. As I have told all the high school kids I catch fooling around: “people poop in there.”
I was giving up on the BounPrem ship, but “Between Us” has temporarily redeemed them.
This is an interesting series. I didn’t expect Boy and Tod to have such a fast reunion after “Ghost House.” I do hope they are end game here. I love Boy with blonde hair though.
