Oh I understand now. I’ve been looking at that concept incorrectly. I thought it referred to violent tendencies people express when they realize they are attracted to someone of the same sex. I appreciate you clarifying that.

The only real explanation I can give is 1. Rain “didn’t mean any harm,” and it just “slipped out” because of his insane jealousy of Phayu. 2. His punishment was the “scolding” Ple gave and her obvious disappointment in his words. 3. His friend pointed out how hypocritical Rain was being because he was saying the same things about they mysterious man who fixed his car. 4. He visibly showed remorse for his words. But that remorse could be his lost chance with Ple and not because he felt bad for his inappropriate question.

I can see where they tried with it, but I just didn’t hit the right spots. It didn’t need to drag on, but an admission of guilt, and an apology? At least Type recognized his egregious behavior and tried to make amends with Tharn and his friend from home. And they gave context to Type’s homophobia. I hated every bit of it, but I understood His character.

I didn’t get the big homophobic moment as detailed in the comments below. I thought this was going to be some monumental comment like a slur. The question was rude because his tone indicated it was an issue that the brother could possibly be gay. But I can understand Rain saying it in jealousy, although inappropriate. I wouldn’t call him homophobic from that single comment though.

Help me understand the gay panic moment here. 1. Why Rain would follow a complete stranger home and sleep there is beyond me. That is just asking for trouble. 2. He has been interested in and chasing after Ple, so I can understand the panic from being forcibly fondled by Phayu. Rain was baffled when Phayu indicated that Rain has been giving signals that he wants it. Yes Rain realized he was attracted and kind of liked the kissing, but he seemed more resistant because of his imaginary beef with Phayu versus Phayu being a man. Rain doesn’t seem like a one night stand kind of person, so sleeping with a guy he barely knows would send him into panic mode too.

What are you seeing that I am missing?

As uncomfortable as it is to witness things like SA, homophobia, bigotry, colorism, bullying, discrimination etc. I can tolerate it when it is essential to character development, plot, symbolism, or other intentional purpose. It bothers me when writers throw those elements in for a quick conflict, quick character flaw, or comedic effort. Yes homophobia, SA, discrimination exists in the world, but the least writers can do is address it appropriately. And adding in the tropey characters and plot lines doesn’t help. It’s just lazy writing when these major issues are underdeveloped.

Oh yeah! And that was a pretty monumental moment for him. Maybe we will get more in the next few episodes, but I doubt it…. I’m insecure because things between Nine and Daonuea are going too well. I’m waiting for either or both to screw it up.

I love this theory that he enjoys watching. It just seems so out of character for Nine. He was so committed to Praew, and understandably hurt that she cheated. I don’t know if I want them to come back because it was so out of place. It’s like they threw in that scene to add more controversy, but it was more confusing.

I would not be surprised if that were the case. It was such an odd scene.

Case 9 and 10 are my favorite because I love cases where there is a vague line between law and humanity. In both cases, it was incredibly difficult for me not to empathize with the perpetrators… The writing of both the perpetrator and the victims had me going back and forth on whether or not the perpetrators should be charged with a crime. For me, intention and results should be considered when sentencing. Just because you may have had a good intention doesn’t mean the results reflect those good intentions and Vice versa. I did think the ending of 10 is exactly what you’d expect in those situations regardless because there will always be a question of whether she can consent.

I could have misinterpreted a scheduled rendezvous as prostitution, when it was simply Nine trying to really figure out if he liked men or not.

There was a scene in the first few episodes where Plustor pronpiphat (home wrecker from Friend Zone), brings a young man to Nine’s house. Nine and that young man got to 2nd base when Nine decides he couldn’t do it. Plustor seemed like the pimp as he looked on with pure joy, and later disappointment an confusion when Nine bolted.

I want to give a shout out to all of us out there who have come this far. The journey with Daonuea and Nine hasn’t been easy, but we’re almost home. We’ve made it through the cheating, the temper tantrums, the useless characters, the cheating, the prostitution, the scheming, the indecisiveness, the emotional breakdowns, and did I mention the cheating….

I’m not exactly sure where the rest of this show is going, but we should give ourselves a pat on the back for giving this show the attention it deserves. See you at the finale Friends!

I kinda like that the normal drama between the leads that occurs in the penultimate episode happened at the half mark. Now I’m not quite sure what to expect from here…… I hope it’s not 5 and 1/2 episodes of wallowing. I don’t know if I can stomach a crying Benz that long.

He also admitted that he would have detonated the bombs if things didn’t go according to plan…. Ummmm it worries me that Kim is semi-okay with it.

Criminals justifying their criminal behavior by comparison. Ummmm…. Hello you are still committing a crime. Just because it may not seem as bad doesn’t make it any less of a crime.

I was asking myself who I wouldn’t mind seeing as Kamol and Kao Noppakao as Nubsib from Lovely Writer came to mind. I think he can pull this role off pretty well. Yoon is okay as an actor (prior to this role), but I didn’t picture him in this role. And he is just ok. I find myself laughing at some of the serious parts. He’s not delivering as strong as I was hoping.

Gun has a softer face, but he delivered in Playboy and the Gang of Cherry. That was a terrible movie and script, but Gun held it down.

Hahahahahaha or maybe they’ll get drunk and Kaneda has to carry Yanase home on his back and undress him. NGL, there are some shows out there where I look forward to the sponge bath. Maybe RainShun from “Oh My Sunshine Night” or NineDaonuea from “Check Out.”

I don’t think I will ever understand when they make a HUGE deal over finger pricks. They turned Kaneda’s tiny cut into something so ferocious that Yanase had to suck the poison out? And could Kaneda not figure out how to operate a bandaid? It’s so commonplace that I don’t know whether to laugh hysterically or throw my hands up in the air in exhaustion.

Facts!!! I definitely love Semantic Error wasn’t trying to be super deep. There is something about pure attraction that is all too real. I want more of ParkLee from My Secret Love. Love at first sight and 7 years later…….

This only works if the meeting is of substance. In the Kdrama Her Private Life, the ML was found in a park by the FL’s mother. She brought the boy home, but had to drop him off at a foster home because she could not afford to feed another person. They are children at this time (6-8), so they would not have remembered each other on looks alone. Of course the ML and the FL meet decades later, fall in love, and it is revealed their past connection.

That storyline fits so well as a fated lovers story, but his one is not convincing. Although, I prefer a deeper connection than a angle meeting.

I rewatched that scene, and I didn’t notice Mangkorn pull Ashing down because I was so enthralled with their chests. Easy mistake. The kiss was just so damn sweet.

Preach! BounPrem works when they have a 30 minute story line spread across 17 hours, and unfortunately esthetics does not equal talent. But I have seen some talented actors perform well in really shitty stories, so I don’t know if I can place 100% of this on the writers. Playboy and the Gang of Cherry was awful, but Gun still delivered.
