I am trying to think of a show where I didn’t like the side couples better than the main, and I know they exist. Maybe it’s because we get so few moments?? I live for Park and Lee. There is just something so damn authentic and charming about their relationship, that I get butterflies. Now I’m just waiting for episode 11 where everyone has some sort of misunderstanding, or over inflated sense of selflessness and break up, so I’m trying to get as much sugar as I can.

My biggest issue with MSL is the premise of them creating BL content to force them to get close and start to like each other. It kinda goes back to the original concept of BL, but we didn’t know if both of them were straight to begin with, so that argument falls flat. They could have fallen for each other while creating the SCOTUS music video or through Mek’s various pranks . The BL content was a bit too forced and it dries t work for me given the nature of the show. Maybe I would have liked it better if they weren’t threatened into making the content for the Chancellor’s personal pleasure. Or I could be overthinking it.

Of course I was so curious, I searched the web and found this information. Scroll down and read the comments because someone is giving updates on how it changed from “Secret Admirer” to “My Secret Love.” They kept the character names, but changed the plot along with the cast changes.

Do you have a link? I vaguely remember that same title, but the page was changed to My Secret Love and some cast changed…… I could definitely be wrong, and they are two different shows like you allude to above.

You are after my own heart. It took me a moment to recognize Lee from “Call It What You Want” because I could barely get through it, but I liked his character. I am in love with that couple. Especially after Lee’s confession of feeling jealous of Park. How beautiful was that. No break-up or anger, just pure love and adoration. The amount of support Park gives Lee gives me butterflies!

I’m pretty sure my relationship is toxic every other week. I mean, we are human and we experience real emotions. I wish I could turn the other cheek at every waking moment, but then my life would be sooooooooo boring. Sometimes I like to be mean and argue, and other times I Am drained just being in their presence. But 14 years and we’re still hanging in there. I suppose I’m a toxic lover!

I’m in the middle too. I like it for some of the reasons you noted above, and disliked it for some of those same reasons.as I am consideringWTF did I just watch, it he show just wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. My biggest let down is I definitely wanted a bit more mafia, but it’s also a romance, so I get it. I have decided that I don’t know the meaning of “toxic” anymore. Which BL couples don’t have a “toxic” relationship? I have seen it plastered across many a MDL page,Everyone throws that word around to describe so many couples, and it has such a negative connotation.

I really enjoy watching dark BLs, and the characters in this one seemed like real humans with authentic reactions to situations. I felt like their choices reflected what your average person would do in that same situation. Now obviously these are not average people given their job, but even if I didn’t like their choices, oftentimes the choice fit the circumstances. As odd as Vegas and Pete’s relationship is, I understand how Pete fell in love with Vegas. I don’t love it, but I understand.

Hahahahaha this entire finale was just not doing it for me. The way they are writing these characters that make no logical sense. There are so many conflicts out there, they don’t need to make the characters stupid. Say if Prince told Fah he doesn’t want to contact him, I would completely understand. But it coming from Sincere? That’s just poor writing and it makes me feel the rest is a waste of time.

And it would be one thing if Fah has always been selfless and subservient. I could understand him not looking for Prince. But gosh when it actually matters he decides he has changed? All Fah had to do is the bare minimal of searching and could have found him.

I am going to leave it to Love Mechanics for my BL fix. At least I can understand where both Mark and Vee are coming from in their twisted sorta love triangle. I get why Vee is stuck on his girlfriend and why Mark can’t let Vee go despite knowing he has a girlfriend. Their situation an reactions are realistic and their acting is on point. If there is one thing I can not get over is when they write characters that have no depth.

The sarcasm is just eating me alive. I mean Sincere told the village chief that Fah can’t know where Prince is. And of course the Chief listened because Sincere is the Executive Chief. And how was Fah supposed to find Prince??? It’s not like Fah has ever met Prince’s parents or been to his house. It’s also not like they worked in the same village for months and anyone from the village would know how to get in touch with Prince.

And wishing death on a chapter is just plain mean. I mean if Prince had died of Malaria, how would we have gotten our happy ending? It would have been so much better if he got back together with Sincere. If it weren’t for Sincere, Prince would have died because no one else could have taken him to the hospital. This was by far the best finale I have ever seen in a short series like this. Everything was written and acted to perfection. Even the band that served no purpose was a nice touch!

Ugh right. And the whole “Sincere told me not to tell you where Prince is” nonsense. Who the hell is Sincere to make any decision for anyone? Is Prince not an adult who can decide who he wants to see and when? That is such an annoying character quality.

I am looking forward to a chapter who doesn’t think themselves noble for sacrificing their needs for someone else. It’s becoming so overrated.

Because it’s our gift! It makes sense in our heads, so we support the mess. No shame here.

So we’re just gonna ignore that part hahaha. I’m just happy I didn’t cringe, although I did during the tiger scene. I mean come on…. Kim didn’t see a big white tiger pounce in his peripheral??? And he waited until Kit was punched before speaking up. I kinda laughed at that.

With all the negative comments on MDL, viewership on YouTube has been +1M each week. Does this mean MDL users are blind or BL fans are BL depraved?

I wonder do they have a choice in accepting roles or do they get pushed into these roles as fan service? I’m sure there are those dedicated fans who love them in everything they do regardless. I will never understand that type of fandom. There are not many pairings like MaxTul and OffGun who can have multiple shows received well by netizens.

We are talking BounPrem so there will be no spice lol there will probably be a fight scene though. Maybe someone will get stabbed. I highly doubt they can do anything to spice up this…. this… are we calling it a show?

I’m becoming more and more disappointed with how the entertainment companies are handling BL pairings. The fans love them together, so it feels like they are just throwing them into shows to satisfy the fans. BounPrem performed well together in UWMA, but I wonder if it’s because they had such small screen time? Now that I see them in this, I don’t really feel anything from their performance. Is it due to the writing? I haven’t actually felt anything great from them since UWMA. BounPrem is starting to remind me of KimmonCopter pairing. KimCop are thrown into shows as fan service and nothing happens between them. And I’m not talking about PDA. Their relationships are consistently stagnant, and they play the same 2Moons characters in every show they do. This is one major reason that despite the consistent pairings, I also love when they switch it up. I loved SaintPerth in LBC, but I can’t imagine WRU without ZeeSaint (they had better chemistry). Some couples are aesthetically pleasing together, but don’t have any real performance chemistry.

I will give the benefit of doubt because everyone worked hard from the writers to the crew. They still had to dedicate hours to production regardless of netizen feedback. And we can be pretty brutal.

I will fully admit that I got a bit excited because I thought they were going to have a threesome with Plustor. I mean how can he just sit and watch Nine without wanting to taste a bit of that?

Then it turned into major disappointment. I think I’m going to keep watching though because something good is going to happen…. I can feel it…
