The only reason I could see them falling so quickly is so their love will be the reason they are able to go back to their universe. (Although right now I think it’s physical attraction, but that can change soon.) I have a feeling one is not going to want to go back to a life where they had no life. They are going to want to stay in this universe where they feel they have more freedom and control.

The castings are so frustrating. Whenever I learn that real gay, lesbian, trans etc. actors are cast, it makes me so happy. Do you remember the time when white actors were cast to play Asian and Hispanic? I am grateful for technology and netizen culture because the universe listens. I struggle with this a lot. TV is created for entertainment, so I want things to be in a perfect world where the idea of “coming out” disappears. On the other hand, it is a real issue in our societies, even in 2022.

I want the best of both worlds where I can have the perfect couples who love who they love, the society embraces it, and they can have a happy ending. I also want to see stories depict the true struggle of being gay in a society where it is condemned. These focus so much on the gay male because it is what sells right now. I like they are even making more stories with lesbian and transgender representation. I am curious to see how those show ratings will fare….

My spouse is 12 years older than me, and we have gone through our fair share of struggles within our age gap. We have heard the retired phrase “age is nothing but a number” so many times I’d be rich if I can count. I will try Love Class and see where it takes me.

All the shows you mentioned have moments where characters are alone and the writers can capitalize on the intimacy. I think kissing is a huge part of intimacy and the shows are extreme. Your list above shows the cute light ones or the ones like Mood Indigo which is borderline porn hahaha

Two people can be in two places. Race, class, gender, age among other things are reasons that two people can be in different places. For Akira, age doesn’t matter. This is not my opinion, but something Akira has said directly. When I said “age has nothing to do with this” in a prior comment, it was regarding age of consent. As you pointed out it is different in Japan. Age has everything to do with why Akira is so hesitant with Shin.

It is perfectly fine if Shin wants to continue to chase Akira. Akira enjoys the attention and the company, and Shin is opening Amira’s eyes to a love Akira has never experienced.

I think you are missing the point here. No one is saying that their age is the death of a relationship. But it is a factor for Akira.
