This disaster movie is more sci-fi than disaster, as we see a mother's love for her child overcome every obstacle. Kim Da-mi is fantastic in the film and makes us root for An-na throughout. I did find the sci-fi elements to be a bit much, but it's enjoyable for a one-time thing, especially if you like these confusing, cerebral films.
The Price of Confession is Netflix's newest crime thriller K-drama, whose 12-episode runtime is an indicator that it's quite slow. The slow burn twists and turns are interesting until every character starts to feel annoying to a crazy degree. Most of the characters feel immature, and although the point of it was to showcase greyer shades in people, I found the series to be very unbearable sometimes.
Personally, a shorter runtime would've been more impactful, so this felt like nails on a chalkboard for me. Performances are phenomenal, though, and the series looks fantastic, so there's that. But I didn't find myself hooked throughout the story.

Please don't come at me saying that you loved it. I am genuinely glad that you did. After 12 episodes, we all deserve to love what we watch!)
Another enjoyable season for The Believers, and I must say that it's been an enjoyable ride. The storyline is equally gritty and highlights some interesting and corrupt parts of life. However, I think the bigger scope for the series has also given way to some over-the-top situations that are just not believable. It's unnecessary, but still enjoyable.
Enjoyed watching The Manipulated. Although generic, I found the action and the performances to be great enough to be thoroughly entertaining, and the storyline packs enough punches to keep you hooked. I think this would be better if you watch it in one go, but either way, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Except for some lull periods, this one's a solid revenge thriller, and Ji Chang-wook is always a great bet!
I was thinking that this would be a thriller, but it turned out to be more romantic and warm than I expected. Had I Not Seen the Sun is a dark and brooding story about love and friendship that spans decades. Despite the length, it totally holds your attention throughout its runtime and keeps you going from one episode to the next. With fantastic performances, the drama is for everyone who loves to watch something mysterious with an emotional core and will not disappoint.
I am confused – is Ha-gyeong blaming Do-ha for Do-yeong's death? Or is she just angry about the lying, because that makes sense to me, too. I don't understand why Do-ha is forcing a relationship with Ha-gyeong... it seems so creepy and disturbing. Her path forward is for her to choose. I don't get why he's forcing his own way on her. Like, I get that he probably wants her to face the past and accept it, but maybe she doesn't want that, and that's ok too. She will get there on her own time. I am now annoyed at everyone.
Ha-gyeong is really annoying, and the series is very confusing as they are not giving any context. For once, I might drop this one if it doesn't improve.
As You Stood By is absolutely terrifying, and it's so relatable that it leaves you feeling nothing but dread. The series looks at domestic abuse from different perspectives, which makes it all the more helpless. With fantastic performances, especially from Lee Yoo-mi, this one is not for the weak-hearted.
Also, this isn't for everyone, so if you don't like depressing stories about abuse and the darker side of things, then it's best to give this one a skip!
What a fantastic thriller. Kim Yoo-jung is simply fantastic, and I somehow support a manipulative psychopath with all my heart. Regardless, this one's definitely a must-watch, at least till now.
I am confused. Was Su-yeon really manipulating Min-cheol, or was it just a ploy to make the chemical factory fire…
Why is this series a soft fade? Episode 12 is so mellow and underwhelming. Of all the times this show decided not to be melodramatic, it's in the finale?! I can't.

Also, Dol needs to catch a break at this point.
