Apparently seen spoilers saying his company will go near bankrupts and his reputation will be really bad, mean while FL and her mother will be super successful. In the novel this didn't happen but seen spoiler it was added to the drama.
I may hate someone but I can also realize when they're god damn smart and self aware. Fake daughter's mother/FL's father's first love is pretty self-aware and smart. When she said FL's father rode on the coattails of FL's mother to be successful and that she knows her self worth, she knows if he was with her from the start he might not have made I rich. God damn she's so hate-able and a gold digger but also pretty damn self aware, hate to admit it but she's pretty smart, don't get me wrong I hate her, but somehow also respect her just a tiny bit.
On the flip side, FL's father is as dumb as a pile of rocks.
Yeh exactly, it'll be explained better with the letter in ep 23 but he worked at the main HQ but moved to Suzhou and the same company as her because he found out she was working there

Pretty much, next ep he will take some time off for work as he needs to digest everything that happened. He will write FL a letter, in it he will tell her about how he fell for her, the first time he saw her, and how he moved jobs to be close to her and how he held a grudge, all his past emotions pretty much. It's after reading that letter FL will be moved even more and call ML and asks him to meet her in wuxi, she will ask him to walk the plum blossoms together like he initially thought they would and its where they will become official. So the letter lets FL truly know how long ML has liked her and all that stuff, its a really emotional letter but also sad as ML talks about how he misunderstood her and his grudge and all that also.
After the misunderstanding was cleared, it was so sad how ML couldn't even face FL. Whole drive home and when he dropped her off, never once looked at her, I feel so sad for him, he feels so guilty. Help such a deep grudge for so long and on the wrong person the whole time.
Lowkey maybe just me, but honestly doesn't have much to be guilty for, at most he just gave her extra work and made her work over time which honestly isn't too bad and lets be real, most newbies at a new job get extra work anyway. Tomorrow ep 23 with the letter going to be rough but at least we know ep 24 will be full of happiness.
In ep 22 when FL's father says you are my biological daughter, and FL comes right back with my mum has legal custody of me, damn that was a burn. FL can be really lethal when she wants to be and I love it
Adding to my comment before about how Gu man as screen writer and original author made some enchantments to the drama compared to the novel. Although it hasn't happened yet, you can see in the ep 26 preview, as FL approaches ML after he was disrespected by the trashy heir/cousin and some people were talking bad about ML, FL's uncle looks on with a smile, looking proud of FL.
In the novel, FL's family didn't know FL was with ML or he was chasing her yet, so in the novel uncle was shocked that FL approached ML at the party and was a little hesitant with worry about how ML's status in his family might effect FL and was a little against FL being with ML. I really like the change of seeing uncle here looking proudly and smiling as FL approaches ML regardless of the gossip. This again builds of the ski arc and shows how some slight changes have been made to enhance the drama compared to the novel, while still keeping the major plot points.

I agree completely, so often when the cdrama changes stuff from the novel it gets worse and the changes make the drama feel like something completely different. But not here, the drama enhances the novel and makes improvements without changing too much, you explained it really well.
