Novel wise they never removed it I don't think but he like merged with it full, so he was in control, kind of like became one with it type thing, I think thats how I remember it. So whether they remove it or not, not sure in the drama. Will be interesting to see how everything plays out once he's back to his old self though. Plus we still got the psycho empress to deal with.

As of now not much has been announced regarding historical/wuxia/xinxia. However Cheng Lei’s next drama Zu Ji, a republic era and 90’s drama is scheduled on tencent and iQIYI for the 4th. Besides that nothing else has been announced but more to come soon probably.

I think the second clip may be real, as in the ep 35 preview he does take her back to Changxi palace, so she is there. Whether that particular scene is in included, we'll wait and see but I hope it is
