Yeh the novel is a slice of life novel more than anything. No real angst at all, and absolutely no misunderstandings relationship wise. It's a nice easy read, more cute moments and sweetness, even the few demon cases aren't that dangerous, you never worry that they will be fine.

Yeh WZS definitely suspicious, FL's illness definitely something to do with him, and divorce definitely won't work like you said, I can't wait till he realizes no matter what he does, FL will never be his.
The scene of divorce happens after they find out each others identities. He mentions in the spoiler clip they have resolved the misunderstandings of the past and changxi palace and demon market have entered into an alliance. They know their identities. I think she wants to divorce as WZS tells her she's dying and needs to become a demon (he is probably lying), so she says she wants to divorce so he can move on without her when she supposedly needs to change body and seclude for 100 years, noble idiocy type thing, but just guessing. But they find out their identities in ep 29, divorce talk in ep 30.
Same, it shows in ep 31 preview even after divorce talks he still is not letting her go, referring to her as wife and all that, and there was a mdl photo someone posted in that section that shows like major relationship milestones, ep 24 was marriage, ep 29 was Cold War, and there's another one coming at ep 32, so I'm hoping thats a reconciliation
No, at the end of ep 27, she sees ML with a relatives kid and imagines herself having a family with him and so snake lord tells WZS that for now, FL decided to put the matter aside and wants to think about it pretty much. For now she's happy being half demon. I'm guessing here, but I think the reasons she mentions divorce is because she knows she needs to become a full demon (idk if WZS is trustworthy, I reckon he's lying about her illness but thats a guess), and so FL goes the noble idiocy route where she wants to break up with ML so he can move on and forget her when she becomes a full demon which involves seclusion for 100 years. Just a guess though.

A little bit yeh, it starts with him spying on ML and FL kissing which is creepy. Then he tells FL he has a way for her to become a demon because she's sick. But his way is for her to get a new body and seclude herself for 100 years, pretty much never seeing ML again. He doesn't tell her but she finds out and when she confronts him, he tells her so what, she is a demon not a human, she cares about too many people like her family and ML and she should have never cared about them in the first place. Also he comes back on another night trying to get FL to leave her bed and ML and see him again, but ML grabs her and says don't go and she stays with him. Just being a dick the whole time pretty much.
