Yeh I'm surprised as well but I think because ARP wasn't really big before moonlight mystique, he really took of this year and Landi is really established but doesn't have a big fanbase more just a committed smaller fanbase in china, idk mostly guessing but I'm glad it did do well really enjoyed it (I do agree would have been nice to see them on the throne). I'm hoping the same happens here honestly getting close to 8k heat index on the third day with Moonlit reunion and WDBTD as competition, not to mention the massive thriving land on iqiyi as well, it's not bad.

Hahah probably, the costumer designers definitely know what they're doing with Cheng lei in this drama, and for sure did a bunch of push ups, even his veins on his arms sticking out 😂Man's been shirtless in like 8 episodes more then any other drama I've seen him in combined 😂No ones complaining though continue on

Yeh not or sure, just had two big hits that they put a lot of promotion in (especially coroner's diary was unexpected so they amped up promotions mid way through) , and journey of legend airing after this also really hyped and will have a lot of promotion as the reservations are already very high. It's unfortunate, this kind of got stuck in the middle. Deserves more attention.

I think in China right now, iqiyi doesn't view this as a big budget hit for them. It's an a+ or S budget drama (can't remember which I remember reading it a while ago but can't remember for sure), so less promotion overall. They just had big hits of feud and coroners diary and journey of legend coming up next which is really hyped, so I believe this drama is seen as more just to fill time (not in like a bad way just dunno how else to say) so hasn't got as much promotion as the bigger dramas they see as hits. Which sucks cause I really like it. Also respectfully, Song Yi and Cheng Lei aren't seen as big, big stars yet in china, thats no hate btw I love them both, big fan of both but they're not seen as big stars that can carry a drama yet in china. So just less promotion overall unfrutantely, they're putting promotion elsewhere.

Man I said it before in the comments earlier today but I feel the need to say it again after watching today's episodes, especially that bow and arrow scene. Cheng Lei's forearms look so big. Idk how I haven't noticed before or if its cause in this drama his sleeves are rolled up a lot but they look god damn huge, so big I had to comment again about them 😂

Novel wise he remembers his identity late, and he returns to his old kingdom, also because FL is decreed to marry the new emperor (crown prince). When he remembers his old identity and the bond is broken he returns to his old personality of a cold and ruthless prince, but he can never fully forget their time together and eventually returns for her (when she fakes her death, he returns to get revenge). They end up running away together and living together without her status as a general or his as a prince.

Heat index right now 7909, not too great, but just started so to be expected really. Will increase as the drama goes on you would think. Views wise in china not much info as it just started, will have more info on how's its doing in china after a few days.

It's partly due to his recent scandal, but even before that the rating was really low. Certain actors have a lot of haters that down vote their dramas since day 1. I was shocked as well, you'll see some dramas are quite fair in ratings and comments are peaceful and respectful even with different opinions and such. But some dramas with particular actors have a lot of haters, so ratings will be very low and comments can be a bit toxic. It's annoying but just have to live with it.

I love how everyone at the palace is just jokes, the emperor, empress, consort Mei and even the eunuch that went to get MZY, he was pretty funny in his 10 second cameo. Love how they've left out any palace politics and everyone from the palace is pretty funny (besides the princess, her story was nice).

Drama aside for a second, that route ML walked on the way back to his hometown/Changxi palace in ep 21 is so so scenic, especially that pathway under the waterfall. Damn I wonder where that is in real life, so beautiful and picturesque.

Hahaha oh damn looking forward to it! I hadn't heard about this drama till recently so probably missed it. But now it seems he's revealed his identity as the silver haired savior, hope the kiss comes soon!

Haven't seen creation of the god so not sure about that, but from the preview also she definitely has that insane, crazy villain type aura
