Besides all this politics talk, we should be talking about how great Jun Ji Hyun is. She's stunning and her performances are always top notch. She disappears for like 4-5 years, returns, gives us one or two bangers then disappears again. Rumors of her and Ji Chang Wook being in a drama together (after their movie colony), I am praying it's true. Would be such a good pairing.
Its getting review bombed for mentioning Iraq I think, similar to how When the phone rings got review bombed for…
I agree, as far as I can tell, and someone mentioned this to me in reply to one of my comments, in ep 3 they mentioned Iraq briefly when discussion the bomb under her seat, this upset quite a few people. If you scroll down in the comments a bit you will see arguments regarding Iraq. In my opinion, the mention of Iraq in the show wasn't bad but I guess some people felt offended.
As far as I've been able to find in episode 3 the ML mentions he worked security in Iraq in 2007 and that he's…
Thanks for the info. Not to be offensive to anyone but that does sound like kind of a throw away line that doesn't mean much but I guess like you said, mentioning the Iraq war is a big no to people from Iraq or middle eastern countries. Hopefully, they make no more mention just so everyone can enjoy the drama together without any toxicity.
There's no denying it, Lee Chaemin totally shut down everyone who doubted him before the drama, myself included.…
He's great in this. Just my personal opinion but I think he's more suited to the role than Park Sung Hoon. Nothing against Park Sung Hoon, but not sure I can picture him in this role, I feel like he's more suited to the villain role. No doubt he could pull off the scenes where he needs to be intimidating, but would have felt weird to see him as the guy falling cutely in love with the FL. Just my opinion, maybe I'm too used to Park Sung Hoon as the villain but Lee Chae Min pulls off the role really well.
I might have missed it, but when exactly was Iraq mentioned and why are people taking offense? Why the review bombs? Not trying to be disrespectful, this is a genuine question, what was insulting/disrespectful when they mentioned Iraq?
Its getting review bombed for mentioning Iraq I think, similar to how When the phone rings got review bombed for their mention of Palestine and Israel just with different names
Damn I didn't even notice that, crazy work. I just know it had a budget of like 20 billion won, same as Vincenzo I saw an article said, and yet Vincenzo way better in every aspect. Idk where the budget went to in this besides the cast.
All I can say is Ma dong Seok and Park Hyung Sik probably got paid a boat load of money to sign on to this show even after reading the script. How they get one of Korea's biggest movie stars and the highest paid tv actor in Korea to star in this, I have no idea. 20 billion won budget, same as Vincenzo, and yet besides the cast, everything else looked low budget.
I love that this is giving vibes like the cdrama Reset, just with a lot more action and a seemingly smarter/more powerful opponent thats also knows about the time loop, really excited for this
Yeah its all good i agree with you on that... i also dont like it, but we also discuss all that for new viewers...…
This is actually very common, especially when it comes to actors/actresses with large fanbases and therefore, also a lot of haters. Legend of the female general, the ML and FL, don't have that large a fan base yet. In China also, they aren't considered that popular yet. No hate to either, I really like them both, just saying they're not that popular yet. Same with shows like coroners diary, good show that kept a high rating throughout and saw no mass downvotes as the actors themselves aren't that crazy popular. But with this drama and CY, also you see them with Xu Kai's drama's, As beautiful as you was downvoted to below a 7, like a 6.9 before going up. Also happens with some other actors and actresses. It's unfortunate, both toxic fan supporters and toxic haters just hurting each other.

Yunhe and kuyun post the daily viewership numbers every day, if interested on x this account posts the official charts daily https://x.com/cdramacharts
I think if there is quite a bit of disillusioned feedbacks it's because people had high expectations for the match…
Fair enough comment, I hope others don't attack you for it. Some people have to realize, just because you don't like a drama doesn't make you a hater. No drama is perfect and just because someone else might love a drama doesn't mean everyone else will. People can criticize a drama without being a hater, thats what the comments are for, discussion, not just blindness praise or also blindness hate. Everyone can have their opinion, just be respectful like your comment is.
Btw just for those interested, Journey of Legend set another 2025 record with 28m premiere views on yunhe, the highest among all 2025 dramas. Debuted #1 on Yunhe and Kuyun daily charts. For those that don't know, yunhe is one of the most used and trusted measures of a shows success in China (alongside heat index and advertisement numbers), as it demonstrates the daily views a show gets, among other things, which is pretty much all that the producers, actors, studios etc care about mainly (alongside a couple other measures of course).
Popularity on social media and stuff is great, but at the end of the day in China, the studios and actors etc mainly care about the viewership, heat and advertisements, when it comes to measuring a shows success. Obviously, still a long way to go, but this is a very impressive debut, as it has already set a number of 2025 records, and hope it continues.
I know people say don't worry about data and stuff, but I find it interesting. It doesn't affect whether I am going to watch a drama or not, for instance twelve letters didn't have great numbers but I absolutely loved it. So I'll watch a drama regardless of its data, but I just find looking at the data interesting and letting people know for those that are also interested.
