I think WCS maybe has some sort of split personality due to the fire 18 years ago, it was said the person that caused it burned to death so maybe a part of him got destroyed during that fire and fight with the previous cats master but slowly remembering, or maybe he is just possessed. I agree, whole lot of evil, WCS, the big brother, the rat dude (I wish they killed him honestly, I know didn't want her to be a murderer, show her as sympathetic and that living weakly was a worst punishment, but just to get rid of future troubles), also I'm a little sus about the prison door we saw, like is it really empty, I feel like somethings inside, maybe the hole he pours stuff into. But yeh as we pass half way we need to focus on becoming clearer who is the real threat, cause we have guesses but still not sure. AndI agree it will be a combo fighting together, like humans and demons coming together to fight evil, then in the future living together peacefully alongside each other type thing.

Such a bizarre way to release episodes just in like two massive halves, like Netflix do sometimes, weird

Thanks for letting me know, had another read. I agree, I hope we see ML get back at him, I also think he's involved, I think the evil smoke connects to WZS somehow, and thus ML's big brother also somehow connected to WZS and 18 years ago. For some reason though I feel like the show is setting up this big brother as the second villain and is setting up for Shuang Jiang to take him down from within the sect, cause tbh Shuang Jiang has done nothing at all this whole show. For a junior brother from the Changxi palace as well, he has to do something, been pretty useless so far. So even though I hope ML takes him on, I think he's being set up for Shuang Jiang to take down, and WZS will be taken down by ML and FL as the main villain.

I agree, his lips and like jaw is the same, I recognize the actor but can't remember his name, what was it again? I feel like also in the upcoming episodes we see ML being taken back to his sect to be punished and kicked out, I think his big brother wants this, probably fears ML's powers a bit, wants him out of the sect without its support, then can frame him as like a demon sympathizer type thing if he needs to

Yeh, they strike a new balance with FL's outfits, and good point with ML, he has different outfits that fit his personalities, good point.

Yeh I agree with Yang Zi's look, I think it was a mix of her and her character being younger, and the older type of styling in modern cdramas, definitely much better now, especially when she plays more grown up characters. Flourished peony definitely worth checking out, better now since you waited you can watch both seasons, don't have to sit through an open ending waiting for next season.

100% they made him look supernatural and mythical without going too over the top and making it look tacky or silly, its well done. And yeh Li Shuang has a lot of nice little details in her outfit.

Yeh Liu Yifei is great, I watched meet yourself first which led me to dream of splendor. I really like Li Xian, did you not watch the original go go squid? I haven't watched the 2nd one, just the original. Also he's in flourished peony and the sequel which is very good (first season better than second though). Li Xian with Yang zi reunite in flourished peony after go go squid. But yeh him and liu yifei are great in meet yourself, nice slice of life which develops into a romance between them.

If you haven't watched it familiar stranger with him is great, I normally don't watch any shorter dramas, not my thing, but familiar stranger is so good. Was his break out role before MJTY.

I wanna take time to appreciate the costume designs and outfits, especially with the FL. What she normally wears isn't completely feminine like the other women in the drama(not including her soldiers), but also not fully masculine. It's a nice blend of feminine with the colors and patterns on her clothing but also has like a militaristic/combat type look. Her top she normally wears at home kind of reminds me of a karate gi, just with more patterns and color, which is nice. Anyway, I really like it, suits her status and vibe as a general. I saw the costumer designer for this drama has done a lot of other good dramas, they know what they're doing. Plus, the black armor ML has when he transforms looks badass as well.

No problem, for slice of life dramas it set the standard for me, Li Xian and Liu Yifei so good together.

Yeh it was, ending fit the overall vibe of the drama. Early eps were so good, such a great cast overall. The relationship between FL, bro and sister was good and sweet, same with Ml and his grandma.

All good, yeh definitely emotional a roller coaster, pretty depressing at times ngl deals with depressing themes but still romantic and uplifting at other times. If you haven't watched it already I highly recommend meet yourself, one of the best slice of life dramas in my opinion, the first episode is very emotional, but second episode onwards it becomes a very nice slice of life/healing drama. Very good, just gotta get past the first ep, but the first ep does set things up. Very nice slice of life drama, with a beautiful setting and great cast.

100%, was good, but emotional, wish we got a bit more happiness at the end but the chemistry between ML and FL was really good
