Definitely don't think he's an average ML, everyone has their own opinions though. He's finally getting his chance to shine thats all, and lets all remember we're not even half way yet, just under, so I'm sure he'll have many more chances to shine, he's definitely not an average ml in my opinion.

The ending fight in ep 17 was badass when MZY takes on all the evil spirits or whatever they are by himself, first glimpse of MZY's sword, love to see it. Choreo was so nice as always. Ngl those evil spirits or whatever they were reminded me so much of dementors from Harry Potter, MZY was like a taoist Harry Potter 😂

In the novel he is in love with/obsessed with FL. He once proposed marriage but FL's father rejected it. He comes back to try and kill ML/steal FL from him. However, he gets rejected my FL and forced to leave the city. Eventually returns later to get some revenge/play a little prank. Nothing major, he's evil but not that big of a problem in the novel.

I agree with the torture scene, I'm hoping maybe its some kind of act where he's not hitting her that hard and just putting on an act for those watching(probs not as there's a lot of blood but I'm hoping), looking forward to seeing what you think this afternoon.

Definitely agree with what you, director did a good job, you can see he carried over some of the similar shots from 'the double' which he directed as well. Has a cinema type quality to how it's shot.

I agree, honestly the cgi could have come off as tacky or really bad if it wasn't done so well, they really nailed the cgi, movie quality cgi. Plus, if you look in the cast/crew section, the costume designer has a really, really good resume so no wonder everybody looks so good, the costumer are just flawless.

What was explained above by @whoissilmoy is from the novel not the drama, not sure if drama will be the same or not.I think just a mix up with the comment, drama may follow the novel or do something different, hasn't happened yet.

I read the novel, only like 50 chapters, super small so drama will be different but I can guess a little of what will happen. As for the villain, I don't think he's the ultimate villain, I know what you mean, he's a bit too comedic and over the top. I think because he's introduced in ep 1, I get the feeling someone else will become the 'true' villain. The episodes do have a bit of humor sprinkled in which I liked, wasn't over the top, was nice. There will definitely be third wheels unfortunately, maybe more than one. The FL's subordinate clearly has feelings for her, very obvious in the few eps, even rejects a girl because of it. As for if it goes full blown third wheel, we'll have to wait and see, so far just a secret crush. In the novel, Sima Yang, the prince of FL's empire, also has a crush on FL, as they grew up together as children. In the novel he even decrees to marry her when he becomes emperor. Not sure if this will happen in the drama. I agree, supernatural tag would be nice. As for the prince memories and torture, he does remember everything, already there's glimpses/flashbacks of his memory coming back. In the novel it's explained, he is absolutely loyal to FL because he drank her blood therefore she's his master. But once that connection is broken, he goes back to his old self, which is the merciless and genius war god/prince of the empire opposing FL. But the memories of their time together still remain and he can't forget her, eventually running away together with her. He can get hurt, but he has super healing, especially when around FL (there's a scene where his wound heals when Fl touches it, so drinking her blood and coming into contact with her, help heal him). A bunch of spoilers but I know from our previous discussion you don't mind spoilers so mentioned what I can

Dilraba seems pretty commonly rumored as the FL, but ML seems to be changing a lot but we'll see what happens.

Both, amnesia and vampire prince (same person gains amnesia due to being turned into a vampire), it's fast paced and we're thrown right in the middle. Essentially, we start off with the Concubine of the emperor of the country the ML is from doing some ritual with an evil master, turning people into vampires with super powers and controlling them (once they are turned, the person's whose blood they drink first, becomes their master). They are about to do it to the emperor but the ML saves him at the last minute. Theres a fight, ML is defeated and knocked into the blood pool which transforms people. He then comes out, defeats the enemy but goes unconscious and falls off some kind of cliff (I know typical). This is where FL finds him, she is fighting and about to be defeated but some of her blood drips into the unconscious ML and he helps defeat the enemy. However, he has turned into a boy with no memory of his past but when he gets angry/when FL is in danger, he transforms into the black armored vampire supernatural being from the trailer. After an episode or two he turns back into his grown up self. However, with no memory of his past. This all happens in the first 1 or 2 episodes, so we are thrown right in the middle. Very fast paced. Essentially, the plot is ML has no memory, but relies on FL's blood, and when he is angry or in danger, he turns into his armored, supernatural self. FL knows ML is supernatural (not his armored vampire identity yet but that he has unique abilities) and they're investigating his origins. FL is unsure if he is a spy/to trust him, but slowly they are gaining feelings for each other, honestly their relationship is quite fast paced and cute, and was nice how they mostly shared their honest thoughts quite openly keeping minimal secrets (although still some). But main plot is investigating ML's origins/powers and recovering his memory, while ML's country (the evil master who turned him) is trying to recapture him to use him as a solider. Some other side plots is the war between FL and ML's country, and the concubine from ML's country takes over the throne. So far solid plot, but unsure where it's going to go from here because tbh it's really fast paced and they've done so much in 6 episodes I'm not sure where it goes. But its pretty interesting so far so I am looking forward to seeing where it goes. I will say, its very fast paced and can be a little hard to follow especially in ep 1 or 2 because they fit so much in, but slowly his powers/need for FL's blood get explained so give it time I think.

One thing I really appreciate so far is the pace of the main relationship. Doesn't take ages to get started, probs cause ML is really upfront, which I really appreciate. No time wasting, hope they keep the pace up.
