I finished the drama now and I have to say it is so underrated!
It indeed takes time for our leads to trust and love each other, because of the story female lead doesn't trust male lead easily and ML had to do a lot of things to gain her trust. But there are some good points in thing drama that makes it a must watch for romance watchers:
1. The whole drama FL and ML are husband and wife so no platonic or bland romance, there are a lot of skinship and intimate interactions.
2. Earlier episodes we have some hot kisses.
3. Later episodes FL changes into a super cute demoness and they have some private and uninterrupted time together like a real couple. It was really worth waiting for it.
4. ML is abusive at first, but after a while when he falls in love, it changes into manly and hot possessive (in a good way) love. He is super jealous :-)) I had been really tired of boyish and childlike male leads in historical cdramas.

I have finished this drama and I felt soo bad when the villain (brother of the lead boy) died it was soo sad that…
He was disgusting and pathetic during most of the drama.

Not bad just that need more pretty cloths. Wang Fei wearing the same dress from episode one.
Female dresses were quite revealing for a costume drama. Not a bad thing tho ;--)

who falls in love first?
I'm at episode 10 and it seems like ML fell in love first. But as far as I see, their relationship has a lot to progress and FL's love seems more sincere.

If so, none of the endings are happy.

Sometimes I laughed so much I ran out of breath. I'm looking for a romantic Korean drama with a similar sense…
laughter at waikiki is the most hilarious kdrama I have ever watched. For the first 7, 8 episodes, from the first second of the first episode I was laughing my ass off continuously. Really recommend it for it's comedy. It is one of a kind.

Person Li Mu Ge
And also the director of goodbye my princess. His works are all high quality. Both Peng Xiao Ran and Jing Tian…
It is a very sad drama, but the production and story is superb. Both leads played their roles very well.

Most of Chinese dramas have bullshit endings. I don't know why people are so angry about the ending of this drama. The ending was bad, but the whole drama was very exciting and emotional. The romance was funny and sentimental at the same time. I remember crying at some of the scenes, especially when he was behind the door talking to her to persuade her to see meet him again.
Even the ending was very overwhelming and I was very emotional at the ending scene.
I definitely prefer this adaptation to Moon Lovers.

Title Marry Me
Nope. Dropped after ep 2.. or 3.. I don't remember. I just don't feel it. No chemistry. Plot was weak. No depth…
How do you find depth or chemistry in characters by watching only 2 episodes?

And also the director of goodbye my princess. His works are all high quality. Both Peng Xiao Ran and Jing Tian got their well-deserved recognition because of his dramas.

Title The Princess Wei Young Spoiler
I dont know if this count as a spoiler or not, so im gonna put spoiler tag here. Even tho the drama has a sad…
Even the ending wasn't that much sad imo. They lived a decent 5 year joyful life together at the end. I mean in real life, the most enjoyable period of life for couples is usually the first years, and they had that.

The breakups are so serious and heartbreaking in this drama. Main leads have a very good chemistry and both played their roles very well. But the breakups are still very painful whenever I think about them.

I think they want to give them the option of creating a sequel in case they have spectacular ratings, hence the…
Like you said, you still can make a sequel even without an open ending. The open ending not only doesn't encourage people to watch the next season, but also prevents them to try the first one, because no one knows whether there would be a next season or not.
Also, you can make a sequel by thinking again! They probably want a free extra drama without even thinking and taking time into it.
