Just kinda confused as to why all the midwifery ppl and servants suddenly jumped back and called the ML a monster as soon as the ML’s mother gave birth. Yes it was a difficult labour and caused the mother’s death. But what led to everyone calling him a monster? Was it because he didn’t cry? The camera seem to have zoomed in on the blood?
As much I want a second season with a happy ending, I can understand if the drama leaves it at that. I feel like the drama has gone in a full circle with the ML and FL returning to those respective worlds and role. From the start we knew that the ML had to take on the role of the sword wielder. He has to take on the responsibility protecting the gong residence, the infinity fire, and the ppl of the valley. The FL is someone who will who put her family and others (including the safety of the gong residence) above herself. Although she initially wanted freedom, she chose to stay because of her love for ML- she wanted to help them in the battle against Wu Feng. However, even after the brief “victory”, she realises that she cannot safely stay there forever knowing that Fu Weng is still out there. It is only a matter of time before Wu Feng rejuvenates and sends another batch of ppl in. Prehaps finding out that she has a twin is what affirmed her decision to leave. She knew that she might not be able to make it back. She knows that this is a lonesome journey that she must be complete on her own. She is smart enough to know that danger is still lurking and yet, still made the choice to put herself out there without even bringing guards from the palace. We do not know what kind of plan Wu Feng has for the FL and her twin, but this is the FL’s fate, one that she cannot escape until Wu Feng is truely banished (which is very unlikely- Wu Feng is wayy too big and there are too many hidden sects to completely defeat them. It’s likely that even if the chief is defeated, in another 10 years there will be another one that has revived Wu Feng). The most confronting thing about this ending is that ML accepts that she will not come back. The ML has always believed that the FL would leave him one day, he was never confident with their relationship. He was born to be confined behind the walls while she belonged to the Jiang Hu. He believes that she has chosen freedom and he does not blame her because he doesn’t want her to be entrapped and live a depressing life like his mother and Lady Wu Ji. His words to the FL are his greatest form of love, so much love for a person yet he knows that this person may be unable to reciprocate his feelings. In reality, FL didn’t choose freedom, she chose to fight her own battles without bringing down the gong residence with her. Prehaps if the ML chose to act selfishly for once and not let her go, then their relationship could have been protected from the cruel world but then it would be at the expense of the ppl beyond the valley. What lies behind those doors in the final moments is most definitely not the FL returning, it’s either no one important or a new character that will represent a much darker conspiracy stirring up in the gong residence. The CP is almost destined to be apart because of their identity and selfless nature that puts them in disadvantage against the greater evil. This battle will go on for generations, prehaps, by then the name Yun Wei Shan would have been forgotten and only the future elders will know a little.
I finished this drama thinking that Young Master Xue and Young Master Yue were the same person until the end LOL. I finally noticed the difference in the hair colour and that one died.
Also completely skipped ep18 by accident. (This ep revealed the grand plan between GZY and GSJ)

But tbh I think Shang Jue is right about Lady Wu Ji. His evidence was pretty on point and from what us viewers have seen, she is definitely someone from Wu Feng if not Wu Ming exactly.
Gosh there are so many ppl screaming at the others about spoilers tags. Calm down. Most of these are theories anyways. No one knows for sure particularly since the author is the same as the director, the ending is still unknown. No one has ruined the drama for u. Plus even when these ppl did put spoiler tags, they will still complain about their other comments. (and it was probs the most obvious thing ever LOL)
It’s a speculation from fans (the scene when the Princess is holding Jin Fan in her arms on the battle field) I saw a YouTube video about it as well. I think his death will be likely because it will be a turning point for GZY.
