I’m so impressed with the FL’s ability to create this whole other persona in front of the ML and the ML is absolutely falling for her. This is so entertaining to watch!
Idk why but when I first stumbled across this drama and just from synopsis, I had this idea in my head the story would be about how the enchantment spell used to conceal the beast city would be broken due to ML’s declining health, hence, the worlds collide and the main angst would be ML trying to protect the ppl of the beast city from the ppl in Da Xia who would try to capture them because they have an appearance of a “monster”.
Is it just me but in ep22 when Hai Tang threw the needle at Li Xiong and Qi Pa, Li Xiong deflected it and it suddenly turned into a knife when it flung back at Hai Tang and stabbed her??
Honestly kinda disappointed by the pacing of the storyline. Wished there was more romance :/ Rlly feels like slow burn at this point. Like I get that she has been kidnapped to a foreign country and is not attracted KML but like come on u would expect to see some romance by ep 10. Wish it was bit more like the dramas Sleepless Princess or the Romance of Hua Rong. Honestly, it’s not just the romance that’s kinda dead and one sided, it’s the fact there is almost no storyline. Barely any angst or action, kinda makes it hard to build that romantic connection I guess.
Not sure anyone else has mentioned this but the OST played at the start of each episode actually reasonates with the story from Kui Mu Lang’s perspective
For anyone wondering, although the writing wasn’t actually clearly shown (some of it was blurred and maybe the red writing against the purple paper made hard to read?), the writing on the purple star said Yi He University. I’m assuming it’s the one she wrote earlier in the drama where she wrote that her goal was to get into Yi He University and be with Duan Jia Xu. But then later she thought he had a gf and crossed out his name. Pretty sure it was the same star.
Anyone know why they released all the episodes today? I know usually there is a fast track option for VIP users to purchase, however, it usually would be written on the airring calendar. I think this was definitely a last minute decision! Interestingly I think the drama could have gained even more popularity if they stretched it out for one more week. Esp this thread ahah, probs a lot more comments if we were still waiting for another week LOL
Just out of curiosity, since most ppl here are probs frequent drama watchers, has anyone seen Crush (2021) with Wan Peng? I feel like this drama has very similar vibes to Crush. Don’t get me wrong, the plot is very different. I just mean the heartfelt emotions that arise from watching the drama and the whole aspect of first love are quite similar. And I think it’s the realistic portrayal of the characters. These vulnerable emotions that most of us have sustained in one way or another coming to life in a drama.
Someone please explain the Meaning of the Original Chinese name. and why it's used.. SECRETLY SECRETLY, UNABLE…
Not sure about the metaphoric meaning behind it but the Chinese title actually just directly translates to “secretly/stealthily” (偷偷) “can’t hide it” (藏不住). Probs similar meaning to the Drama’s English title “Hidden Love”. As in can’t hide my feelings?
ITS THE HAIRRR I can tell you right now it’s that damn hair style that’s so damn attractive. I have seen the ML in Our Secrect, he’s always been good looking but the hairstyle just makes it even better! Like the middle part and then a section of curtain hair covering one side of his forehead!! what is this hair style called, this has been my type in guys for years LOL
Do you. This is what Baidu explained about the OST : The ending theme song is called 《嘉宾》(Guest), written…
Yep no worries! Noticed it straight away because almost all the dramas I have ever watched always have their own OST lol. In fact there was a drama I watched over a year ago, and sometimes I still listen to one their OSTs cause it sounds so nice and very emotional ahah.
I find that usually the 3-5minutes mini episode dramas are the ones recycling popular Chinese songs.

Yes I am talking about the song 嘉宾 which is played frequently throughout the drama. It is a very popular Chinese song that was released in 2021! It’s got like 41 million views on YouTube and I have noticed that it’s frequently used as the background music in Chinese social networking apps such as Douyin and 快手. There was another song as well but I would have to rewatch the drama to pull them out haha
Anyone else find it weird how this drama hasn’t created it’s own OST? I’ve noticed that all the songs played in this drama seems to be already existing Chinese songs that are frequently played on the Chinese radio.
Anyone else surprised that the FL didn’t get pregnant with twins and then ran off Paris to meet with Bai Yan. And then time skip 5 years, FL and ML meet again in China? lmao
Not sure if u have finished it yet, but I actually found that a lot of the antagonists did not get punished by…
I’m not sure who it was, I think it was the uncle or somth, but they lied about the incident with the rubbish thing and tried to bribe the injured person.
Also like the SFL’s talent manager? Surely some repercussion for whatever bribery she received to prehaps give a false witness statement?
It’s also baffling that after all that ML and his mum were prepared to withdraw their claims against Su Juan. But Su Juan already handed himself in. It’s interesting cause I feel like although Su Juan did receive legal punishment, he never apologised.
But yes, I suppose your partially right, in which, the key characters did receive legal punishment :)
I surprised myself, I found myself really enjoying this drama in a crazy sort of way. This really isn't something…
Not sure if u have finished it yet, but I actually found that a lot of the antagonists did not get punished by law for their evil deeds. In fact they barely even apologised, more like they just decided to move on from their hatred.
