The business plot is no good in this one. But the romance and the ML's character was FIRE. I was tired recently of dramas portraying MLs like total love fools, clumsy and cute with barely any character to them. And this drama, with incredibly flawed ML, but yearning for love deep inside, was just what I needed. The romance part is pretty realistic for a drama (maybe apart from show's middle part). So even though ML IS cruel, IS a douchebag, I want to see more and more of him, and the moments when he smiles or is adorable are way more valuable. And his flaws are what makes it possible for him to change! FL was ok for me, nothing special, but ML was superb, as a character (def not as a friend or coworker tho xD)

honestly, im so much more excited about the second lead couple, ill young and miho..I can feel the butterflies…
Their hotel scenes were so hot. I was wishing for more. I don't understand why they have so little screentime together... especially that the misunderstanding was so easy to fix... Him just telling her that it was his lack of confidence or sth...

Great movie. But the ending is unfortunately too good to believe. Them being together is nice, with a dose of optimism I see that happening, but her being a teacher is just unbelievable... especially in China. I'd prefer to see them leave the city, change their names and become farmers, writers, or whatever job that would not require a clean criminal record and give them privacy.

Gyeongseong Creature still wasn't a romance drama, though? Not sure what's confusing. Most dramas with ML/FL have…
Wow, they provided a really nice and lengthy explanation of what they mean, which is by all means pretty reasonable (just to give you an example - Flower of Evil is in fact a romance too). But you just have to snarkily comment every opinion in this comment section which does not praise the actor to high heavens.

As for the ending theories - after spending 2 hours of my vacation on reading entire reddit thread on it, I'm more confused then I was when I started lol. There just isn't one right answer imo

To my fellas with low scare tolerance - this is a horror alright, don't be fooled by the opinions that it's a thriller as I was ><

The spin-off exists in the universe of the original as a novel. TBMT is a story within a story (NLIL). The characters…
Damn, I missed this paragraph somehow, thanks for the info. I wonder if there will be a romance between them in the first series, and then again in the spinoff (as new characters)? I can feel that it could really tire the audience out unless the chemistry is incredible. I mean, we don't really get a lot of repeated pairings in the kdramaworld, even years apart and playing different characters. But maybe it will be just a 2-4 eps special, I see how it could work that way if the original is a huge success.

I'm confused. The first one hasn't been released yet and we already know that the side couple will have a spin-off?
Also, the first one has 12 eps - seems enough time to give enough time for both couples. Maybe something happened during production, that their time in the first series was cut? Or they didn't plan the 2nd couple but they had so much chemistry that they decided for the spin-off? Maybe the spin-off will have less episodes. It's pretty weird nonetheless.

Maybe you should focus on simpler shows that require less thought? idk how else to put it. This reviews comes…
Jeez. And you're coming off as an entitled, stuck-up adult without enough imagination to consider that maybe not everyone will like the same things as you and that's FINE. The show has nothing in it that would require that much thought, maybe apart from the cultural stuff connected with hagwon - but that requires knowledge of the cultural background. Other than that, the politics of hagwon is not really mindblowingly complex. I for once agree with the review, and find nothing controversial in it. It's a simple warning, that there is no much romance in this drama and its bland - both are true for me and the writer. Maybe you're the one who should learn to give better arguments rather than the good old "you didn't understand" and "it's too deep for you". Smh

Solid movie overall, enjoyed it! But don't try to overanalyze every little thing, there will be many plotholes. And the protagonist acts stupid many times. But if she didn't there wouldn't be a movie, so I'm not mad. Also, I'm not expecting every protagonist to be genius, so her stupid decisions were fine to me

Review The Call Spoiler
I totally get your point! This is my exact problem with most theories, the fact that a "temporary" future had to be shown, based on their assumptions. I know that it's been some time since your review, so you probably don't care, but for the sake of future readers I'll present my theory below:

Lets assume that the mother survived, saved SY and stormed out of the house. YS was unconscious. When she woke up, before police, she escaped the house, but kept the phone. The reality 'calculated' itself based on that, and this resulted in SY and her mother meeting at the cemetary. Let's assume that YS is in hiding, as everyone would be looking for her.

Meanwhile in the past, after a few hours, YS wakes up - after SY and her mother already met in the present. Past YS calls the phone and the future her tells her what to do to catch SY. So that changed the timeline where she hides, to a timeline where she somehow car hes SY again, and that's why SY ends up in the basement.

It's hella confusing tho, if you find holes in my theory I wouldn't be surprised ><

The only theory that doesn't confuse me to my wit's end is this:

The reality 'calculated' itself based on that, and this resulted in SY and her mother meeting at the cemetary. Let's assume that YS is in hiding, as everyone would be looking for her.

Meanwhile in the past, YS wakes up a few hours later. Calls the phone and the future her tells her what to do to catch SY. That's why SY ends up in the basement.

Just to be clear, this is really hard to grasp for me 😅 this is just the theory that's the least confusing to me. But I personally think that the ending was great! I was really surprised. Just confusing af

Soo Jong Won cut most of his hair 😭 I knew that it would be too beautiful for him to star in long hair in this drama. Sigh...

Same! It took me 2 years too but it was really worth it.
