Oh same. And it really robbed me of all motivation to watch today's episode ngl. Maybe I should wait till next…
True, like why give them scenes with actual communication and relationship development when we can waste 2 episodes on showing them being sad and missing each other. And in most shows during this mandatory break-up period nothing significant really happens anyway, it's just that the leads suddenly realize that they prefer to be together and in the end none of their problems that lead to the breakup are actually resolved.

Yeah, I'm gonna do the same thing... I can't enjoy the show right now knowing what's coming next. It's gonna ruin my week tbh. And knowing that at best they will resolve it by the end of ep 15... 😬

I'm trying to figure out the point of making attorney Jung gravely ill/dying so late in the show. Just to add…
After ep 12 I was watching fan edits with Jung, and I became certain that he's just overworked and doesn't take good enough care of himself. There were just so many scenes when he was napping / eating badly etc. That may lead to serious health issues, of course, but I thought that the resolution of the plot will be him changing job / habits and taking care of himself, not DYING. But still, fingers crossed he won't.

I have to admit that it could have been a bit shorter, as there was some repetetiveness in the middle. But the beggining and ending episodes are just so fantastic. I am a person who in the most cases guesses who is the culprit in the beginning, but with this one, for such a limited amount of suspects, it just kept me guessing. Excellent show. But hella scary, had to look at my phone to tone the scariness down lol

It's not that it's not fitting for EAW drama, it's just that it's a cliche that is used in every second rom-com…
Hard agree!

I honestly felt so heartbroken when JH had a fight with his friend over YW. That was overall a very happy episode…
Also, people are anxious because there's so little time left for all those storylines. I want this family plot to be fleshed out, treated properly, and not just thrown in. If this show would be 20 eps or longer, I definitely feel that people, myself included, would be less anxious

It saddens me, and is making me angry, that people are dismissing real life challenges, discrimination, prejudices,…
I honestly felt so heartbroken when JH had a fight with his friend over YW. That was overall a very happy episode for our couple, with the first kiss and everything, but all I could remember was this fight - how hard it was for JH and what would YW feel if she found out. That plot really resonated with me. So I honestly have no ill intention in pointing out that overall I don't like the "your family doesn't accept me, so I'm gonna break up with you for your own good" plot. I think a family plot should appear, but maybe show us a different approach to solving it. Leads talking it out with each other. Working through it together. Of course I have no background on how things like that turn out IRL for autistic people, so I really hope my opinion isn't offensive. Once again, I don't know if that will happen in ep 14, I'm just speculating. If a plot like that appeared in a US show - I wouldn't have any problem with that, cause non-accepting family it's not really a cliche which would appear there. It's just that in Korea it's so often used as a cheap way to make some drama near the end. And especially with Jung attorney's sickness happening at the same time. I hope I managed to explain myself a little.

Geu Rami just likes him because he is handsome. I don't think if she knows how he treats Young Woo she still would…
Yes I somehow love it about that plot. Shows that there's not much more to him than his physical appearance and that's just the truth

You're forgetting that this is not a fantasy drama. It is an advocacy show thus it will depict what actually happens…
Also I feel like it came in a bad moment, with Jung attorney's sickness and MW and SY attraction just thrown at viewers all at the same time. Making it seem like just another one of those 'cheap' plots which are supposed to make the viewer sit on the edge of his seat - WILL THEY BREAK UP OR WON'T THEY? It should be more properly executed in my view

Yes, I completly understand! That's why I wrote that this plot does generally fit in EAW. My view is more of a general note on the plot being so overused nowadays in dramas that it loses its impact, making the viewers more frustrated than anything. Especially when it leads to another overused plot - breakup, and only a couple of episodes till the drama ending. But I get that it's a valid example of what autistic people experience. I just wish that it will lead to the leads talking and not jumping into a breakup.

Also, family drama over the relationship really fits into this one. But I'm just too tired of the family making…
Also, maybe that's realistic in terms of korean culture, I'm not the one to judge as I'm from Europe. But these are fictional stories, and while they should be based to some degree on the cultural background, you really don't have to put this hurdle in every other show. Just like the main characters can be shown to live in awesome, designer flats (even if they earn just so-so), and you don't mention housing crisis in Korea. Just a sidenote, not in relation to EAW
On Extraordinary Attorney Woo Aug 10, 2022
Also, family drama over the relationship really fits into this one. But I'm just too tired of the family making the leads break up in every single drama with bullshit reasons:
- cause of the partner's disease
- cause the partner isn't rich enough
- cause the partner is too rich
- cause partner's parent is a murderer
- cause the partner has a kid from a past relationship
- cause partner doesn't have a good job
It's just a never ending list.

I just want more dramas without family angst. Or dramas where they decide to work it out instead of breaking up right away. Once again, I know that in EAW those prejudices are realistic, but I'm just too tired of these plots. Let's hope for a good resolution of this in ep 14

-- We never saw the diagnosis given to Jung, so him being so wistful and looking back on his life.... is never…
Haha, exactly. With all the kdrama cliches they put in already, we're only missing a long-distance relationship and a time skip. Or childhood friends maybe?

But I'm really hoping for them to resolve it quickly, like you said, with a 2-episode arc. I have some hope after the episode in which YW resigned from Hanbada, she was right back just the next episode.

And as expected, the writing has downgraded in the second half of the show (not second I guess just the last few…
I kinda feel like it's pushed on the writers by some execs or something. It's really hard for me to believe that a person, which created a great show up until now would really believe that watchers would just LOVE to see for the millionth time the same shit cliches and there's just no other way but to include them. Like, it's not like I expected YW and JH's relationship to be all roses and sunshine. But the overall amount of angst is just unnecessary. I just hope it will all be resolved asap

Okay so I'm waiting for tomorrow's episode before watching this if it must introduce relationship angst.
YES, exactly. I won't enjoy any episode until I learn how and when the break up bullshit is resolved
Replying to Aramintai Aug 10, 2022
Ugh, are they really planning on pairing Seo Yeon with Min Woo? 🤦‍♂️🤢Also, the usual 'let's breakup'…
The worst part (besides the obvious MW being trash the ENTIRE series) is that we didn't have any buildup for SY liking MW? How are they gonna throw it in for the last 4 eps? SY was just getting over 2 other guys in previous eps. I hope she will realize that she doesn't need no man.
On Extraordinary Attorney Woo Aug 10, 2022
OK so went down the spoiler rabbit hole and watched preview of ep 14. My heart cannot take YW and JH breaking up - if they really do, I'm gonna wait to the next week to watch all 4 eps at once. I can't function the whole week with a broken heart, I have a job to attend. I know it might actually make sense in this drama but honestly, it's such a cliche plot, I can't take it, I'm too old for this. Fingers crossed they are somehow baiting us with that preview.
