Honestly, I think 8.3 is pretty good. The director gave way too much time to the secondary characters so it’s taking away from the plot. Without them, I’d say the drama deserves at least an 8.5 but I personally rate the drama as a whole
how's it so far? i wanna watch this cz of xu kai, haven't watched any yang mi shows but the plot looks interesting…
It’s pretty good! It could have been better without giving so much screen time on secondary characters and also has the classic annoying 2ML. Love the ML and FL so it’s worth watching!
I was looking at Li Xun and Zhu Yun hugs because they are so warm and tight and they ALWAYS bury their faces in each other's necks. It made me realize that one thing this drama does that I don't always see in other dramas is... after every kiss they ALWAYS hug. It makes the kiss sweeter and their love seem like the most important thing in the entire world.
Their kisses are hot!!..among the very best I've seen in asian dramas but I just love their hugs so much. It's…
YES the hug scenes are amazing. how can hugs be just as sweet as the kiss scenes? they look so warm together. esp when they bury their face in each other's neck
She really don't understand Li Xun, How could she think that a person like Li Xun who refused anyone's help and…
She's such a loser, in college she was fine and even cried while rejecting Gao because she seemed genuine, now she is a gold digger who ended up marrying Gao. She hated FZJ because she thinks FZJ is a fraud but she MARRIES Gao who partners up with FZJ to create this fraud of a company? I guess money triumphs after all
This questions probably asked and answered a while ago = why is VIKI so far behind episode?
Viki got the license late, not sure how come. Even with the license, it seems Viki has an agreement with Youku on a specific broadcasting schedule. ;_; Better than Watcha (Korean streaming platform) though, they got the license but not until 2023.
It's soo unfortunate though because I feel like this drama would have popped off on Viki if it followed the actual release schedule.
To be honest I really wish I would’ve just started from the middle of episode two and watch the flashback first…
I loved the way the drama started because it made me appreciate every scene in the past way more, trying to catch all the details that lead to the present day.
Seeing a glimpse of the present day and then watching the past made me want to root for them in the present day so much more. If it was shown in chronological order, I feel like I wouldn't have thought as deeply about everything.
i was one of the people who really wanted fast track but now that I know it's actually ending this week, i'm feeling bittersweet. i need to know what happens but I don't want to let this drama go yet ;_;
I wish Arthur posted on Instagram more, esp since he knows English and can broaden his fanbase using Instagram,…
Really? There's a good amount of Chinese actors/actresses that I follow on Instagram that don't have an overseas management company that actively use Instagram (like Bai Jingting is like constantly on Instagram). But maybe there's more technicalities to it?
Like even in 2022 he posted sometimes but rarely so I'm not sure exactly what the situation is there 0: I feel like he likes to keep a lowkey, mysterious aura there too cause in 2021, he never posted photos with his face (he would censor it lol), Jackson Wang even commented "wow I finally found your face" when he finally posted his face. He also keeps his following at 0.
People have said that a lot already but mentioning Kris Wu and Li Xun together on the day that Kris Wu is sentenced…
Because Kris Wu has literally been all over the news/all of social media, still trending at #3 on Weibo because of his disgusting crimes. If you bring up Kris Wu, obviously it's reasonable to think of the thing he is literally all over the news for. Ain't nobody wanna be called the lookalike of a criminal lmfao don't act like I'm weird for making a connection here.
I wish Arthur posted on Instagram more, esp since he knows English and can broaden his fanbase using Instagram, instead he is doing the opposite and archiving all of his photos lol
If anyone is interested in the novel vs. drama, this is a good thread to read through. https://twitter.com/wreckerofmyjoy/status/1588510218857877507?s=20&t=GMc914EMUO9LJEEFx8wHgg
Absolutely loving literally all of the changes from the novel. I love LX/ZY as they are in the drama so much, the director did such a great job with giving the characters layers :D
One thing I dislike about Cdramas is that they are filmed months (and sometimes literally years) in advance so by the time the drama is airing, the actor/actress are both busy with new projects and finding time for both of them to be present at the same promotions gets difficult. ;_; And then there's a bunch of BTS management agreements about whether or not they even want the leads to promote together because of crazy CP fans so in some dramas, there's absolutely the bare minimum promotions with both the leads together.
I wonder if we will get more from Zhang Jingyi and Chen Feiyu together cause we haven't gotten enough! We got some livestreams (and the virtual ones which don't count in my opinion) but I wish we got them attending variety shows together to promote (like Hello Saturday or whatever's airing at the moment)

I feel like Chen Feiyu probably wouldn't like to be known as Kris Wu's lookalike at this point 😅😅😅
