Zhu Yun asked Li Xun why he decided to withdraw the lawsuit without talking to her first. Zhu Yun explains to Li Xun that she hates being threatened/blackmailed and doesn't mind the scandal since she doesn't care what other people think about her. "I'm willing to accept being misunderstood"

Li Xun responds saying that he cares. "I'm not willing [to accept you being misunderstood]" Which can be understood as, Li Xun doesn't need to talk to Zhu Yun before withdrawing the lawsuit because even if Zhu Yun doesn't care, he cares. He doesn't want people to think badly of her (the quote he said to his dancer friend applies here where he can be beaten down thousands of times but not Zhu Yun, he won't allow that).

Zhu Yun says she doesn't want to waste their efforts because she doesn't want Li Xun to bow his head down ever.

Li Xun says it's not a waste because he has won Zhu Yun back. (This particular line was definitely translated weirdly, he didn't say "as long as you're by my side", he said "win you back to my side")

I'm the opposite because I enjoy angst but that's the cool thing for future watchers, they can start the drama at ep 2 and end the drama at ep 19. Or they can start the drama at ep 20 and end it at ep 36 (flashbacks are probably enough to give context).

The romance in LLTG is slow burn. The first 20 episodes are focused on character building (family life, her talents, his talents, etc) and world building (what's the political atmosphere like). The romance takes time but it's very good. I dropped it once at ep 12 because I was astounded by the lack of screentime between the leads TOGETHER but tried it again because of the hype and wow it went from dropped to 10/10.

If you liked L&P (which I'm sure you do haha), I feel like you'd like LLTG too!

WOW took the words right out of my mouth!!!! Also the umbrella scene was sweet of Zhu Yun but at most I think Li Xun would still be thinking about how miserable he is and envious of Zhu Yun's simple mind (guy with no umbrella in the pouring rain = give him an umbrella)

The one from their university days where Fang Shumiao was looking for people to join the talent show and Zhu Yun ended up performing a talk show

Not sure when we will get the special ep. Even today, there was nothing posted about L&P even though it was the finale because the former President of China passed away today and China entered a mourning period so most entertainment is on pause right now and not broadcasting. All the Weibo searches are about this and my Weibo feed is actually all greyed out for the mourning period.

Which is also why people asking about how the reception of the last episodes are on Weibo, it's difficult to say because not much entertainment news is being posted, all trending topics are related to the death of Jiang Zemin.

It was filmed end of 2021-early 2022. Not exactly sure why it's set in 2019 though - I think Li Xun gets out of prison in 2019 and they work in Feiyang and everything over the span of one or two years? Cause Zhu Yun said Li Xun is almost 30 which is why she wants a child so I think the final episodes are set in 2021

But people know of Jili as L&P because in all their ads, they always used L&P. So for people who don't do their research, they could easily think the two are the same D:

xD maybe the number of ratings is just stuck or gets updated once a day or something because it's been at 980 ratings for the past few hours. I think at least one person must have rated the drama in the past five+ hours 😅

They changed Feiyang to L&P, Dong Siyang remains the CEO, all the employees are major shareholders, L&P is legally Li Xun and Zhu Yun's after what happened to GJH. GJH left to treat his cancer.

I kind of wish they kept the name Feiyang because it's a new era for them and in the future, people won't know to differentiate the old L&P and new L&P and think that all the lawsuits L&P had (and all the bad press) for copying games.

IMO, I know L&P is an important name to Li Xun and Zhu Yun but winning it back should've been enough, they didn't necessarily have to rename Feiyang to L&P
